Professor Mahbubani, please could you explain the "Rules Based Order" as no one except the US knows what they really are.
@johnli678220 күн бұрын
in speaking about ruelse based order and tying it with the WTO, he's referring to internationally recognized rules, such as those established under the auspices of the UN. The US is doing its best to proclaim the definition of Rules Based order for itself. It's an information war at its most basic level, redefining the meaning of words. If the US is permitted to redefine the meaning of all the good sounding words and associate them psychologically with the US, it will easily win the information war. However, if we could refuse and refute the US's attempts to associate itself with all of the good sounding words, such as liberty, justice, and prosperity, the American way (ie, liberty, justice, and prosperity are not virtues and achievements exclusive to the US), then we will have done a great service to humanity. Virtue and moral dignity are common to humanity and not endowed just to any particular race or nation.

People who don't know Chinese culture of thousands of years will never understand Chinese version of capitalism. China will never ever allow unbridled capitalism to happen. Chinese capitalism is more like socialist authoritarian capitalism. this is nothing new, it has been so since ancient times. this is what make China a stable monolithic block of different peoples all this time. the answer to really understand why the Chinese can accept this is found in their cultural text and beliefs. that is why what is happening cannot be duplicated anywhere else except in those countries who has similar culture which came from China in the first place. unfortunately, those other countries could not retain these strengths because they are too small and was too easily colonized and brainwashed and lose their unique strength. Chinese Culture has never been free completely. there is this all-encompassing phase that anyone who called themselves Chinese will acknowledge and practice no matter where they are in the world, the phase is (direct translation) " a home has home law (house rules), and a country has country laws (laws of the nation)." that is why Chinese migrants are considered the most meek and lawful. it is in their DNA. it is also in their DNA to rebel if this phase is broken as many bad authorities in China found out when they persist in not following it. so, any monopolistic situation is not allowed in China, no one including the emperor is above the law.

Kishore is so wrong , for past 5 years he keeps saying how china econmy is still doing great🙄 . Recently, he is becoming less convincing 😅😅😅 and he doubts his own words. He loves the money from chinese forums 😅😅 he talks politics but his real world economics knowledge is O. He talks about history because anyone can regurgitate historical facts. His predictions are so INNACURATE

Er......China is doing bad only in the minds of people that listen MSM. I visited China 3 times in the past 18 months- the Chinese economy is doing fine.
