I got the bourg awhile ago at your recommendation and have never regretted it. I really enjoy the ship and perform in it really well, even with wonky dispersion sometimes I just find it way more consistent

Struggled with Bourgogne first cause i wasnt used to french BBs since i mostly played BBs with better armor. However, once i got used to it, it became my favourite ship in the game. Completely obliterated my old dmg record (309k with Hindenburg) with a 353k match (no arms race). The firepower and the ability to re-position quickly makes Bourgogne so good!

Same here, I do pretty consistent 80-100k average in the Yammy, but find it hard to impact games. I love playing it but have a dismal 39% win rate, it’s my only T8-T10 that’s below 50%!

What is with the win rate, it’s like you’re working and need to meet your metrics. if u play with a squad u may have high we rate. If you play solo on random, then likely your win rate is under 50%

@Taooflu I feel it is mostly that everyone knows how to deal with Yammy attacks. Every time I have a target to shoot at, they travel at an extreme kiting angle that makes yamato shells with their odd dispersion miss or clang thr belt. That aside it also needs to actually do damage, pens alone isn't enough and HE, while potentially effective, isn't what the 460s are good at.

@DreadJaeger The clan I used to sail with often called her the Bon Jovie because it was hard for them to spell or pronounce Bourgogne correctly. Every ship has a juvenile name attached to it. Yammy, GK, Hindy, Monty, Chris, Krem etc.

I got the Bourg as soon as I had enough steel based largely on your rec.; no regrets. Now, I've acquired the majority of the steel ships (lots of ranked an CB). I wouldn't change anything about my purchases - Bourg #1 - resistance in futile. 😎

I had it in the past, the reload booster is nice, but apart from it and bit better base reload I would go for Alsace. But I used to play it full secondary though, bit dodgy idea in the current meta. 😐

6:18 "HE spam, concealment, and speed." So basically, a good BB these days needs to have the strengths of a BB and cruiser with none of the cruiser weaknesses. Of course, playing a cruiser these days is just suffering since a lot of BB's now outgun (with overmatch!), out-spot, and outrun most cruisers (Schlieffen, Lauria, Vincent, etc.). On the other hand, you have cruisers like Conde that have BB-level AP alpha strike... Looks like a good cruiser needs to have the strengths of a cruiser and a BB without the BB weaknesses (like Conde, Petro, and Napoli).

@@Posilepton close quarters buffs main battery when secondaries fire and French bbs get decent range on them with a build for it. The secondaries themselves stay useless so you don't take manual aiming, just long range and close quarters expert.

I would love for them to make the autoaim toggleable, maybe in the settings menu. So we could aim and not have the AA try to guess where the ship is going next ands screwing our aim up because of it.

@@asdzsolt6442 None at the moment. I have a full secondary build Alsace with a free bonus package so that scratches my french bb itch. The only downside to Lauria that I can see is that I have Sansonetti on her with a full accuracy/tank build, but will have to change him to secondary build when Sicilia comes out. I dont want to have to keep changing him around between the two ships, seems like a waste of commander xp.

Love this ship and by your suggestion sometime ago was my first steel ship to pick up. Then It was Mecklenberg´s turn and at present time loading up on steel to get the incomparable. Quick question: according to your opinion what would be the best equivalent to Bourgone as a tier VIII BB if any and if there isnt any what would be your strongest pick for tier VIII BB in todays ranked battles. Ive got and tried the Champagne but with only 6 guns, man is it hard to be impactful.

Lauria is far better due to 30mm overmatch, much better accuracy and ridiculous SAP

I own both and I think bourgogne is the better ship. Neither ship is good at pushing. Lauria can tank better when showing her ass, but her guns are trollier and struggle against thick armor

I think we also need your version of Aim Assist. I just cannot get how you aim like that know exactly what spot to shoot in a fraction of a second unless there is a cross hair there that we cannot see in the video as its overlay gets filtered out. I am open to alternatives though, maybe this was a 1 in 50 games?

Dude ive watched alot of your vids now and i got to say, all your games are freaking phenomenal. I dont games like this, and i think i play pretty well. Either bad rng or just not at the right spot. I mean, my best game was 200k damage and you seem to average that which is insane. I honestly dont understand how you dont have bad games. If i get over 100k im feeling pretty good especially in this meta where alot of people are very conservative. It blows my mind how well all your games go.

My first and probably only pick was the Mecklenburg and after 330 games with it, I don't regret it. Once you are used to the excellent dispersion, you don't want to play other BBs anymore. And 16 guns can even do 20k salvos and citadel over 25km on a G.K., which is quite entertaining when you imagine the gamers "WTF-Face" 🤪 And I play it 95% AP only. So what advantage would a Bourgogne bring to me? So I don't know, that's why I wouldn't pick it. I'd rather get the funboat Austin for more WTF-Faces when the enemy BBs melt in a rapid chaingun fire

Bourgogne was just there before Mecklenburg. When Mecklenburg was released, there was not much reason to pick it if you had bourgogne already.

The Burger may not always be the best choice from a meta perspective, but I have more fun in this ship than almost any other BB in the game. You can do so much, reposition so fast, and the reload booster produces so many "surprised pikachu" moments.

I'm getting fairly close to being able to afford a steel ship. I've always resonated with the DD play style the most so I've been thinking of getting Ragnar, but I would love to get the opinion of someone who is actually good at the game and plays it a ton before I commit all my steel.

Ragnar is good all gun dd, not very manouverable, similar to Smaland if you have that don't get Ragnar. Friesland and it's equivalent are pretty similar too. It's a good ship but not something I love... to be honest it doesn't really play much like a dd, all guns no smoke, large spotting range. But it can be good in competetive for counter dd...

Sometimes your team will lose an easy win simply because they decide not to retake a better position or finishing off the right target

Issue with Bourgogne is that you're great at midrange and can spam HE at long range, but you're made of paper and can't really 1v1 any other BB. As soon as people notice you and position with you in mind, it's time to move. That enemy Incompetence played like he was braindead, full broadside all game with no respect for you. Deserved what he got. I can't wait to see you give that ship another go.

I agee lol. People think Incomp is soo good, yet the ship rely heavily on matchup, since CVs screw it so hard. And I’m not talking about them attacking you. On Asia, even getting spotted will cause the entire enemy team to focus you down instantly. My former clan leader decided to get her as his first steel ship, then within 10 games refunded her for steel and bought Plymouth of all things. Incomp needs brainless idiots who don’t shoot u to shine, else they explode. Fortunately for NA and EU, they are in abundance, so she can shine there. But I cba grinding ranked on my rerolls to get that steel.

Broken op ship and I keep hearing the excuse it has no armour and you cant overmatch not that any of that matters because you will sit at the back and spam HE angled targets while using your silly speed to duke salvos a typical WG op ship designed for those that have no life but wows , So in effect it will be played by veterans to farm peasants. Remember when WG said no premium ship will be better than their tech tree counterpart .

Never liked it, even had to refund it. I like JB gameplay of flanking clueless people. This way you need good conceal and mainly use front 2 turrets anyway. And JB with better conceal and faster reload is just plain better, Bourg only adds a 3rd turret which is pretty useless in this kind of gameplay. And spending 2/3 of the game sitting in one spot spamming APs at broadsides like you do in this video is pretty much the opposite of what I want.

WG loves to confuse and bewilder the player base. They release this ship and commander that’s gives a Montana equivalent specs to a kitted Bourgogne, except you have 16in guns and better accuracy, and more health. God damn it tell me why….
