Is Austrian's Economy Anything Special?

I flew on Austrian’s retro A320 (OE-LBO) two years ago Zurich to Vienna. The crew were great. I’d recommend flying these European airlines on short routes like that as they have the same service.

That WWII reference is WILD. Interesting how “first class” is a 3-3 configuration opposed to the 2-2 premium economy type seats. Maybe it IS premium economy if it provides extra legroom. Also right before takeoff at 2:45 you can see an Airbus Beluga.

Yep that’s European style business class. Same economy seat, same legroom. You get a blocked middle seat (except when you don’t, ie on SAS, or when BA oversells the flight). I’ve flown it before on award tickets but never paid for it. As for the Anschluss reference, what, you think I was going to visit Austria, Berchtesgaden and Munich and not crack a few angry Austrian mustache man jokes? Just wait for the next video…

When it comes to intra-EU flying, it's really just who has the most direct/convenient flights now if there isn't a train available. Plus, it all kind of blends together with the Lufthansa, AF/KLM, and IAG airline groups to give us 50 Shades of Beige. It's not worth going out of the way for any of them.

It’s a short flight. What do you expect?!? By the time you reach altitude where the crew can safely do service, you’ll soon go down for landing.

@@Travelog trust me. I’m french. But like what can Austrian besides toss a sandwich and bottle of water?’ Like after takeoff it takes 15 minutes to prepare and Go down aisle. By then it’s time for landing.
