Biggest fraud in fragrance today is poor performance. That's the primary reason I watch fragrance reviews. To keep from wasting $ on frags that others have already identified as weak. If a company is marketing juice as a fragrance, that juice should project "fragrance" and last more than an hour before fading to a skin scent. Would you pay $100 for a meal that you could taste for only the first few bites? Kudos to Parfums Vintage for at least producing fragrances that perform.

I don’t want anyone to have a bad impression of fragrancenet.com but my experience from buying a aventus from them was a bad one. The bottle was fake, it was literally water with rubbing alcohol and the design of the bottle had air bubbles and it didn’t even have the stem inside the bottle so it wouldn’t suck up the juice unless I flipped the bottle upside down. Now the customer service is great I returned it and got my money back. Out of all my purchases from them this was the only bad experience I had. However when I called them and told them the bottle was fake, the lady couldn’t understand what my problem was..I kept saying “the bottle is fake” “it’s not original, the smell makes me think it’s water with alcohol” Side note: the bottle didn’t have a batch code but the box did. I don’t remember the batch code but I remember it was 2018 batch And she told me that it can’t be fake because they buy straight from retailers but they would still refund me nonetheless if I ship it back to them. I still buy from them and still recommend to anyone but I ended up buying 2 emperor extraits and didn’t want to buy aventus anymore knowing that everyone says extrait is a better vintage batch of creed than current creeds

Creed is greedy. When they have to forecast growth year after year they have to figure out methods to cut production costs while maintaining the integrity of the product. The problem they’re running into is that the consumer (or fan base) are privy to their tactics and are calling foul! But the frag heads constitutes a small percentage of their sales. “New noses” make up the bread-and-butter of their sales thus the “cologne” version which will be undoubtably cheaper. -they need a bigger demographic in an effort to feed growth. It not just about the cost of sourcing raw materials, they’re a business plain and simple.

This stuff is the bomb, I bough PVI and something was very off with the pineapple vintage intense.... gave them another shot with emperor extrait because rush of unicorns was the bomb. Emperor extract is the best fragrance I have and I have most of creed fragrances. This stuff blows the current Aventus away, I’ve never smelt older batches of Aventus but if it smells like this creed should bring it back

I wish I would have seen this video before I purchased Aventus. I had tried some from a buddy of mine, but he had an older bottle. I got close to 10 hours of longevity with his. I received batch 18B01. I tried it for the first time the other day, and I only got 6 hours of longevity. I LOVE the smell, but for the price, it just isn't worth it to me. I guess it's one of those lessons learned type of things, but that was a very expensive lesson!

I own Emperor sample and PVI. I got emperor and not emperor extrait due to wearability especially to an office. If you have emperor you do not need extrait. Now Emperor vs PVI. IMO Emperor is blended well and is balanced similar to PVI but a tiny bit less on the Pinneapple.

Out of my 4 bottles of Aventus, my 16K11 & my 17Q11 are greener than my 18B01. I want my money back!!! All joking aside, Aventus is certainly not what it once was. Im owning an aventus 18E01 Batch and i cannot agree.. after those discussions about the weak Performance of newer Batches, i tested the 18E01 again.. Sprayed it on moistiurized Skin, on clothes and on tussiue.. For me, the 18E01 smells very fruity, mix of pineaplle and apple and These notes are projecting 2 up to 3 Hours on my Skin... after this time, i only smell the fruity notes when i directly smell on the places i put the fragrance on... On clothes and on the tissue, i can smell aventus even after 15 Hours.. but to be fair, i dont have those older Batches to compare with...

Why pay $190 for a clone when you can have the REAL DEAL for the same price from buying split/decant? there's quite a lot people in the forum bought the 1000ml legit Aventus for $1305 and split them into decants for about $160~$190 per 100ml decant. I did buy the 50ml of Extrait and EDP out of curiosity, between the two the extrait is much more intense with better projection and longevity than EDP.

