Is Asphalt 9 The Last Asphalt Game?

My only question is does it matter if a asphalt 10 or 11 or 12 never happens as long as they continue to evolve the current game it doesn’t matter ?

Ngl if you look at it, Asphalt 8 was sorta already dying when Asphalt 9 came out so I think we might have to look out to when Asphalt 9 starts dying before Gameloft releases the next one

@@MIGHTNOTBEHSE390 Maybe but that was handled by GL Kharkiv which also involved A9C (which Marf didn't mentioned that further) where they can share fancy features for both games like the recently A9C Gauntlet and Jesko Absolut (previously from A8). And also A8 nostalgic sea garage. Esp for A9C they make different which maybe in terms of QoL I guess.

It does Matter. Asphalt slowly started evolving after Asphalt 4. Asphalt 9's constant updates and microtransactions doesn't help the matter.

I think no matter what asphalt 9 won't die, because there is not a challenge on the mobile racing scene that can bring the fight to them, I think asphalt 9 will just be updated and updated still the end of time, as long as cars with or without wheels get produced there is no problem that it will face. And if Gameloft see this they will no that there isn't a need for another asphalt series, even as a gamer I don't think there is anything asphalt 10 will bring to the table.

Good discussion and video. I agree with Andy's comment that it doesn;t matter if there is Asphalt 10 as long as they keep updating 9. Lots of new tracks for older players would proba bly be very welcome.... I have read that there is an Asphalt 10 being developed but there have been some security related issues, also, that Asphalt 9 is very profitable still for Gameloft, so a 10 might change that balance. I agree with that possibly any statments released that indicate an upcoming Asphalt 10 could be fraudulent unless issued by Gameloft.

I think it would have been cool if a10 released on asphalt's 20th anniversary (2025) but deeming that we know gl barcalona has been working on disney speedstorm, which they said will also be a live service game, it's obviously far too late and impossible for that to happen.

I've always disregarded the possibility of Asphalt X for several reasons already mentioned in the video. But my most obvious is that A8 and A9 are now basically P2W games. The financial commitment to expect players to maintain significant progress really adds up over time and you could say it would be easier moving from A8 to A9 because of the visual upgrade and gameplay mechanic differences but what can A10 bring to the table that A8 and A9 doesn't already have? And more importantly, how do you convince players who have spent possibly 1000s of $ to abandon what they paid for in spades and start over "spending" all over again in a brand new title? Especially when most players aren't fans of P2W games.

Asphalt X would sound cool tho. not really a reason to make a whole other game XD. but maybe if they made an enhanced graphical version of it in the future as a continuation of asphalt 9 where u keep your previous cars would be cool. kinda like what The Crew Motorfest did.

I think that updating games is more successful than releasing new versions of a previous game. New versions just thin out the fan base and can lead to less variety in multiplayer pools.

We need like an open world racing Asphalt game or like a career mode type….. there is no proper game like that for mobile devices…… that would be a great A10

asphalt 9 was a huge upgrade on 8 in terms of graphics and the scaling of the cars got changed so the game could last longer and i feel like there have not been mutch improvements to mobile graphics since 2018 for it to warrant a whole new game and if they make a new one they gotta change the gameplay slightly which i think most people whould dislike

i think that gameloft is working on whole new racing game like forza because there is nothing new to add except for new cars,visual improvements and new seasons and that is boring and it is a lack of innovation.i think that making a new game or make a reboot to asphalt is a better idea than updating it.

A9 is the best car MP among ALL mobile games. Since the tracks are awesomes like Greenland etc. And that I can always improve as manual driver so... I don't need and I don't want another one

the worst timing to expect for Gameloft to make Asphalt X is how the game works, or if its much P2w for players that doesn't like to spend money on micro transactions, like alot of F2p players are getting behind because of a9 getting more boring with the P2w stuff.. but it's up to Gameloft and Vivendi to make the game but if they do, I'm gonna regret playing it even if they make the first launch f2p, what can we expect for Gameloft and Vivendi? nothing but disappointment.

From what I've heard A9 is NOT the final asphalt game. A10 was gonna be made but, both A8 and A9 were already doing very well. Why would they make a new Asphalt game and put more work on Gameloft and worse updates.

to be honest, in my opinion I don't think they would make a game, a9 and a8 has been doing good (only for the people who spend money on a useless game) and if they were to make it, it would be another F in the community, why? because in the first updates it's all good, f2p, but when other updates come it's gonna be hell for players. plus it's game size, so it's common sense for Vivendi /Gameloft Barcelona to make another game for the asphalt franchise.

It does make sense that Gameloft would rather add more content for A8 and A9. I can still them go on until a worthy successor decides to challenge them to make a new Asphalt title. So for now, new content and maybe some bug fixes.

I quit Asphalt 9 some days ago, due to its very high pay to win special events. Like each and every event that occurs now in a9, will be a legend pass exclusive. Gameloft won't even mention this on patch notes. New SE? 100 percent legend pass exclusive
