I saw a guy at our local skatepark break his arm trying to backside feeble a handrail. He got back up, went back and landed the trick. He went to a party after and didn't go to the hospital until the next day. Skateboarders and BMX riders are the toughest, most stubborn and most determined people on the planet.

Haha I rollerbladed aka ‘booted from 12-16. Was actually pretty good and had a setup at my house. Dunno if you’ve ever heard of Austin Keen (his wakeboarding trick videos go viral all the time) but he was one of my best friends and lived on the same street. He actually gave me my 1st skateboard so I got into ‘boarding as well, eventually giving up on inlining. My buddy still tries to get me to ‘boot every so often but at 34 I’m done lol.

@hawkvswolf I just received a FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) diagnosis that is a physical pain from mental health disorders. Hearing a modern doctor address the push back by patients on their diagnosis is enlightening because I thought it was only me who felt so negatively about it. I was told 5 days ago. On a psych wait-list. Until then, I'll just keep pushing through/skating. Thank you two for everything. Thank all of your team. 🙏

Skating just hits differently, it feels like it rewires your mind. I've shared for years, bmx (Street and dirt), martial arts professionally, and some others. I will say no other thing had me thinking about its sport like skating has. You go out you think about "why am I walking I could be skating" when you see a small curb, a tiny gap, etc... you think about what fun it would be to skate here. When I did my first trailwhip on my bike, or my first butterfly twist for tricking (gymnastics and flips) they didn't feel anywhere near as good as learning a new skateboard trick.

We were only allowed at very few resorts in europe for a longtime, it progressed so quickly as a sport it was such an amazing experience to be part of both skateboarding and snowboarding at that time and how they evolved. The staph / spider bite mix up comes from the brown recluse bite . Which in CA is a very thing . Father in law was bit 3 × . Twice they told him it was staph until he went back as it worsened. 3 time he TOLD them it was a recluse bite n had to bring up the words "law suit " if they didn't just give him righ meds then. Sense the bite it was on his face the last time . They did , he was fine no huge scars !!

Marto, Buzza, Ellis and me found that woodchips under our feet made us all understand trees and bark and shit. Never forget a trip. So there's more than a few days that I don't forget, at my age. FWIW, Jason isn't 50 in this, he's 51-52. Had a dream about Jason the other night - he was both a scary dude but funny as fuck. Nothing has changed.

50:19 Is an advanced version of the kind of Psychotherapy Freud used to use on his patience that repressed sexual urges. Well, the zeitgeist of the day was ultra Puritanical so people repressed natural normal urges and somatic or neurotic pain, loss of eye sight, paralysis, etc. would occur. The brain and body are very powerful and if you ignore or repress things, bad shit can/will happen.
