💯 I've moved on, I've moved on since last year too. I play way more r6s now(I love it) and I still keep tabs on cod and voice my opinions. I even waited to buy bo6 on Black Friday sales and I still hate it. It sucks on a fundamental level. I think a lot of people are just fed up. I lost all hope in multiplayer, but had a little hope for zombies. What little hope I had for zombies was squashed when I saw they brought back armor and other mechanics in BO6. WAW-BO3 will always be peak zombies.

@@sgman173 zombies used to be a completely separate game mode with creative choices that detached it from others. Now, the game is more similar to multiplayer/warzone than ever. Something that has brought me a bit of clarity is recognizing that this isn’t the same Treyarch that made WAW-BO3. They have a completely new vision for the game mode now and would rather treat it like a cash cow/cater to the war zone/casual audience, than reserve it as a passion project for the hardcore audience. I’m not sure if you have played the older games, but the differences between the old and the new are night and day.

There is such a huge disconnect between the publishers and the community. The publishers want us to buy their bundles for a game they haven't committed enough content into. Content and quality of life updates should come FIRST, and then cosmetics should come later. When you do the opposite, you make your game look like a cash grab real quick.

Game is literally designed to sell $20 plus bundles rather than being fun to play. Damn shame because the Omni movement with better maps and hit registration and we would have had ourselves something decent. Season 1 isn’t over and I’m already playing other stuff been playing cod since MW2 2009. This is still a better game than ghosts, vanguard, and MW 22 but this current model isn’t sustainable and more players will leave if things don’t change soon

I’m a MP COD person, and mainly TDM (PS5). I think BO6 is a great game, and I usually prefer Infinity Ward COD’s, definitely not a Treyarch fanboy. (Happy to say I am a COD fanboy though). However the main issue I have - and it’s a huge one - is the server connectivity or hit reg or lag. I’m no expert so I don’t know what it is, but it changes from game to game, and often from minute to minute inside a single game. Far too often it takes me 12-16 bullets to kill, whereas I’m dead on “hearing/feeling” the second bullet from an enemy (although the kill cam shows differently). I have good internet. Maps: fine to me Cheaters: don’t see any bad ones on PS5 TDM Having to pay for the game and then selling £20 bundles: doesn’t bother me in the slightest. It costs Activision A LOT of money to develop an annual game, so I’m ok buying it at current price. Bundles are discretionary. Buy them if you want, I choose not to for various reasons. Oh, and the battle pass does pay for itself TDawg. I bought the first one in MW19 and haven’t paid for one since.

One relatively active creator even participated in a 2021 debate, exposing issues like engagement-optimized matchmaking (EOMM), slot-machine-style algorithms, and hidden server-side systems. These "COD shills" are a big reason why this franchise managed to stay afloat for so long despite its declining quality. the thing is, COD has been hated on big a huge percent of the playerbase since around 2013. i think it's just harder for the average casual player that buys the game every year to play for a couple hours a week with his buddies, to get an idea for how ESPECIALLY bad it is this year. i'm sure all the casuals are seeing is just another game with some new movement tech and shitty AI "art" unlockables. if the community can take these less obvious problems on a mainstream level (which i think is starting to happen, what with the articles about BO6 losing half it's playerbase in 3 months) THEN you'll start to see some change.

Even though Im not currently playing BO6 I loved the game when I was playing it. Hit Master prestige with dark matter and when it came to playing the game normally I just lost all motivation to play. SBMM and just the game being literally in pieces made me drop the game. 5:16 disagree. Bo6 is a bad game. Warzone is dead. Zombies is still warzone zombies with half-baked maps, way too short setup quests and main quests, warzone HUD, horrible linear mechanics that greatly hinder replayability, nobody cares about the crew, 90% of side quests are lame, 14 hit down on round 1 with no perk limit. The mode has no soul and no replayability. Boss fights are decent that’s about it. If Treyarch makes a boss rush mode like IW did that’s the only reason I would return to this game in the future. Even if a good map comes out because of the mechanics and insane short setup quests, the gameplay loop is not replayable or enjoyable. Went back to bo3 weeks ago. And MP only is enjoyable for people who like brain rot shipment 24/7. The maps are absolute trash so small and hectic, the guns are all lame no good iron sight ARs and there’s just not enough of them, no pick 10 means there’s grenades and stuns constantly, the perks are very unbalanced, mini map is small, streaks get taken down so fast, no looping streaks, voice chat bans, unicorns running around, trash servers, bugs everywhere dead silence still doesn’t work in S&D and can’t even get match bonus, hackers galore. Omnimovement is good, but TACsprint shouldn’t exist with it. I believe TDawg enjoys the movement which is fair I think Omnimovement is good, but the rest of the MP is trash. Bo6 is not a good game. Besides Omnimovement, progression, and decent boss fights bo6 has brought nothing new, innovative, or good to the franchise. 4 years for this game, it 100% deserves the hate it’s getting. They had all the time in the world to make it.

