24:30 Shaman's upgraded hero power has always been bad but nowadays its super garbage. Before, the main advantage was that it gave you on demand spell damage but without wrath of air totem it's way less useful.

i know this is a late comment but the upgraded hero power for Shaman should be the normal hero power and then fix the upgrade to have the wrath totem. At least that way, Shaman's hero power wouldnt be utter garbo.

"fireblast rank 2" is nice throwback to old times in WoW, when spells used to have ranks and You had to pay for them separately (and it wasnt cheap)

Lesser Heal to Heal is funny, but the healers were the ones that really utilized the separate ranks of spells for quicker casts and lower mana costs.

It was played in a few shudderwock shaman lists but those decks generally cut it now. I did play a galkarond shudderwock shaman list which used it an expansion or two ago tho

@@musicalleds1205 Nah not really. You can slap almost any card onto Shudderwock Shaman and the deck will perform great. Haven't seen any top legend builds running Zentimo recently.

I remember when you had to play Justicar Trueheart to get your tank up She's honestly my favorite card ever in Hearthstone, I loved playing control warrior, she was also great for midrange paladin and a control priest

Nah, justicar was awesome, but Super feels bad. Playing her on curve in warrior was backbreaking for the opponent and near insurmountable considering the value you get, but also, if you don't draw her until later in the game she's literally a dead card, since the value you gain is incremental you need her asap, so either she helps your deck massively or does nothing, Baku at least gave you the value right away but weakens your deck to accommodate

Nope He needed to change weapon from bow to glaive, using glaive was 5 damage but Muncher would've healed for 5 too.

As soon as Death Knight came out I made Baku aggro for it and it works GREAT. The thing I went for was an Undead lineup with double unholy and one blood, spamming a lot of 1 drop undead along with power 3 drops, topping it off with Loatheb. The reach of the 2 power ghoul is GREAT for helping close out games, because it's basically a hunter hero power that can get buffed. With Banshee, Arms Dealer and Skeletal Sidekick, you can pump your ghoul to the moon if need be.

Is it still decent in Wild? I always thought the main benefit of the DK hero power was steady corpse generation, so I’ve been running Even DK and leaning into max corpses for Unholy. LMK if you have a good/recent deck list for Odd DK

I don’t know if you’ve done anything like this but a hearthstone format where players choose 3 expansions they can build decks out of would be a neat idea. Alternatively a format where players draft for expansions they want to play.

Odd Rogue was one of my first decks coming back to HS. I still use it to this day for climbing, it's very good against the Diamond floor's usual Even Shaman, Secret Mage, other aggro and is honestly not that bad into Shudder, Kingsbane, and QL Druid depending on your build. I've actually cut Deadly Poison and Cutting Class so my Door of Shadows reliably tutors copies of Cold Blood and Secret Passage. Cold Blood revert is insane for the deck's burst: a deckhand + infused Door of Shadows is a 4 mana Pyroblast if it grabs Cold Blood. Odd Paly, Odd QL Druid, Odd DH, Odd Rogue, and to a lesser extent Odd QL Hunter and Odd Warrior are very good if a bit outdated/powercrept Wild decks. Odd Shaman was a thing too when Wrath of Air Totem was still in the game: deck had a lot of burn available at the time.

even after 4 years im still playing my even reno control warlock. it has evolved into an even-reno-dragon-corrupt-mill-demon warlock since then, but it still claps. playing mountain giant on turn 3 is so fun, and i still have ~80% winrate with it in wild (altho since i barely play im only getting up to platinum usually). it looks like such a wonky deck but somehow it just works against most things. it cant win against mill druid or pretty much any rogue deck but against anything else its still insane.

Oh odd rogue, my beloved. A lot of the other good baku and genn decks get repetitive and boring after a while, but odd rogue is the exception. Mostly plays close, skill testing games that really rewards tight play. Also sometimes you get to nut draw people out of the game by turn 4, which is fun too!

Dude this was such a braindead print and it still got so much play. On the other card, you were guaranteed to be able to use your hero power at least every other turn. On odd turns, you'd have 1 mana left over because of your even cards and always be able to HP. But with Baku, you could play any amount of odd cards to equal whatever mana you had. Having 2 mana remaining while also using only odd cards is super hard to accomplish, and on turn 10+, to maximize mana and hero power usage, you'd have to combine odd cards to equal 8 mana. But of course to equal 8 mana, you'd have to use an even number of cards. So basically 2 or 4 cards every turn to equal 8 to have no mana bleed. AWFUL IDEA PERFORMED AMAZING HOW

No, sadly. Baku only upgrades your basic hero power, so it either triggers first, then bishop replaces it, or bishop triggers first, and Baku does nothing.
