I'm still watching! I've had a yearly subscription to Audible for a long time! I love them. I don't have much time to actually read, so audiobooks and a good set of earbuds keeps me able to listen no matter what I'm doing. With the yearly membership, when I'm out of credits I am able to buy 3 more for $29.90 and it seems to be unlimited. They often have a BOGO free special so you can get 2 books for 1 credit. I've also never had an issue returning a book! I also like the stats. This is a great video! I have Audible and have had for years and still watched the whole video! Great content. Keep up the great work!
@MyGully14 жыл бұрын
Thankyou so much for your video. I couldn’t understand why I was offered one credit when I rarely used Audible. I am going on a trip and only used my first books while on the road an hour once a week. You see that wasn’t really worth it, but, now will want to listen 4-5 hours a day for a couple weeks. You helped me understand how this works. The two books you’re recommending are excellent choices for young people trying to get started in life. I read them more than 20 years ago, still remember them fondly.

Yay, an up to date Audible explained! I just watched one from UK but the pounds vs dollars frustrated me. You answered all my questions, especially the return option, considering I'm hard of hearing certain accent's are difficult to understand at times. Usually I get my audiobook via the library (since my son is a librarian I don't even have to waste gas, he drops it off on his way home😂). I also use YT but searching for complete books is at times horrendous, I've learned to check comments before starting for any complaints/warnings (it's a bitch listening to a 12 hr book to find no frickin ending!). I recently read that Audible is having issues related to Closed Captions. I understand that why not just buy the book if you're going to read it? But I do find cc helpful for people with dyslexia, hard of hearing, learning a different language and of course lack of space to keep them. Thanks for your time and I did subscribe to your channel to see what else you have to offer.

Still watching. Thanks to your video, I learned about the awesome refund process. I had a couple of audio books just sitting in my account that I didn't like and I was able to return them and get credits back to use, yay! Last year, I was actually a gold member for a couple months but then I cancelled because I felt I wasn't listening to enough books to justify the monthly cost. This past April I decided to re-join under their Silver plan, which is 1 credit every two months, so $14 charged every two months, and this seems to suit me better.

You might want too add that you can suspend your subscription for 3 months without having to cancel and resubscribe so that is another option they offer. I LOVE Audible. I prefer listening to books rather than watching videos. I buy additional credits as well as my monthly subscription. They also offer members 2 for 1 deals as well as daily deals. Currently the Christmas deal is 40% of ANY book in your wishlist (or really any book) some have been reduced to amazing prices and I have bought them and as you pointed out kept my credits for any books costing more than a credit costs me. There are SO many books to choose from across a wide range of genres. You can also gift books and or subscriptions. This year I asked all my family NOT to buy me gifts but give me cash to spend on Audible credits.

My big question is: what about the library? In the States, public libraries are common, and a lot of them are on Overdrive or Libby, which are free apps that let you download audiobooks from the library's database. You still have the library checkout limits, and sometimes you have to wait until a book is available just like with physical books (for some reason), but it's totally free. I can have ten books checked out and hold them for 21 days for no cost. Furthermore, especially for audiobooks, I don't care about owning a copy because I'm not going to suddenly go back and read it or look up a passage again. These apps also have e-books, but I've not used that feature. If you listen to a lot of audiobooks, look into Overdrive or Libby before you pay $15/month for one book, plus the opportunity to spend more money. It sounds like Audible is essentially a discount bookstore with a couple freebies available each month.

Hmm I'm not entirely sure on this. I really wanna get into big long fantasy series like the Wheel of Time series which has over 10 books which means it would take me over a year to get through them all using my monthly credits when I'm mostly likely gonna go through each book in like 1-2 weeks between my daily 40 minute commute (80 minutes in total) and walks plus just if I'm playing games or something. I got given the Harry Potter books on audiobook and that lasted me 3 months or so and many of the books I got my eye on are at a similar length. Has to be something better for my situation.

0mon0zz The KZbin search algorithm rewards Longer videos IF they are watched.. of course KZbin wants people to stay on KZbin as long as possible. It also rewards videos that result in likes, comments, and subs. This is why you have every video by anyone successful asking you to “like,comment, and sub” 2-3 times a video Sure 1 comment won’t do much, but if a couple thousand people like and comment, it will move the video up in the search list.

I can spend $25 on iBooks for shorter books or up to $40 for longer books...or I can just do a monthly subscription and get access to them all for $15 each if I’m willing to wait. I got the first two books free and I’ll have the rest within 5 months, which is fine. After that, we’ll see if I like the service enough for $15 a month to be worth it.