@ they definitely play Chop is prestige master and TDawg doesn’t prestige lol. But they are choosing to ignore/hide themselves from the large negative sentiment and issues of bo6. They mention “there are issues but” like they glaze over that statement. This does not help the community get better games at all. The creators/platforms that point out the issues are the ones that can help make a change if enough people do the same. So Chop and T wishing the creators to stop making negative content is not what the community needs. Completely agree with Tdawg when he discussed about making cod free to play with the service model the game clearly wants to be it only makes sense. for me it comes across insulting when you have to pay full price and then on top of that get half a battle pass for the same price as a full battle pass in Fortnite and activation have progressively gotten worse overtime in MW2019 there was just one version of the battle pass and enough cod points to renew the battle pass each season I think a big portion of the player base has caught on and are fed up of being taken advantage of it’s a shame when there’s an actual good game there this year.

All of my friends and I have gone back to play MWIII. I find BO6 search and destroy to be abysmal and can't really stand to play respawn modes. Warzone is possibly at the worst low we've ever had, even lower than the OG season five hack fest and the Caldera Christmas dumpsterfire. Zombies has been the only thing I log onto the game to play consistently. Even that, Activision is screwing up by not rectifying the situation with the voice actors. I'll play the new map, I even hope it's a banger, but the soulless replacement of beloved characters will be all people remember from this game if they don't course correct. All in all, I don't necessarily think any of these issues are directly tied to lack of support from Treyarch/Raven but rather are the consequences of decisions made and pennies pinched by Activision and Microsoft executives.

@ryanclute1377 Even small stuff in S&D like having to pull up the leader board to see how many people are left alive is a massive step backwards compared to the last 3 titles which had that feature built into the hud. I think there are maybe 2 maps that search plays well. Most of the maps in the game are small maps meant to replicate that Shipment 24/7 rapid spawn death simulator.

50:00 you should bring Xclusiveace on also my take on what's happening to call of duty is that CoD is suffering from the problems it's had since MW2019. Cheating, frustrating matchmaking, inconsistent netcode, shadowbans, and silence from the devs. The difference with BO6 is that it's actually a really good game. so you have a lot of old players, new players, and game pass players enjoying CoD but still really frustrated with the core issues and that's why we're seeing an explosion of negativity

Call of duty is never going to go anywhere Activision pays the streamers and KZbinrs to play their game so nothing is going to change next year though for me it's going to be different cuz I'm not buying the next cod I'm done which sucks in zombies is not as good it won't never be as good cuz they have to make a call every year meaning that the game will never change and it's always going to be garbage they just care about your wallet but

I know it sucks to see constantly negative opinions on a game or franchise you like, but as you said, ur mostly playing older COD titles. The new ones either have a bunch of bad stuff or feel soulless and unrefined, while the only problem with the older ones is that they're not well supported, if at all, but everything else within the game is better. COD 4 MW till i wanna say around BO3 were the best all around games, with the occasional 'flop', but after BO4 and cold war the games just felt like they started going downhill. Even if you don't see the negative press on social media, you may experience on your own just playing. For example why do i have to constantly experience glitched stuff in BO6? Why do i have to download community made patches to be able to play older titles? The people who are complaining so much instead of "trying something else" do it because they want to love the game.

As a fan of COD since COD4 and a fan of you both, I agree with the discretions of going the negative bashing route. BO6 mechanically is a good game. They can update it with better maps and get all the bugs out. On the other hand, the micro transactions are totally out of hand. All in all, great episode guys 👍🏽

@@ryanclute1377standards are pretty high being a fan for almost 18 years. I’ve played all CODs except COD 1-3. We can all agree that MECHANICALLY (Omnimovement, gunplay, etc.) BO6 is good. The hitreg, packet bursts, outdated servers, over-the-top skins and the worst launch maps of all time brings BO6 way down. Out of all the Black Ops games including WAW, BO6 is like #6 (Tied with BO4 at the bottom of the series). BO6 is not Treyarch’s best work at all. Only the innovation of Omnimovement is Treyarch-like.

So over the COD hate. Maybe it’s cause I’m in the zombies community I can ignore it better, but I’ve actually stopped following some channels based on trying to get rid of the bad vibes. Let’s just understand: Cali is on fire where a good portion of the devs are (prayers for the families), the devs had vacation, people are human and make mistakes, bugs have always been in the games, and skill based damage isn’t real. as a fan of this podcast I really dont like where its at and heading and the last 2 episodes. Can we get back to talking about Call of Duty 6, like the game. I don't care about twitter, I don't care about dark souls that's not why i follow you. Saying "im having a good time on multiplayer" is not worth a listen. Why are you having a good time? what game modes are you playing , what weapons are you using? Why not go into classes your running, camo goals you have, some of the new weapon drops, you know - actually discuss the game. Maybe discuss what your kdr looks like? I think this is one of the best cod multiplayers thats ever come out. Futher more your now creating whole episodes about how people monitize hate and making things look bad, well you guys just did it to me for an hour. I will listen one more week and see if my opinion changes, if not im out. Almost want to start my own pod to cover the crazy gaps your missing. There has been so much that changed in the game since you last posted and all you talked about was squid game for like 10 seconds. first youtube review ever, couldnt hold it in. cmon guys lets get back to the game. Give us a solid zombies segment and a solid multiplayer seg. Let me fill you and anyone else who doesn't know yet in. Ricochet wasn't enabled at a kernal level for Black Ops 6 and for Warzone 4. Why?? Because Both of these games were developed on an older version of the engine and the developers didnt have the time to implement it. Jeesus, a ranked dev was on another podcast. You two seriously need to study what you're talking about.
