Thank you for sharing your experience with this flight. Gooding to the BA Lounge in the early morning looked really nice. It was not to busy at all and to have a nice breakfast meal looked nice. You made the comment about having the whole row on the aircraft and yes that was very nice. Looks like you had a great flight for the early morning. It is nice BA is coming back to being normal!!

I just noticed it's got the newer larger bins! They certainly look better! The meal reminds me of a typical hotel breakfast but glad you were satisfied.

Yes the meal is basic but the flight was actually 50 minutes and having something warm served on a tray is acceptable and better than just a biscuit!

@@MyTrips_Aviation I remember flying BA LHR-EDI economy (domestic flights were single class) pre-shuttle in the 1970's and you won't believe the breakfast. In addition to the large good quality full hot breakfast plate, freshly cooked and not dried out or stuck to the dish, there was a full plate of cold sliced ham, grapefruit segments, juice, bakery items, small glass jars of jams and honey. Dinners in the evening in the EDI-LHR direction were always nice too. It was a cold meal, always smoked salmon as a starter, then a cold plate of various meats and salad, desert, cheese and crackers, bread roll, butter. On some flights with a good tailwind and no holding I have known those tridents to do the flight in 40 minutes and the crew still managed to serve all the passengers with a meal.

I'm looking forward to being able to travel a bit when things are closer to normal, and since I haven't really had many opportunities to travel even before the pandemic, thanks to coming out of a Master's Degree in December 2019, then straight into the first Lockdown last March, I've basically been stuck at home all year. I'd definitely like to fly a few domestic routes like these, especially since I live just up the road from Heathrow in Maidenhead! Excellent video :)

USA does not currently accept visitors. The UK has the US on the amber list which means technically you can visit as of 17/5 but you must quarantine on the way back. However, we are not allowed to enter the US unless for specific reasons. I am hoping within June or July we'll be able to go there too

Great Trip report! But i have to Point out that i flew many times during Covid and BA lounges had Hot Food during then. And Club Europe was serving Sandwiches not just biscuits. 😉

True, but it was basically a bacon sandwich or a croissant. Nothing wrong with them, but you can't beat a full English! Glad they are back although BA need to get more competitive on prices.

Why is there no centre seat table ? I thought each side had two seats with a table in between in Club?

Sometimes they don’t place the centre table, but the centre seat will not be filled in club.

Every time I fly Club Europe it’s only the NEO that does not have the centre seat table all the other A319 A320 I fly on have the table

Out of interest, did they leave the divider curtain open for the entire flight? Part of the reason for closing it is to stop passengers wandering the full length of the plane.

No it was closed shortly after takeoff off and was opened again before landing

I flew Lufthansa a few weeks ago and indeed their lounges are closed. Their onboard service though is back and it was great. I have the flight published on the channel if you want to know what to expect (flight Frankfurt to Athens)

@@MyTrips_Aviation Excellent. Will check now. I am LHR-FRA-LCA so might be better than I thought. Also about 1/3 the price of BA at the moment, plus they are due to start flying to PFO, so that could be a new route for you to try!

I flew LHR-FRA-ATH. Very disappointingly even their LHR lounge was closed so from a ground service point of view it was bad. Onboard though it was good. Try the German beer :)

Boarding last ? So much for business class. Legroom is also deplorable for business class. They really aren't learning any lessons with the passage of time. Even the catering isn't fantastic, I remember the days when they offered a cooked breakfast in economy.

Galleries First. BA was allowing Club World/Europe and Silver status passengers access whilst Galleries North/South were closed

I know it's only a short flight but those seats are a joke for B/C. You can see by the empty seats that no one wants to use B/A Business class. All I can say is thank Buddha you ate in the lounge. Also hope is was very cheap.

I never fly business in europe ,, for the extra money its just not worth it . Seats are the same as economy but just marginally more legroom, food is not that expensive on board , and lets face it ,, its only for a couple of hours !. B.A. are no different to their competition but for me its just not worth the extra .

I wouldn't say that this service is »back to normal«. Before Covid-19 (some time ago, of course) they used to offer a full cooked breakfast in Club Europe on this route - also on short int'l flights. So, BA seems to be still in »ECO-MODE« saving as much money as they can. Also the dishes, the bowls, the plate and the coffee mug look so awfully ugly. Some years ago they had really nice looking fine china.
