Braden Smith might be the coldest white boy in the Big 10 tbh.

He deserved to be on the list.

His stats show him to be one of the best in D1. I'm OK with his being left off the list. It fuels his attitude. That attitude was something Purdue was missing last year.

It's all up from here for him. He's developed nicely and with Edey gone next year, I think he becomes him. I was even saying it last season: "Edey can win you the conference. Braden can win you a natty"

He'll be even better next season, with Edey in the NBA, Braden's role will increase even more. He's a hard working player who never seems to tire.

Never heard of him before watching highlights of the championship game--but he popped out. Fast, talented, and confident.

Answer to the title: YES!!! ABSOLUTELY!!!

Yes I agree that it is hard to be a Purdue fans. Even the announcers are anti Purdue

So the Bob C award, I mean it would be great for his resume but at the end of the day it will just fuel him more to keep doing his thing. Respectfully, he does have the it factor, I guess our definitions may be different and that's ok. I am here for the Braden train, enjoying the ride watching some great basketball! Boiler Up!

Good vid…I’m done listening to ppl who hate on Purdue. It sounds like jealousy because Purdue is always competitive if not winning. No one WANTS to play Purdue. I’m well aware of their failings but getting beat by teams that had the game of their season and still almost lost is a loss I’ll take any season. Hats off to Northwester and Nebraska AND FDU! But most teams won’t beat Purdue unless they have a near perfect game.

No, rebounds are BIG factor, on ANY team. ;) He's 6' and the 2nd leading rebounder on the team.......... Oh, then there's the bulldog factor. :) I think Zach warps peoples mind here, for sure. Wait till next year! Gonna open some eyes for sure.

On the first part of this video, now I believe he has the it factor and I would take him over any of in the country, so I believe all-around he is the best.

Time will tell when zach leaves. that's the only true measure.

who legitimately thinks 5.4 rebounds per game isn't an important stat? Teams like Illinois have made a killing off of offensive rebounds and second chance shots. More often than not a team who dominates on the rebound is going to dominate the game.

People will find any reason to poke holes in an argument. I think it's important, and impressive. But I knew some people would be telling me rebounds don't matter for a PG.

Limitless pulls, willing to bet you the voters for the Cousey award finalists didn't do any analysis as deep as yours. They watched a few games of all the players and went with their 'gut'.... the kind of gut that overhangs the beltline and belches out the kind of analysis that "Edey is only good cuz he is tall" as well.

You only made this vid because you're a Purdue fan... and have 20/20 vision, which is enough to classify the stats & summarize the eye test for me. BOILER UP!

The C award list this year is a joke without him. Everyone is saying it.
@Jlaw186535 ай бұрын
Snubbed yes. Underrated No. Every outlet that talks Purdue said he was snubbed and is a top 5 PG in the country. Sleepers brought up every point you made. I think too us Purdue fans need to stop with the everyone hates on us BS. That happens when your team is good, embrace it, who cares. When they win in March maybe it will stop maybe it won’t. Either at just sit back and enjoy the ride, it should be good for years to come too.
@limitless_pulls5 ай бұрын
I just saw someone say Gabe Cupps is better than Braden Smith 😂. Anyway, saying he is underrated just makes for a better title. And I do embrace it, watch my video about why Purdue loses in March all the time. I talk about why I love being a Purdue fan bc of our culture.
@Jlaw186535 ай бұрын
@@limitless_pulls I haven’t heard the Gabe Cupps comment, would love to roast whoever said that. He will never be on Braden’s level ever.

Why are you so sensitive? Smith is a stud and Purdue is winning the natty. See you in April.
@limitless_pulls5 ай бұрын
Wtf did you even watch the Video? I literally was singing his praises, this video is damn near a love letter to him.
@dennisdezarn58955 ай бұрын
I love that Smith has been just tossing the ball high off the backboard on drives lately just knowing that Zach is gonna be there to flush it home. He'd be closer to 8 assists a game if they counted those. You guys both love it too. Stop fighting and Boiler Up together.❤

Should likely be on the list, but he's not great on def, which I'm guessing he loses to all those guy;
@thehappyhermit015 ай бұрын
Considering there are tons of vids about him, no.
@limitless_pulls5 ай бұрын
Since youtubers dont have a vote when it comes to awards (we never will, and never should) then the amount of videos made on a guy doesn't really dictate that. It helps, but Braden Smith is still not really giving a ton of credit by people who actually have a say in awards.

I promise you when Zack edey is gone next year his stats will go down by a lot
