Boom Bap will always be king, the 90s golden era will forever remain unmatched. Walking to middle school with my giant Walkman and CD folder in my backpack is a core memory.

Me from the UK. I make Boom Bap, and listen to Boom Bap like Benny The Butchers Crew, but recently I have also started to appreciate Trap Beats, and Drill Beats as they are all creative art forms that I enjoy listening to. I would say no Subgenre is better than the other.

@@Justanuggy nah hov is a better lyricist in terms of entendres, and flow. Nas better at storytelling tho. I feel like hov is more consistent

Crazy how this is basically a top 20 rappers list too lol. Only for me I'd have Nas 1st then biggie then Big L but it's all personal choice.
