Are humans native to rainforests, though? I thought we were more grassland. Also, top thousand songs is a pretty arbitrary category. Why not choose songs most rated as relaxing or good as background noise? Lots of popular songs are upbeat high-energy dance songs, which doesn't really match the vibe of rainforests. This short doesn't go into much detail about the conclusion, but it doesn't seem very significant if our music preferences are somehow secret proof that we prefer pristine rainforests over degraded rainforests. You probably could have gotten the same conclusion by showing people photos of pristine and degraded rainforests. Nature is important even if we don't like it, so why does our preference matter? Most people care about nature in the abstract; they're just not willing to sacrifice their own prosperity to protect it. Saying our subconsciouses like nature won't convince people to lobby the government to regulate the oil industry in a way that makes gas prices go up.
