The other day I randomly looked at my email, DLT trading had sent an alert email the tanto magnacut umnumzaan was back in stock....I thought surely it was already out of stock...it was not and I had points. I got the last or only one they had. Set alerts and you will eventually get one.

YES! I have a thumb injury from years ago - ironically from cutting it on a meat slicer. The Chris Reeve knives are the MOST difficult to open for me. I really don't like a thumb stud to open a knife. Give me a flipper any day. Thanks for stating what nobody else has mentioned!

I got a wilson combat star tac zaan and it’s by far my favorite knife in my collection. The heart breaker though was I was hit while riding my motorcycle carrying it and it got a little bit of damage but I am send it in to get the spa treatment today. Will be keeping a eye out for a tanto zaan to purchase soon hopefully.

I was 2 weeks into owning my Zaan and almost decided to sell it because of how rough the milling on the frame treats a thumb. However once i got used to it its become my personal all time favorite. In my review of it, I had to mention that. Its not meant to be a fidget toy and it was hard to make that differentiation. My first "High end" Titanium framelock was a Chaves Redencion 229 full size. The actions are night and day and I expected the Zaan to be like it. Since then Ive been able to to a head to head with the Zaan vs the Arius and it turns out for the things i need in a knife, the Zaan wins out. great insights Brandon!

I appreciate this video. As someone who had many opportunities to snag one (lefty) I waited too long and before you knew it, chris reeve Knives blew up because of social media, the pandemic hit, the company was upgrading and expanding and NOW there’s almost a 4-6 yr wait for production. Even when online retailers get them in stock, the elusive lefty is nowhere to be seen. That being said, waiting knife enthusiasts on youtube all agree that the Zaan is a piece that does it all and looks good at it. Waiting for the day I can snag one.

Great video. I have an issue paying over $300 for any knife, but the ZAAN or any CRK is the only one I'm willing to break the bank for and it would be the last. I see any CRK as a knife you can use, collect and pass down to someone special. I missed out on the HOB drop but I'm still on the hunt.

I love my Zaan! The glass breaker isn’t entirely useless, since you can use your thumb to push it and break the detent while opening the knife. It takes a little practice but it works well once you get it down.

My only issue with it has been opening it 2 handed when I'm trying to open it without freaking people out I live in Australia so most people are a bit soft and squishy about carrying a knife...

Don’t be shy you should talk about money and the financial. This is a free knife. Explain it to newbies. They buy it for 500 use it and sell it for 500. Worst case they buy it for 500. Use it for a year two years and sell it for $475. Essentially they get to own a Chris Reeve for free because it’s like a Rolex Daytona

My zaan is probably my least liked of my CRK's. After a few flips, i put back in box and there it sits in the safe. Mine is a Tanto in S45VN. I'm surprised you didn't mention the lockbar eating your finger disengaging. If someone is looking for a Zaan, I'm your man with the goods, hit me up on IG...lol

Zaan is an awesome looking piece - but it's uncomfortable as hell. Hot spots all over. The clip especially. Pocket killer. Prefer the Inkosi much better.

no knife is worth 4000% more than it cost 250-3 maybe ur not paying for the actual knife your paying for the hype amd the name i can see making a profit but being greedy is cutting out so many more people that could and probably would use your knives if he lowered them by even 100$ he not using any crazy rear materials it's rediclous and not to say but i have a clone sabenza and the real one broke and the clone one is still working great and for that price custom service should be great there customer support is a nightmare and trash took me over 3 months to get my knife back for a thumb stud thats insane i'll never buy this brand ever again it's all a hype

Why shouldn't that be the case? I have also had numerous and more expensive knives. You only really learn to appreciate CRK when you know many comparisons. The knives are simple and uncomplicated but extremely suitable for everyday use. Even after 10 years you are still happy! They are also timeless.
