I love the call out as well about talent retention. Not only recruiting at a super high level, high school and transfer portal, but retaining the 2nd and 3rd string younger athletes that are bought in.

When Oregon got into the BIG, along with NIL it changed everything. The Ducks ceiling is limitless under this current CFB landscape.
@jaxsontuttle49323 ай бұрын
That’s what makes us dangerous for years to come cause Oregon has all the resources for not only coaches to have but for players to make the most money they want with the NIL and Dan Lanning even said he loves that the resources he has at Oregon is limitless and he can get whatever he wants to help build a really good program and we’ll pay him the whatever money he wants.

Lanning and the staff are just different. They aren’t typical coaches. They feel genuine and there’s a very unique vibe in Eugene. The NIL dollars are there too, but I think it’s more than that.

As a die hard Oregon Ducks fan I’m so happy and blessed that Dan Lanning is our HC! What he’s building for us in Eugene is insane and it’s only going up from here. I think we, have a really good shot and a lot of potential to win National Championships for the next 5-10 years and more. What really sealed the deal for me was Nick Saban wanted Dan Lanning to take his job first over every other coach that wanted to get an interview first and Saban wanted Dan Lanning to takeover for him and he turned it down. Dan has all the resources he needs and it looks like Dan Lanning will be around for a long time and I’m excited. Sco Ducks 🦆

I think Oregon is building a dynasty because of their recruiting and the fact that they are top three in college football with how much NIL they are willing to use. I think they win a national championship in the next three years. I personally have them winning the national championship this year, but I think at the very worst within the next three years they will win.. they have a limitless potential, especially now that they have a coach that actually wants to be there and doesn’t see it as a stepping stone like taggart, chip, or Mario.
@tbirds26hockey3 ай бұрын
Fuck it, two titles in three years
@DuckFanDane3 ай бұрын
I think the reason that Oregon fans don’t freak out or Texas or the other Blue Bloods who have bad losses or don’t reach their goals is because they don’t have the history. Those programs like Texas that will freak out and want to fire their coach they have won national championships in the past and they are Blue Bloods so there is a certain expectation. As far as Oregon, we have one of the best records the past 25 years, but we don’t have any national titles so we tend to give our coaches more rope. Also, just because you’re at Oregon you don’t automatically recruit like places like Texas and other Blue Bloods. There are definitely Oregon fans who because of the game management issues have wanted to get rid of planning, but that is an extreme minority. I will say, whoever brings organ a national championship in football is going to be praised and treated like a God at Oregon because of how much crap everybody gives Oregon for being the college team that can get close, but never finishes.

@dadwithavlog52683 ай бұрын
lol…they said the same about Smart until he won back to back. “Kirby can’t win the big one and can’t beat Saban.” Same with Harbaugh last season. Same with Saban bed ore he got to LSU. So stop. It’s obvious the man can recruit and he is 22-5 in his 1st 2 seasons as a HC. He’s also doing it in Eugene. The state of Oregon is not able to produce a ton of high level athletes (there are less than 80,000 black people living in the entire state). And yes, some is NIL, but Oregon spends about half of what the top schools in the SEC and Ohio State spend. So he’s doing a phenomenal job. And it’s not a matter of if he wins, it’s when. It took Kirby 6 years. Lanning will do it before then.
@chewbaka14963 ай бұрын
@dadwithavlog5268 Except you're wrong on both fronts. I should know. I'm a huge GA fan. People didn't talk about dynasty until Kirby won his first one. Even after he won the first one, at least 50% didn't mention dynasty until he won back to back. And how is Dan going to beat Kirby year in and year out? Kirby is currently deemed as the best active coach in college football. Have you forgotten the last time they met?