I’m 53 and I’ve been wearing Aventus way before people went bananas 🍌 over Creed. Even have the empty bottles. Was my signature scent but there is a considerable difference in the way it smells now. Don’t have the 17/18 batches but am curious about the cologne. Maybe they’ll bring back that 15/16 scent. Let hope but it’ll depend on the price point. $600 for a 100mil?

I've never tried any of them, but in most cases, the difference in EDP and Extrait are that extrait will have the deeper, heavier scent, the edp projects better and the extrait lasts longer (the longevity and projection delta is caused by oil and alcohol concentrations where, while the edp has more alcohol to evaporate and push the fragrance outward, the extrait has more oil to stay on the skin) may not be the case for many fragrances, but it is for most.

right so that question has a few answers and one of the answers is that because Creed is Niche and have special license / fill orders with farmers and suppliers; they (Creed) cannot guarantee that the produce/ingredients they got 1 year from a special farm will be or could be the same as the year before. Creed has specific deals with suppliers so that they (Creed) can receive produce that no other business can use and that has a lot to do with it but for sure Money/Greed is still ultimately the biggest reason.

11Z01, 12E02, 12C02 Aventus I own. I remember buying the 11Z01 70% full 4oz flask in late 2013 for $225 eBay , then in 2015 I bought the 12C02 90% full of 4oz flask for $250 eBay . I bought my first retail bottle in 2013 of 12E02 (sooo Smokey) a 30 ml little bottle from Neiman Marcus for $155. I am literally sad at what has happened to Aventus smell wise. ⚰️R.I.P. I only use it on certain occasions, so since I'm basically a homebody I still have about 5/6 of it left. Every time I wear it I get compliments, the projection and sillage are incredible, probably better than any other cologne I have. I had no idea that I lucked out until I checked out this vid, that dark smokiness is why I love it so much. I'm sort of disappointed that if I use up this bottle I may not be able to find one with the same effect, but then again at the rate I'm using it I should have the bottle for another thirty years or so..lol.

Have you tried batch 18b01? I agree that all 17 and 18 batches are not worth the money because of the poor performance, but 18b01 is the only exception. I hunted a bottle of that one for a while. I traded my discontinued full bottle, with the coffin and all Kilian Sacred Wood for a bottle of it that had 60ml left. I like it that much. People say it's the grail batch of 17 and 18 batches.

Intense aims to replicate the more fruity batches of Aventus and Vanilla Intense aims to replicate more vanilla prominent batches of Aventus and so on. Emperor however aims to replicate Vintage grail Aventus. If you are looking for more recent version of Aventus then Emperor is not for you and you should buy other releases from this house. However, if you want vintage 2015 balanced Aventus with no notes overpowering the others, then this is what you want.

I bought Viking, 50 ml for like 210 euros. The projection is bad, longevity is ok. Smell is fantastic, but the projection is just as important as longevity since I want people to smell what I'm wearing. Even though my Bois Du Portugal performs better I'm scared away from buying creed again. The performance for the price you get is crazy. Plus the batches. I'm done with creed. I'll buy clones, smell might be synthetic bla bla but they perform many times better and I'll save money.

I have the aftershave executive man from sterling. I like it. It's light and fresh, but lasts only about 15 minutes or so before it fades away... Still I use it every week..

It’s shocking that the words weak, moderate are now used in the same sentence as the word Aventus. Back pre 2014 you would never have those words together in the same sentences!!! It was a notorious BEAST! A monster among monster frags! It was so damn powerful. I walked into a Saks in late 2016 early 2017 and put my nose to a bottle after only owning early batches, I was totally in shock and speechless that I could barely smell anything from the nozzle and then paper. It was so weak if you told me they dumped out 95% of the juice and filled the rest with water, I would have believed you. That was the day I realized the king had died. Creed HAD the greatest fragrance of all time at one point, but they let it die or had to let it die. It will be missed dearly... SMH Creed

The EDP projects just slightly better than the Extrait but it doesn’t last as long. Go for the extrait as it’s more dense And darn close to Aventus 2015
