If I am correct I think you could have put a sanctuary in the middle forrest of your capital, which will make one sancturay level 4 and the other level 5, not sure if you knew it though so just commenting it here! you could also put sancs in mountains I believe edit: saw the border growth so in the end I guess it was maybe better for a longer game

i just said the same thing; but it is mistake because u are wasting so much momentum and total stars not-earnt/lost until border growth is more important cause u can use them to reinvest into eco and map dominance; it was turn 6 he placed 2nd sanct while border growth happened turn 14th so 8 turn difference (+another 4 turns to fully saturate his capital sanct to get to lvl4) so until fully leveled his sanct which takes 12 turns (turn 18th; by this time he will earn more) I estimate means around 20stars lost; this is massive blunder actually - 2x star ruin :)

3:06 its much better to place 2nd sanct in capital on the tree with 2 animals and potential for 4 - not only ur already gainig +2stars from this (compared to where u placed it cause there was 1 animal) but also huge likelihood 3rd animal will apply to both sancts even the 2nd turn

why didn't you put the cap sanc on the forest? yes, it'd get the other's potential down to 5, but also this one's potential from 2 (4 with a bg) to 4 wo a bg
