I am not calling you out, but using your comment as an example to prove a point. I take exception to the phrase “literally debate” Not for what you might expect for using the phrase literally, but the word debate. I took debate in high school and college. And we have all seen multiple examples of debate in various sitcoms and comedy movies. There is a process and a set of rules on how a debate is conducted. The participants are judge on adherence to those rules, not on being convinced by the speaker’s position. Damn near all of the people who come up to debate him ignore these rules to an obnoxious degree or have a visceral reaction to his comments and responses that FOLLOW these rules

And how expensive your college is, in my country there is schollarship, if u dont earn that then pay it, but not by debt, he working, earning money.. If not just take classes.. I don’t have a degree. With the way society thinks as a majority, it has been a hard road. Even getting an interview is the hard part. Once people meet me, I typically get hired. But, when everything is decided by keyword or algorithms, it isn’t the best and the brightest being picked.

Don't list a degree. Many colleges have free, online classes in a variety of things. Say, quite truthfully, that you studied Computer Science at Harvard (an example). Since their entire course is online and free to access, you are telling the truth. As long as you do not say you GRADUATED from said institution, it will get you around those algorithms so you can speak to an actual person who will make the determination on if you can do the work. If, after you are hired, they want you to get a degree, most larger companies will have either support or even grants/programs that share or pay outright for it.

I was taught how to groom dogs at 16. It was a high school job, but I seemed to do it well and picked up on it quickly. I had always wanted to be a veterinarian (expensive schooling needed). I did mobile grooming instead. It wasn't my passion at 16, but it is now. I didn't put all my eggs into one basket. I learned how to run an affordable mobile business, perform minor repairs, and learned practical skills and knowledge. I started my own when I moved out of my home state. Town I lived in didn't have one, so I became theirs. No college needed. My sister is starting her own hair/beauty salon in Texas after watching hours of beauty tutorials, years of practice on herself and others (which people now pay her for), and she tutored under someone to learn how to work with different hair styles so she can offer a wide range of hair care to different people. You find something you're passionate or good in, even if it's not your *"dream job"* and run with it. But it's hard, these people are really, really soft, and that's where they're going to struggle.

More vids like these need to be uploaded. The others can be entertaining, but these can change the narrative and change how people act for attention. This guy got Kirk's full attention and a positive impression. That's what is needed. Truth told, truth listened to and heard. Respect given between 2 people.

When I was younger I was working as receptionist at a law firm. One of the paralegals advised me, “what ever you’re good at, perfect it and find a way to make money”. I’m very organize person and now I make over 100k as a project coordinator for a trade. Best advice I got. I also have property I rent it which pays my mortgage. I don’t have any college degree but what I do have is experience.

As someone who sucks at communicating this is so true. Doesn’t really matter how hard you work, what really matters is can you get others to work and can you get money out of people from speaking to them.

I always hated speaking, but I have always had a natural ability to communicate well. In debate, in argument, in presentations, I hated it but I always did well. When I was passionate about something, I loved talking about it. I didn’t think it was something that’s make me a lot of money. Instead I poured all my resources into software development. Both turned out to be great because I get to speak about software and technology and I absolutely love it. It also pays extremely well!

Why is college so expensive in America that you have to be in debt? I don't understand!
@master-oppressor

Well, how much does it cost to operate a college or university in your country? Compare college to a manufacturer, where the goods you make are educated students. You have costs you have to make every month, like electricity, employees, staff, professors, insurance, etc. In order to pay those bills you must have x-amount of students. But you can only have so many students per yr. So in order to stay in business, you take your total costs of running your college or university and divide it by how many total students you have each yr. There ya go.

This young man actually ask a question then listened to what Charlie had to say instead of talking over him with stupid illiterate comments. Charlie gave him excellent advise. I went to a trade school and immediately got placed in a job by a placement councilor within a week. I worked the job for 20 years. I advanced far faster than most everyone in the huge corporation that had college degrees including many with a Masters. I had the necessary skill for the exact job I was trained for the day I walked in. Many with degrees took a extended amount of time learning what I already knew because they had some irrelevant foo foo degree. Use this young man as a good example. He ask , then he listened. Fact. If you’re talking you’re not listening. It’s important to know when to keep your mouth closed. Coming out of college with a wise mouth attitude will not impress your employer.
