I don't have it but I think it looks pretty good for the price and people are saying they copied the cup weapons but they don't look anything like them most of the content I seen looks and sounds much better than cup

BI's latest CSLA cDLC is mostly Arma 2 and even Arma 3 vanilla assets retextured + Lots of bugs. I am not saying a lot of work didn't go into it because the map looks good but the sounds, the models, the lack of jets etc... Everyone had high hopes for this, at least quality on part to previous cDLCs. I Imagine that BI themselves should come out in a few days with the following statement: "In light of the recent events, and the state of the latest cDLC, we are inclined to compensate not only the buyers but also our loyal community and so anyone who has bought the cDLC will be able to get another cDLC of their choosing (50% discount on SOG) on us and CSLA will become a beta now and free for anyone in a year from now when hopefully all issues are resolved, this is also our gift considering the cDLC portraits our homeland and we want all our players to be able to experience it in its fullest, sincerely yours, BOHE*** INTER*****". That is the only thing they could do to compensate years of hype for this cDLC only to let its fans down completely again.

It‘s really sad to see how this DLC ended. ČSLA mods have huge tradition in Czech and Slovak OPF/Arma community. First iteration came out on Operation Flashpoint and it was really great mod which later even expanded to AČR (Army of Czech Republic). Lots of weapons, vehicles and whole campaign. Great times. By the way its still available on Moddb. Next iteration for first Arma was a basically just graphical upgrade, however only 12 SP mission was present. The best version was without doubt a version for Arma 2: CO. 3 factions, 27 SP missions, 12 MP missions and big full fledged SP campaign ‘89 with 60 missions, cutscenes, voice action and 3 different ending. This was definitely highlight of this mod series. So it’s really sad to see that mod team failed to build on previous success. Maybe it’s because a lot of original mod developers went to work for Bohemia Interactive. Maybe. But if nothing more, go try out Arma 2 version of ČSLA. It’s great, it’s free and it’s still available on Moddb.

I think the Soviet-Afghan War would be a good idea, but what we really need is an enormous DLC that adds all the coldwar theaters of war. Global Mobilization with its recent big update is a great start.

You are not going to find the Tatra T-815, or DANA SpGH or the armored V3S in RHS. Iron Curtain does have some unique vehicles not seeing in any existing mod.

@@nicohola6172 uh... Maybe when the new game comes, usualy on A3 winter maps or are fucking bright or it mkes you feel like your floating clouds... It is *kinda* hard to get it right. But i do agree with you, cause right now the only dlc with a winter map is the GM DLC and even if i do like the map, is not the best :/

I haven't tried this DLC. And if I need to command a squad for a good portion of the missions, I'm very unlikely to get it. I really dislike being a squad leader. I don't want the headache of dealing with commanding AI squadmates. I just get overwhelmed and the game then looses its appeal. I just want to be a grunt and told where to go and what to do.

Thing lot of people miss, is that its not about the US, technically they are supposed to be sort OPFOR faction in this situation and the focus is on CSLA units (hence the name). It started as mod for Operation Flashpoint as having Czech and Slovak faction in theme of cold war since that was the conflict in Operation Flashpoint. Many Czechs and Slovaks at that time remembered their service in CSLA or just knew it from films and movies. It is something czechs and slovaks build for them self and probably was not considered to appeal to foreigners. There is a fan community around CSLA for almost 20 years and this is simply must for us. But when people looks at CSLA as another eastern faction and easily don't see difference between soviet troops I can see how that makes no difference and just go for RHS and CUP. But that is not the solution for czech and slovak players. And considering the creators worked on this for 20 years for free, the literary lunch money for this dls is hardly too much to ask for. And its sad that people who were not the target audience to begin with give it low reviews, because they don't understand what this mod is about.

I don’t think that’s the reason for hate maybe because of these poor work on some aspects: -helicopter damage model is none existent -tank turret spins like beyblade -when on the exterior turret of a tank/arc, free-look down to your legs -apparently stealing a car for a hot ride is a mission

check out Shield 84 štít 84 to get some inspiration. I only played old demo for OP Flashpoint, then Arma I, I did not lie the flying, felt too arcadey and unrealistic when it came to physics.

It must feel nice to get working vehicles in arma 3. Been playing dayz for 12 years. Still waiting for working vehicles and helicopters. Nothing like seeing Working arma 3 content getting released. Still no desert city DLC, I mean iraq would be nice but if we got a Syria or even something like Oman DLC that would be something arma is missing. All the desert city community maps are not up to arma 3 quality sadly.

Kidal is very good. Never had any issues on Kidal. I’d say it’s not too far from BI quality. The remade (new) versions of Fallujah are good if you haven’t tried any of them too but still not BI quality. Lot of good desert maps as well that don’t have a “big city” per se but have very dense population around a large area, some of which are definitely BI quality. Names blank off the top of my head tbh Also a new one that came out recently called Al Basrah. Not that big but has great detail, worth checking out

Personally I think its a good effort by Bohemia to entertain the community but its honestly grade A garbage. I would have a higher opinion if not for RHS and CUP being completely free. Edit: My friend just told me anytime he selects any weapon variant with a grenade launcher in CSLA, his game crashes.

guys Bohemia didnt make this. its part of the CDLC content make by Arma modders. It has some bugs but for $10 its worth it. Just skip McDonalds or starbucks for one day.

they *did* QA the DLC, like all of the CDLC. Why did they sign off on this DLC that 98% of the assets are arma 2 ports and exist in tons of free workshop mods

Yes absolutely. The issue is that Bohemia stands behind this. On the CDLC page FAQ Bohemia says their purpose is to help with QA and make sure the DLC’s meet a standard before being published. This dlc certainly doesn’t - to see even more mistakes with the DLC you can’t watch Rimmy’s video on it. It just doesn’t even look complete.
