I've been in situations where I've dared the Assam chor police to stop the Assam vehicles too who could be seen driving without seat belts or to check their documents in the same manner they were doing to the Nagas. I travel to hojai(Assam) today.. and vehicle was Assam number but still they check on every Gate till Hojai. It's not Assam or Nagaland number. They check every vehicle. I m from Dimapur but posted in diphu, I pass through this gate everyday and get checked everyday. I don't mind, as it's their duty. The reporter should know that, this gate has confiscated huge amount of narcotic drug that could have spoiled our youths. They check all vehicles they find suspicious and these vehicles are from all the neighboring states including our own state. Besides this, there are so many problems faced by the city, which, the reporter should actually highlight.

It's a police man job to check. But see they mean to check NL vehicle an avoid checking AS vehicle , an asking unnecessary question . Even with proper documentation they'll ask to step out of car an let us talk with their sir, which is so sick. An if you are travelling to GUWAHTI takeing DIPHU road, definitely you'll be stop several time.

Just for a few hundred rupees they will stop us for all unnecessary reason. Their favorite line is "Sap se bat karo" or "Thana Jana parega"... They will start demanding 5-6 thousand rupees and will settle for even 200 or 300 Rs.

Assam police is doing a good job by checking as we never know who is carrying any suspicious stuffs and its for the safety of their own state but they should not do so only for money.. Naga people are not used to it so it feels like harassment..why worry when we have every single document intact ,we are entering others state so we should co-operate.. even Nagaland police or other states police can also do the same.

Stop pretending. The poor attitude, contempt and discrimination shown towards Naga travellers by the bloody Assam police is beyond despicable. They can check due to security reasons for all I care. But we all know what their real agenda is.. They can stoop so low in the hopes of getting even a 100, 50 or 10 rupees of our hard earned money. No wonder they are called Assam kuttas. And that too for no reason at all in some cases even when all our documents are up to date. Is the govt of Assam not feeding these dogs properly? Why are they begging from travellers of other states? I've heard even arunachalis face the same ordeal. They need to show some respect and treat the outsiders better if they want some respect. Remember, a policeman is a symbol of honesty and integrity and not a symbol of gratuities and free lunch.

It's better to check vehicles base on specific information by their intelligence. That would be convenient for all. That's what every state police do.

Thanks a lot to hornbill TV for ur information this is the serious issue we all are facing as if like we nagas are theif or some criminal their treating of unnecessary checking given ng us lots of inconvenience to our public and also the commercial too All over India no one or no other states check their states boundary gate like this to my experience within our country even from Jammu Kashmir to kanyakumari.....i only came accross this Assam police checking all the cars coming from our nagaland state also I have face 2/3 times with my own personal car too eventhough i have my car documents and one is newly bought car from showroom with all the documents the very police personnel trying to find my mistakes through my behaviour but atlast he come to know what my status and my profession after that he let me go off frm there.....our Govt need to rolled up against them

Thanks HB tv for the news coverage # Here is my serious comments on this, am staying in this area. Neither i condemn Assam check gate nor Nagaland gate. But one clarification is, not only NL registered but even MN, ML, WB etc registered are all checked very intensively. Secondly, this Assam check out post under Delliah police station is one of the good performing check gate in Assam, since from lockdown they are actively on duty. Dear community! Let us be rational atleast in one area. See...... The distance between NG & AG is just around 100-120meters, but however, in that Assam gate everytime they caught drugs, heroine, sunflower etc, worth of crores of rupees, i hope we all are aware of those news. But why not in Nagaland Gate even 1 gram of drugs? Thirdly, since this is also related to Nagaland gate, at present where the check post, the desk of monitoring challans & recipes are proceeding is actually a public waiting shed, but during covid 19 , they turn that as their main desk. Actually this is also not right, because that particular place was meant to be public use. However, if any official procedure works had done regarding the use of public waiting shed than i have no agenda. .

In Meghalaya when you enter Shillong they checked Assam vehicle whether it's commercial or private but. They never checked Meghalaya registration number, Sometime when there is any information than only they checked ML number, but when NL or ML enters right in the heart of Assam like Gauhati or Jagi road they stopped our vehicle without any reason asking our Documents etc etc just to harass us ML and NL numbers

We are interning there territory so no option every NL reg would check and even they don't know NL govt reg number also but the good thing is that we can negotiate easily not like nagaland police ...and if we start checking As reg or others reg in nagaland then 50-60% will be our own naga's ...We all know that govt tried to stop using others state registration but it was unsuccessful till date...so instead of blaming about the inconvenience why don't we change first after that only we can do the same.....

They assam police check every Nagaland car in any road where their vehicle were either in check gate or in any road. They harrased me this month on Date 5/06/2023, the driver was using seat belt and as a passenger I was not using seat belt and the Assam police told me to come out of the car and charge me Rs. 1000 and and I hesitate of paying and kept on enquiring with one of the police and at last they told me to pay Rs 200, I don't have choice and pay they them Rs. 200. They even go upto the extend of slapping me saying I will beat you here if you talk too much and show his hand on my face saying bad words. The Govt of Assam should do something on this, if not they(Assam Police) will always keep on harrassing Nagaland Vehicular movement.

Of course Assam police are over sometimes, but we should appreciate what they are doing in this heat and rain. They are only doing what they are supposed to do ( their duty) unlike Nagaland police who knows only to harass rickshaw puller, auto wallas, two Wheelers.... I'm sorry if it is done but personally even though i drive a four Wheeler, I've never ever seen them checking four wheeler except for mini trucks and trucks, reasons best known to them......???????????
