Is AWS AppRunner the worst way to run containers?

For the love of god I don't understand why they didn't offer scale to zero to compete with Cloud Run, this pissed me off in a big way.

While I like cloudrun, it's a PITA to use in internal Private VPC networks as a backend not publickly available. That said, Scale-To-Zero with apps which have huge cold start costs means I would never expect something to be running the containers I've been given to run to actually scale to zero. The way Apprunner charges at min is low too, the other features don't get billed if there's no requests as I've seen. I think it's viable for some things, and the integration, and not having to fiddle with stuff if you just need a URL to CNAME to a THING is solid. Just not for enterprises who require clean and careful control on all FQDNs.
