Onboard Lockers work now in the PTU. Supposedly 5 SCU of onboard Cargo split between the 5 Lockers! :) Love the Taurus.. This is the single Player Polaris! If they take that away from us... We will REVOLT! :) Stand Strong Taurus Brothers!

​​​@@BattleChickenYTif the conny stays at is with 4s5 guns linked to the pilot and its 2s3 guns on top for a copilot it with the option to put a dude on a third seat for missile command and another for power and shield management it wont go obsolete anytine soon ... but maybe we get a MK5 ? Remember its a decommisioned gunship made available for the public so maybe there is a replacement

@@Warsheep2k6 I think it's keeping the 4xS5 guns. Paladin was just announced at a similar pledge point, and it has a larger gun loadout. Connie owners should be okay.

Yeah it came in with 4.0! So glad they made that happen. I didn't know the change was coming when I recorded this video so it was a nice surprise when 4.0 dropped

while im not sure where you've heard the rumors from as I haven't seen those ones, the ones I've seen were the removal of "manned": turrets inplace of remote turrets, and removing that middle section behind the pilot seats, and having each seat to the side of the pilot becoming remote turret seats, and one of them obviously being the tractor beam now the confirmed part from CIG, was that the Constellations were going to be getting an interior pass, so imagine the Polaris or the Zeus interiors, scaled to the Connies. I've seen nothing mentioned about updating the firepower of the ship, or changing it. There's also the premise that they only recently made it so the connies are all size 5s, so I don't see them changing the pilot guns anytime soon.

I really hope you're right about the rumour. I heard it from 2 separate people who have no connection to eachother, but I do hope they're incorrect. If the interior pass is done to the standard of the zeus then I will be very very happy with the Connies! Remote turrets would be excellent as well for sure

@@BattleChickenYT as much as CIG loves to hit things with the nerf stick, I just dont see it happening to the connies after they only recently got the size 5 increase after being primarily size 4 for SO long lol. I'm very excited at the interior pass though, can't wait to see what they're cookin for it. imagine just a bigger zeus interior? omg I'd be so happy lol and finally removing that stupid middle section so the co-pilot seats dont feel so useless lmao. interior updates were the only thing confirmed though, so who knows what we've actually got in store

@kobrraful a Connie with the zeus level of interior would probably mean I'd never take another ship out! While I'm not a phoenix owner, if they bring the front interior in line with the rear I could be seriously tempted as a mobile home location!

I got in to the habit of getting a 1 scu box and shoving it in the shielded cargo area with food and ammo etc. For extended trips. But yeah at the moment it's does feel wasted

Agree, who needs an E1/Starliner if you have a Phoenix....you dont. Phoenix has the best seated/window views of any ship incl that eyesore the 890.

*If* they nerf the guns, they better increase the cargo grid by 1.5x or 2x, and make the internal layout make some sense. If it excels at cargo (for its size), it's not a "nerf" but rather a "specialization". I woudn't mind that too much, but many would. The Connie is simply one of the go-to multirole ships, and it would lose that multirole. And I honestly wouldn't know which ship in its size bracket for 1-3 players would then qualify as the premier multi-crew multi-role ship, that is still soloable.

I have the starlancer as well. I think it might be a bit too big though as i fly with at most 2 other and thats not very often. Lets see what i feel when it drops. I would also love a rework of the Freelancers

They dropped the update early so had a fly around on the starlancer today. Other than it being slow it's actually not bad at all coming from the connie. I definitely want to sway the cannons out for repeaters though!

They added storage. Love the Taurus but going with the Andromita since the turrets for all Connie’s got buffed and more hull Hp at the cost of cargo. Also for combat I’ll bring a Anvil Paladin If only it could carry some cargo 😢

The andromeda with both turrets manned is a force to be reckoned with! Nice to see the storage finally working! The paladin looks amazing but I rarely do pure combat ships so probably not one for me long term sadly 😞

Yeah I know it's just how the footage kinda fell on the voice over. I spent longer talking about the lockers than I thought and didn't have enough footage of them to only be messing with the lockers during it. I kinda fit the shower and toilet in there to highlight the unfinished nature of the interior. I noted it down in my own feedback of the video too for the next review. Thanks for the comment

Wish YT had a DM feature where I could send you some ideas for your next video. This was a good one, but I have some tips I think you'd do well with. I don't know if you pre-write you script before putting it over the video, or just going at it all in one take. If you don't pre-write I'd suggest it! Then maybe find some alternatives for words you use often, like "as well." Ideas include, "in addition to, furthermore, moreover, together with, along with" etc. It will help the flow of your video. The information was great! As a taurus pilot its one of my favorite ships. Hope to see it get a gold pass soon. Thanks for the video!

