The printer gets significantly quieter on some specific noisy motions after around 200-300 print hours. I guess it has to do with some moving parts getting their top layer which is making the squeak and whistle noises, rubbed off due to usage.

LOL I wonder if I will be able to tell the difference. Sometimes I can hear the printer from other parts of the house and I'm like what the h*ll is that then I remember LOL

Adrian, i've dumped the AC printer, Dumping the Creality printers as i'm waiting for my 2nd P1S. If you want to try some silk, Set Outerwall speed to 40 & in acceleration set Normal Printing to 5000 and outer wall to 3000 & you will be Amazed at the Quality and sheen from Silk Filament! :)

....Im glad you are happy so far with your PS1 uuuuh P1S!😊 The flushing volume was my first thought, you gotta deffo tweak that stuff for each color, especially going from dark to light. The auto calculated values are a good point to start at, but not always enough. You can minimize waste by flushing into the objects supports and infill if you didnt notice/try the setting yet. Also if you can, make use of the variable layer height feature in Orca and make the layers with color switches as thick as possible so you dont have to flush as often. And about the noise: I got this thing in my 1 room appartment and yes, its not quiet, BUT its also not slow!! If you turn down the acelleration and print at more reasonable (and consitent) speeds like 200mm/s, youll start to hear the external fan more then anything. I dont know about the P1S driver board, but my X1Cs turned out to be capable of letting me just buy an original replacement AUX fan, rip the completely useless but only half as strong chamber fan out and through its filter slot route the uncut wire to that awesome "Bambu Lab P1 X1 Dual Aux Fan/Bento Box 7/28 Updated" on Printables. Its been running totally fine for half a year like that, just doesnt get the full 100% juice the other one gets: But thats the cool thing now (ba-dum-tzzzz)😅 I can set em both to 50%, not hear em anymore at all and still get more even part cooling across the whole plate. The are some dead spots with just the one original fan.... I can highly recommend this filter/fan duct combination. It filters just as good as any other Bento Box variant and with the P1S having the same chamber fan, Im sure it would work like on mine without needing to solder together a cable to grab the PWM signal from the board and juice from the PSU. And since you are just plugging a potentially more capable but still original fan into the board without any further modifications, I wouldnt be concerned about warranty either. The board has to limit what it can give out and turn off when its too much. You are just using 100% of its capabilities more often then before while getting a slightly less performing fan, which with this duckt still ends up equally strong as the stock one. And about the build plate: I only the smooth PEI with Engineering plate on the back, so can only comment on those, but I found that first of all dollar store glue sticks are just as good as original Bambu glue and actually you usually prefer a clean plate over the use of glue. Actually actually, the glue is more supposed to be a boundary layer to LOWER adheasion😅😅😅 I hope any of this was of any value to you and/or anyone else reading, wish you lots of fun with your machine!!😊

Dude, I thought you were winding me up a bit, but I see there is a silent mode. I will check it out, can't at the moment because it's printing, but I will today. I imagine it must slow the printer down some, but I don't mind. Thank you very much :)
