We have been D23 members in the past, and will be again. We didn't think we would go to any events this year considering how the year started, and we weren't going to make Disney trips for the same reason to use most of the discounts. We thought the gift this year was just okay, so we took a pass. We do like access to all of the emails/information, and the magazines, though, and do think it's worth the membership if you're going to really enjoy some of the "perks."

I know you probably didn’t get to enjoy many of the perks when I gifted you your first D23 membership but I’m so glad you rejoined. I love the member gifts! I have been a member now for 4 years and love it! This years is no exception. It’s awesome! Enjoy and maybe we will both be at D23 Convention next year !!

Absolutely agree! D23 is worth it for a true Disneyphile! The only thing lacking from your vid Michael is the magazine; yes, you mentioned it, but it really needs to be highlighted! The D23 magazine is more like a collector's piece of art than a "magazine"! It is beautiful, very heavy stock paper, amazing exclusive photographs & stories, and so much more. I can't tell you the number of times friends have asked to borrow them (sorry, no...but you can look at it here as much as you want!). The D23 quarterly magazine is as much an incentive as anything in the Welcome Box! :-)

Hey Michael! I just joined D23 last month to have access to go to the Destination D event at the Contemporary. I have been struggling to find when tickets go on sale. Do you have any idea when they go on sale?

So far I don't think that it has been worth it for me but I joined in the last couple of years. You don't get discounts in the parks, only the select shops in Disney Springs it seems....most of which I am not really interested in. That's fine, that's always going to be the case for some people....though I do think discounts in the parks would make sense. I have bought some D23 only merchandise that I love. I am waiting, impatiently, for the information about that event in November....they taunted us with that email back on June 24 saying the details were coming in July. There's only one week left and I WANNA KNOW! 😂 Anyway my current issue isn't really the fault of D23 I think. I joined shortly before Covid...nothing they could do about that. I will stick around a little while longer to see if it is as amazing as I have heard people say.

Right now there's not much going on except D23 pushing the Destination D in November and if you're into their exclusives. Look at their calendar (but it's VERY LAST MINUTE) and the exclusives. I think it would be more worth it later on, but then again, they should be selling tickets soon for the D23 Expo (Anaheim) in August for next year. Unless they're holding off to see how things go with COVID.
