Loved the video. I grew up here, went to Grange School, then Bo’ness Academy. I have been in the USA for 40 years, but Bo’ness is home.

Thanks for your comment, i enjoyed filming boness, but the big draw for me was a pizza from the barracuda chip shop, just down from the fire station yum. Cheers g.

I truly loved it. I am considering moving to Bo'ness in the spring. It's between Bo'ness and Inverkeithing, so this was a great assist. Thank you.

Glad to hear it, there is a cracking pizza take away up the hill, the barracuda, well worth a visit. Boness is a nice enough wee place, but not too far from falkirk or edinburgh.,cheers g.

@@thewanderingkilt4698 I’ve cycled from Blackness to Bo’ness along the shore. There’s lots to see at the docks. Some old cranes that I used to repair and a big disused square harbour. I wonder if that white building was once a cinema. It looks like the Maybury Casino. As you say Art Deco. Lots of them still in Glasgow. I photographed a few of them a while back.

5:22 The building was called the coffin block because people thought the doorway was shaped like a coffin

You are wrong. This is a Treat. I long to visit Bo'ness in time for late breakfast, after watching your film. Magnificent buildings, lovely views of the Firth of Forth. Wonderful architecture. Mysterious on this darkish day. A hidden treasure.

I was in Bo'ness recently and was also struck by the number and quality of Art Deco buildings. However, you have missed out a lot by sticking to the town centre. Travel up the hill and some of the houses are stunning.

@fionaramsay9157 unfortunately I have found that people tend not to watch more than 10 minutes so I try to get as much in as I can, to give a flavour of the area. Thanks for your comment, cheers g

In all the years I’ve worked in Bo’ness, I’ve never had a fish tea in the Corvies. I always went to the one up at the football grounds. The large building at 04.30 ish, was the Star cinema… I think it became a repair shop. Someone lives at the top of the building still… I work at the heritage railway on the foreshore. We just this weekend started running steam hauled trains for the tourists etc… come and have a trip.

Sadly it was closed as there's nothing better to film than a steam train or two. Maybe try again later this year, cheers g.

Same i was brought up in Boness and never had anything out of Rosie Corvies either - people in Bo"ness have long memories - i seem to remember my mum talking about how there used to always be a cat on the counter during the war - as i say very long memories and very unforgiving - think the few times we had chips they were out the one your talking about - I remember an old lady called Aggie Rothney had a small chippy out towards Bridgeness and she used to buy your greenshield stamps and Embassy cigarette coupons form you
