Let's talk animal seed dispersal! This process, where frugivorous animals consume fruits and excrete the seeds as they move across the landscape, is really important to establish plant seedlings elsewhere - and therefore also important to restore fragmented #forests.
Our postdoc Dr. Carolina Bello and a team of collaborators undertook research with bird data from the Atlantic Forest in Brazil to find out when animal seed dispersal can best contribute to forest restoration. Watch above to learn more about their findings!
