Bangladeshis have realized that Mujeeb was an indian agent who danced on the tune of Indra Gandhi. The people of East Pakistan didn't want separation they had some reservations with the government of West Pakistan but those could be resolved. But it was Mujeeb who was adament on separation and afterwards he put Bangladesh under the slavery of India.

Mujib was never titled “bongobondhu” or “father of the nation” by the people of Bangladesh. It was his own party who titled him these generous titles. And yes major Zia did announce and that’s what we learned growing up in 80-90s. It changed when Hasina came to power

pls google and find (audio)who first declare the independece of Bangladesh? Sheikh mujib never wanted Independence , he wanted to become the prime minister of Pakistan. He got arrested ( self arrested ) and went to Pakistan to negotiate the deal but failed to do so.

History repeats itself and those that Gods destroy are first given a free reign like Hasia(modern Pharaoh). She should not have been let go. What Bangladeshi are doing is to correct the Bangladesh history made and written by India and its agents in 1971. They rightfully believe that in 1971 India and its agents took over Bangladesh (East Pakistan) and rule it on behalf of India as an Indian Colony during the periods Mujib and Hasina ruled. The real freedom came when Mujib was removed. That is what the Bangladeshi has always believed and that is what they went through and that is the truth to them.
