I'm a truck driver and watch yall every Monday at around 2am cst. I was off this week n just watched this episode today. I really hope Jason reads this. When he got emotional, I cried w him. I know that feeling. I'm 42 and haven't sk8ed hard in 10 years. Work, kids, whatever, excuse are like assholes. But I know exactly what he is saying and feeling. Not many people feel that way about skateboarding. Just the real skaters! I don't personally believe all pros feel the love for skateboarding that Jason does. It never came easy for him like it does for some. I've never been close to professional level, but the feeling of skateboarding saved his life, is something I know all to well. His emotions is something you can't "act". That was real! Much love Jason. I love Hawk vs Wolf, and thank you for all you guys do for skateboarding!

After reading your book and Listening to you talk about skating I might not have made that call if I knew it would upset you. Now it doesn’t matter, you’re back at skating man. Makes me 😃 👍 I was also the guy that pretended to Be Dave Mustaine on the day you made fun of Dave Mustaine and called up to say F YOU GUYS and then hung up on you 😂 So there’s that. Glad you hit the 540 man 😃👍 The show is awesome guys 👍

Now you are in a way better situation and I look forward to binge watching all the videos on this channel. Red Dragons! 🤟

Jason new attitude toward skating is even more inspiring then ever. To hear a legit pro/legend talk about the technical aspects of trying to get back into skating is super cool. It makes it so much more relatable, a lot of times these legends come back and start skating again like not much time has passed. It's like 'riding a bike' except skateboarding is nothing like that for most of us, so to open up about the difficulties in getting back to your form is really cool to hear. Even just applying that same mentality and adjusting our form to go along with our physical abilities would help a lot of people. I think even at younger ages we self sabotage by comparing ourselves to ourselves at our 'prime' even if that prime was never very good. I know I probably do that, at least subconsciously. As soon as I get on a skateboard I want to get off because it's just embarrassing, but that attitude isn't going to get me anywhere!

Not nearly as gnarly as a 540 but I have a flat bar rail I modified recently to be less sketchy, and now I conquered my fear of doing 5-0s and nose grinds on it. I resonate with Jason so hard on that feeling of pushing through your limits!

Another great podcast! I have to say most people will never understand that feeling of pulling off a vert trick. When you are by yourself or only a handful of friends seeing you make it. The joy of finally making it after many bails/slams! I am sure the feeling is similar to a touchdown in the Super Bowl.

Im a 48 year old Aussie, A lot of the stuff you guys talked about really hit home back on my board after 20 years of only skating here and there feeling hurt each day but just turning up and skating . Being scared and average when I never was. I'm not a vert skater but always said I would never give up before I pulled a 540 this episode made me think I might just be a 52 year olde dude that 540s thanks guys. Cheers Bruce.

Ellis talking about his 540 was moving as hell, I’m 47 and I recently had a very similar experience with crooked grinds on this little bank to ledge at my local. I broke the ankle on my front foot three years ago, since then, I just haven’t had the confidence locking in on nose tricks. Battled that trick for like three sessions and when I finally got it, let’s just say I totally understand Wolf getting choked up over a skateboard trick!