Thank you for the feedback! I did pre-write the script but I think where I went wrong is deviating from it in an attempt to make it sound more natural. The recordings where I read from the script sounded a bit wooden. However maybe there's a way to get the best if both worlds. It's my first attempt at a real voice over and trying not to cringe throughout it was hard 😅 Definitely something I'll figure out and appreciate the feedback for sure thank you!

It’s a significant design change for the sake of balance, and makes the players who pledged for it feel like they’re no longer utilizing the ship the way it was originally intended. CIG should have delivered the ship with the lower guns being operated by the co pilot in the first place and the drama surrounding it could have been avoided.

The andromeda is still a solid choice! Especially if you have 2 friends in with you for both turrets. If you're regretting the choice you can melt the andromeda if you bought the pledge?

I fell in love with the Valkyrie last year, and since then she has been my solo medium daily driver, supplanting the C1 as my favorite ship for that space. Other than that, my NEWEST love is the Polaris, HOLY CRAP am I happy to have her! Flew her on her maiden voyage and was overjoyed at how perfect the experience was even with multiple servers crashing around me and Save Stanton being borked beyond heck the whole night! Lastly, my most flown and thus official Favorite is the Scorpius. She flies like a dream, and has all the necessary sting. She can hold a friend, is powerful while soloing, and with tons of onboard storage and a double size gun and utility rack thanks to being built to support Pilot and Gunner as an escort fighter, she makes a SHOCKINGLY good daily driver for a dedicated fighter! Love my RSI flavored X-Wing/Starfury

@nino_brawl2782 gold pass is basically an update of the ship where they go through and fix bugs and make things like the opening lockers you can't use functional, for example. This happens mostly on the older ships like the constellations, but don't happen often.

Agree! As a majority solo player, once my Taurus is nerfed, I believe I will downgrade to the humble Nomad. Maybe have a look at this one too in the context of solo play? Oft overlooked, the Nomad happens to be the only ship that you can load the cargo bay with a tractor beam from the pilot seat. 3 size 3 guns, 3! size 1 shieds. Hab. Gun rack. Can carry a Cyclone or a Roc. But unfortunately... a little ugly imo. And doesn't have the greatest range.

I think the Zeus CL would be the more appropriate “downgrade”. I changed my Aquila for a Zeus ES and frankly except for the size, specs and a hit on the vehicle carry it’s what the connie should be. I love it and it’s now my official home in the stars. It’s amazing how the Zeus uses its space so much better that it feels more complete and like a real vessel than the larger Connie. If they redesign the connie to be a ‘Super Zeus’ in a similar way that they did the Starlancer as a ‘Super Freelancer’ it will be maybe the best multicrew ship in the game again.

@@BattleChickenYT Dont get me wrong, as PDT's develop, AI blades slowly get intoduced, hopefully sometime after 4.0, and taking on a couple of all rounded players, you could easily captain a Polaris/Perseus or Reclaimer properly. Never much bothered with CitizenCON in the past, yet this years was damm exciting, it all needs a to be taken in contex, yet from a currently solo player, im certainly up for a change to group/org gameplay. Ive melted my fleet completely, now have $5000+ Store credit, a Zeus ES/Aurora all referrals reversed, and am loving the game. Damm im so excited for the future, cant wait to do that 1st jump to Pyro. Enjoy IAE

Just yesterday I typed in global chat that this is the number one best all around ship for the solo player. Edit: I do believe this ship will inherit some balancing changes like the pilot guns being reduced to size 4’s.

The only ship that they have not nerfed into the ground so far, because its chris robberts favorite ship. Definitely the best allrounder and daily driver. Has only strengths and no real weaknesses. Does everything better than all other ships in this class and all competitors. Thats the balancing of Star Citizen. The drake corsair is slower, has less cargo, much less HP, is less manouverable, has less missles, has no tractor beam and the only thing that it had that was more pilot guns. So they nerfed it. Now its 100% worse in every aspect compared to the taurus that even costs much less. This is probably the only ship you should ever buy in Star Citizen because its chris robberts favorite, they wont nerf it most likely. But it absolutely should have it guns nerfed. as a cargo ship it should not have the most firepower in this size class, even ships one size higher have less.
