I am still thinking of getting into whiteout survival... I was checking my old account out, on server 730. The game told me it was 193 days since I logged in. I went to check the servers, the newest server is 1600 SOMETHING.... More than DOUBLED their servers in half a year. That game is doing SO well still... insane. Call of Dragons has been so boring. A MONTH in our home kingdom?? What the hell are we supposed to do??

Sneaky, as I told before in Discord like a year ago, the devs used this as a money grab, they made it a sandbox for whales to destroy non-whales (the restriction of movement to other zones unless you spend $324132423423434 dollars) This killed the game as most players (including the ones that paid, low to mid tier spenders)n saw this game for what it was and left. Of course a lot of die hard fans back then chose to ignore what I was saying. But most other players realized this as well and deleted the game from their phones/PCs. Their initial cash grab design is what killed the game. You've experienced it as you were there when the super whales on the server where that guy tried to make a combination of large guilds, decided to just kill everyone until they could fight no more, then switch to another zone and do the same, before people could even learn the game and build their account. This definately happened on most other servers as well, and I think one of those guys on the server that we were on was a dev account (Crazy bob or whatever his name was), to get the other whales to spend money to fight it, a LOT of those Chinese kingdom builder games have done this (Revenge Gamer found the secret interface for one of these and posted it to youtube）　In China, many gamers recognize this behavior and actually call it out call it out. Basically, the devs made their stance clear on what they made the game for. No one things they're going to change. I think you should branch out and try other games. CoD aint it.

I get the data but honestly from a game perspective, Call of dragons is so much better than Rise of Kingdoms and Whiteout Survival (So basic and just boring). There are a lot of issues but there are also other reasons, for example : Invested. Rise of kingdoms retains high player count because of people playing it for so long, investing time and money so it's hard for most of them to move of it! Anyways, I will stick to call of dragons since I played this every other similar game feels so dam boring

I’m a mild spender on the low side, usually invest real money when a new hero comes out and that’s about it so I’m still T4 and that has made me worthless in the past two alliances I’ve been in. Told I don’t participate enough, I’m not allowed to occupy a large portion of villages and I have just slightly over 3 million total troops. My hospital fills quickly, limited in the better elixir villages, and in most wars I do all I can. Despite the high amount of building time, donations, assisting and contributing in every other asset, it’s not enough. I want to quit because it’s just not fun as a T4 and the crawl to T5 if you’re not a spender.

Playing on 297 and we have not many T5, but still do pretty well nonetheless because we play as a team. There are two kind of people in this type of games, some are focused only on winning and some find fun in playing together with their online friends/ "family" even when fighting superior enemies. Those focused on winning will often leave for greener grass elsewhere or stop playing once things are no longer easy. As long as you are an active player, the issue might not be with you, but with your ally/server. It is a bit sad to see the trend of CoD becoming less popular continuing. I hope the latest changes will help to turn the trend around. One of our T5, who stopped playing initially, just came back. Hope more will follow.

MrSneaky thanks for the video. But the message is disappointing. I was thinking of buying Hosk soon, spend some more money, and awakening my Lylia. Now, I'm wondering if I should just hold off until the game improves, if it improves. Also, you mentioned the "game is dying," and you show Google trends line graphs and Chisgule's COD channel low viewer count to show the lack of interest in COD, but is the player base actually declining, are players actually quitting? Or is it just that players are not quitting but player base is stagnant, not growing, that is, no new players joining, installing uploading game? I would also like to see your follow up video on how COD can improve so the game won't die.

Devs need to develop lots of mini games that will give FTP players way to earn more free elixirs. If P2W players don't have FTP players to beat up on, this game will die.

@MrSneakyy Gaming :They allow bullying on the game servers. I received a message from a bigger Alliances demanding that i just join their Alliances I reported the person and i'm told no rules have been broken by the ingame help and on the discord Sorry for the inconvenience. We are unable to intervene in a player's personal gaming behavior. We will also report your feedback to our team to see if it is possible to add some restrictions in the future to limit such gaming behavior of players. so that could be a cause for why the game is declining

There's an inherent problem with f2p (=p2w) games. The p2w players need f2p to beat up. If f2p quit then the low spenders are the next to be beaten up. The devs need to put enough mechanics in place to make the f2p game viable. The game originally had elixir healing, which gave f2p enough reason to play. Now the Devs are phasing out elixir healing. The f2p choice is quickly becoming between rss healing whilst playing the game or hiding from KvK so that they can develop buildings, tech and troops. When you get to the stage that you can't effectively play the game then you quit.

yeah, this last season makes me just want to go to a dead kingdom to farm for 3-4 seasons to play one season. Maybe I just play 3 seasons a year (118m power currently). The game is becoming pay to play not even p2w.

@@AoupsTv Where have you been the last few seasons? Last season I took policies for the most elixir healing and reached a capacity of ~500k. The previous season it was over 1000k. Last season I spent over 300M/300M/200M/150M on healing as a t4, regretting not taking the rss policy instead. I start a new season on Friday 23rd August 2024. I won't be focusing on elixir heal any more, it isn't practical for me with 4M troops (nearly t5).

Playing (and spending) both in rok and cod. I don't think their has been enough to make this game feel different from rok on a day to day basis. Personally I think that only having 3 factions STILL leads to a lack of variety in the game. (In comparison to rok). Biggest thing I find kind of funny really in comparison, in rok free healing is not there and people fought for days while wasting resources. Here we have it and NOBODY fights. If rok adds the elixir healing route, I will jump back over in a heartbeat.

Or, a simple free to play game has convinced thousands of people to drop thousands of dollars on it. I think it comes down to how competitive you are. How much work and effort, time, money and organization. Plenty of people enjoy the game and they don’t spend a single dime other than their time.

Yeah, it's not as "Free-to-Play Friendly" as it was hyped up to be. There's only like five F2P players that just became T5 after over a year of playing and were only able to do so in that time period because they joined when game started and joined "Whale Alliances." That is not the normal experience for the average F2P player or new players joining now. All the whale alliances are in the first 200 servers, new servers are almost at 500.

Just returned to the game after a year and really wish I had just logged in for 5 mins everyday just to keep research going. I spent a few hundred to get ahead and now the average f2p is about 10m power ahead of me, also about 10m closer to T5 then me too. I would need to spend another few hundred just to catch up to everyone, and even more just to hit T5. They should make it a whole lot cheaper to get to T5 and then focus their making money on artifacts and new heroes. Because the biggest turn off for me it the T4 vs T5 fighting having most of your army in the hospital. But getting T5 shouldn't cost as much as it does if it were cheaper then more people would actually spend money on the game. Nor should it take that long to reach T5 to begin with.

I am a mid spender and agree. On a full CP bar I usually only get 10-20 arrows, insane. I will get to T5 eventually, but the arrows are a major road block and super frustrating due to the low drop rates.
