Since it’s already been mentioned by others, yeah it’s good to note every single character because even a thousand chapters later so many of them are brought back in ways that’ll surprise you. There’s so much more to look forward to.

the world building is really engrossing in one piece and it really makes you almost feel like you're living along with the characters... it's also pretty unique compared to most other anime worlds these days since each separate island is like its own nation... hope you continue enjoying your One Piece journey, it was interesting hearing your ideas or opinions on the characters from the early manga arcs ...
@Kimch872 ай бұрын
You keep speculating that some things won't be relevant after their chapter, but one of the most rewarding thing as a One Piece reader is that almost every small detail is relevant, even if it takes crazy long time for it. Without spoiling what it is, but some things established even in the first chapters is significant 500+ chapters later. On another note, this is some high quality video and I you really deserve to gain lots of subscribers. Keep up the good work! Ps. Also great that you chose to read the manga instead of watching the anime. The manga doesn't have nearly the same pacing problems that the anime have, and it doesn't even adapt most of the cover stories, some of which are super important to the plot.

9:00 To explain the “current power system” without being too complex or confusing about it… most people start at an average of “human” level. BUT… unlike our world people just have a higher ceiling. Just how we can train with weights to evenryuslly bench press 225, 315, 405 pounds etc… they can too but they go from normal humans to 405, 1000, 5000 pounds etc. Their strength and speed ceiling is just higher than ours. That’s without any special power ups or fruits or anything. Just like Zoro is a “regular” human without any fruit, but his physical strength is much greater than anyone in our actual world. Same thing with Luffy. He has a devil fruit but he CLEARLY is physically stronger than anyone in our world physically… and that isn’t something that comes from his fruit. That’s just his physical strength which he seemingly seems to have trained for at some point in his life or maybe naturally born with it. Either way yes most people in Oda’s world are inherently “normal” humans who can with training get stronger like us just at a faster pace with a much higher ceiling. Kuro for example is just a dude who trained to be really fast. It’s not too complex or something that needs much thought put into it.

Welcome aboard, have a nice ride. It’s just genuinely nice to see someone new entering the series and share their impressions. Also, I like how you’re going for some predictions, makes it more fun to stay around and watch you finding out how they turn out in the long run. I’m thrilled for more videos like this one, keep it up

This video seems insanely well-scripted, well-directed, well-drawn, well-edited and well-articulated. Plus, One Piece. Subbed!

Great animation, a small suggestion keep consistent upload even if it doesn't work at first it will eventually. All the best for ahead, 'X'

Yeahh you're so right, I did hold onto this video for a short while so I could progress on my Alabasta video because these take so long to make, I might make them a bit shorter in the future so as you mention I can upload more consistently, and thanks!!

reading the manga is definitely the quickest way to catch up especially if ur not gonna go through the one pace fan recommendations on what anime eps to watch and which to skip. however i highly recommend to watch the arcs/fights/moments when u pass them in the manga to get to full effects. u know the music, the fighting, the voice acting...u get soo much emotions from those.

I got spoiled at the start of Saboady in the most random way. For some reason, I wanted to know what other voices Nami's seiyuu has worked on before, so I googled it and.... FOR SOME UNKNOWN FREAKING REASON there's a 3d2y movie of one piece called something like 3D2Y: Luffy overcoming Ace's death.... And yes, Nami's seiyuu has worked on that movie.... My face was like 🗿? WHY? WHYY?

@@DeepoyTHISS. recently whenever I recommend one piece to people I NEED to put it out there that, instead of getting the legendary awaited ending of one piece as a non fan, why not embrace the joy with all the other fans when you share the same enthusiasm for the show? being caught up to one piece and then seeing the ending for yourself would be SO much more rewarding than if you’ve been putting it off for so long that you’re too late

Yeah I had this spoilt for me too, it sucked :') at the very least, the way his death happened was actually quite surprising so there was a little bit of shock value

Like your top 5's. Ussop is a character to many like to hate on... at least its a loud group if nothing else. I like him a lot but agree that his cowardice can be tough to stomach some times. But the fact he always has that handicap makes me appreciate his victories more. Cannot wait to see more. I do suggest you look up chapter counts for sections ahead of time. Some are over 200 chapters long so you might need to treat those longer parts different based off what your comfy with doing.
@Deepoy2 ай бұрын
Yes! You can't be brave unless you're afraid! Ussop's already the bravest! Haha. And yeah I have the sagas and arcs from the One Piece wiki on hand, kinda spoils the names of the arcs but I find it more beneficial than a negative, plus I've heard a lot of the names already tbh
@meaburro42072 ай бұрын
I finished Alabasta and so far Ussop's cowardice hasn't bothered me. I find his antics hilarious and very intelligent and creative. He's so unique, entertaining and useful. Fighting just isn't one of his main strengths, so of course he's gonna try to avoid it if possible. He still delivers when necessary and keeps fighting no matter how much he gets hurt. He's one of my favorites.

I dunno, I think the power of the anime is underrated and underestimated by manga purists. Scenes that you can just breeze past in the manga will hit like a fucking high speed train when you let moments breathe and feel the music, the voice acting, and really understand and internalize things instead of just being aware of them. I've been an OP manga and anime follower since 2002. I've noticed there's definitely a level of emotional distancing and compartmentalization that happens when I'm reading the manga, but when I revisit certain scenes when the anime episode drops it hits harder. I've re-consumed the series multiple times, and every time I catch up I go back and watch filler. Because the end is on the horizon, and I want more time with the Strawhats, I want more goofy shenanigans. So my advice is, don't be in a hurry to finish. That would be a mistake. There's so many hidden details and background jokes, and pay attention to the chapter covers because when they're not art prompts, they're showing characters we've met before and what they're up to. And remember that this is a Comical Fantasy Adventure with a big dash of Mystery, not a Battle Shonen, no matter what a sizeable chunk of the fanbase thinks. The meat and potatoes are in the characters and the story, the fights are the seasoning. Edit: I keep adding to my advice paragraph like a worried mum lol 😅

As a Manga reader yes the Anime has really really good moments exspecily since wano. But after the timeskip the pacing and filler just get horrendious. i was watching and reading since Water Seven actively and stoped with the anime mid deressrossa because it was unbareable. I just watched cool moments i knew would come but not every episode

Imma be so fr with you king, Ace dying is not significant. Not to get all corny but in a weird poetic way, it's the impact of his death and the connection of he made with others that was significant so as long as you aren't spoiled on how he lived then getting spoiled about his death really doesn't change much

I loved the video and how you explain everything. 10/10 Starting the manga (and in color) is the best decision you can make I think. Lastly, from my perspective, I love One Piece with every bit of my soul, because it is the only story that has managed to make me feel that I am the one who is on an adventure, and I just want to see how this wonderful journey continues. Also, it is mindblowing how they tell you a detail, you forget it, and 800 chapters later it serves to give way to another part of the story (I'm not joking, every detail counts).
