Everyone has their own preference when it comes to buying silver. But there’s one silver that a majority of us enjoy together and yes I’m talking about constitutional silver.
Disclaimer- I am not a financial advisor, I’m just a guy passionate about gold, silver and numismatics, please do not make any purchases or sales based on my videos. What I say in this video is just my opinion.

I love it for it’s nostalgic value. It was the currency of my childhood. Many comic books, baseball cards, grape Nehi sodas etc. we’re bought with this coinage. The comic books and baseball cards are long gone and now I wish I had saved the coins instead of spending them. Every time I hold them, the memories come flooding back.

I'm a fan of Roosevelt dimes. They're the newest so they are generally less worn and have the most silver content..and since you usually buy it at a face value price it makes more sense for me. For bartering I think that is more ideal. Plus, theyre convenient to use for bartering since they are by their very nature "fractional".

A you tube coin shop told me that if they get way to much 90 percent silver that they send it off to the refinery to have it melted. Once it’s melted, history has been deleted and it’s gone forever. In my opinion they should try to sell it to another shop who does not have much of it. I’m sure the government wants to see all that silver melted so they can make more non silver coins with little value to them.

The beauty of it to me is you can spend just a few bucks and walk out with something. I pick up a couple half dollars every Friday as a celebration of surviving another week in the rat race. With the way the cost of silver is going right now that is considerably less expensive than buying a silver eagle or a 1 ounce bar or a round.

I love constitutional silver:D It's the only silver that i buy now. And in the event of a government confiscation, silver bullion is open game but constitutional isn't. I try to stick with later dates, such as 1960 to 1964 for quarters, halves, and dimes as these typically have less wear and thus closer to the as minted weight than the older series. For Morgans and Peace dollars, i get what ever i can. Nothing like the sound of silver coins ringing as opposed to the clunking of real junk clad! I still go for the graded standing liberty quarters as they are one of the most beautiful US coins ever minted (just my opinion).

Given all of the various scenarios, the most important of which being utility and inherent numismatic value, I think Constitutional or Junk Silver is likely the best overall value for your money. I think ASEs run a close second, but it is because of its utility and inherent numismatic value that I've made 90% Constitutional Silver the foundation of my Silver stack. I do buy Constitutional Silver, in part, for the prepping or possible future barter currency it could be, though I don't necessarily think that's a highly likely scenario. I simply follow the old adage that it's better to have and not need than to need and not have. It's similar to the admonition that I'm sure you picked up in the military that 2 is 1 and 1 is none. I think Constitutional will end up having the highest utility for me, and I think it will likely have the largest universe of possible buyers as well. I think people will desire a 90% Silver dollar or half dollar more than they would a 2024 Silver Eagle, in part because of the novelty of having something that is 80 to 140+ years old. Lastly, it's one of the absolute coolest thing that I can leave behind to my family that will have genuine value and be of service to them in their own lives when I can't be there to help.

Constitutional silver, IMO, sits perfectly at the cross roads of stacking (for whatever reason you have) and collectibility. Both can provide long lasting value and higher returns over time - which includes premiums further than silver spot price alone. That said, i don’t mix Morgan silver dollars in with “junk” silver solely because of the silver content. “Pound for pound” Morgan’s have almost 6% more silver content. In small dollar amounts, or singular transactions, it’s not significant but anything else and it can really add up. The average silver in $1 FV of “junk” silver is ~0.715 oz. The average silver in $1 FV of Morgan’s (and Peace) is 0.7734 oz …..that’s 5.84% more than “junk” silver.
