I think chapter 2 is close because they did this mini devblog, meaning they didn't have enough time between now and chapter 2's release to make a normal sized devblog.

when you started playing 7 years ago and in the first 2 years you convinced 10 people to play, the next 2 years you convinced 10 more people to play then you hear about chapter 2 and you put the game aside for 3 years urself, hoping that atleast 5 of the people you played it with will be interested again. Its been soo long now and i just dont understand why they wouldnt just start with chapter 2 last year, THEN add in some new bots and new items etc... why everything at once, ur killing ur own fanbase off with this.

On December 22nd Axolot confirmed on twitter that it will be releasing in 2024, and apologized that they couldn't make the release in 2023 like they had hoped..

I have over 3000 hours on this game. I’ve been here since the start, and I’m frankly tired of waiting on updates. The game will never run smoothly, they use a home-built engine that can barely handle multi-threading. I really hate to say I’ve lost all hope in Axolot. They could’ve been great, but they aren’t.
