26:00 actually there are four areas with music, 2 are secret areas (Daughters of Chaos, Ash Lake). Not including _The Faithful Black Knights_ which is the environmental music between the Firelink Chamber and The Kiln, and _Battle of Stoicism_ in the DLC.

finished my first playtrough a few days ago. i was amazed by how interconnected the world is and how many secrets this game hides for the player. even tho alot of the bosses are pushovers by today standards i still remember all 24 of them by name

Very cool video i recently played dark souls 1 for the first time this year and fell in love with it, despite my first dark souls game being the third in the series the first game still held up so well. It has slwoly become one of my favorite games of all time please play the other souls type games created by fromsoft I would lvoe to see a new fans perspective on these titles long after they've come out.

What you say about demons souls is extremly incomplete, the game was done that hard by miyazaki behind the back of his superiors ,it was an initial failure, but eventualy did sell well, a part of it being that streamers outside of japan played it and a lot of people importes it, eventualy leading to sony releasing the game worldwide and namco picking up interest of publisbing "part 2"

Yes, Im aware of that. But this is a Dark Souls video, so I don't think that info is too important. Demon Souls was not received well in Japan initially, as opposed to Dark Souls which was an instant hit.

​@@jubbalubby Still, by that omition you made It sound like the game was a total failuer, which in the long run It wasn't , even in Japan and also like It never came out in the west, and that miyazaki wasn't at the front in Demons souls, you can omit all you want but It should still convey the necesary information, which by the omitions you made it doesn't do. DS1 was my first Souls game and it was the game that introduced me to the Souls community. The atmosphere and world of DS1 are peak. There is also a place with an ambience that you may have forgotten: There is a region in the game called Ash Lake. (my favorite area) While there a theme plays in the background (my favorite theme in the game) I had never seen anything like this before and I was completely fascinated. It was hard but it felt great. So much so that when I finished the game I felt like I was disconnected from life. I was aimless and wanted more Souls games to fill the void in my soul. Once you get used to the Souls games, you become unable to play any other games, veteran players will understand what I mean. After finishing DS1 many times, I decided to venture into new waters and thus started DS2. For me, it's a story that starts with hatred and ends with love... If you want to try Dark Souls 2, I have to give you some preliminary information: Don't expect an interconnected map design in DS2, but you can still go to 5 different areas from your hub. And I guarantee you the best hub area you'll ever see in any Souls game is in DS2. The ADP stat is the most important stat in DS2. Because this stat increases the i-frames and speed of your character's rolling, passing through the fog gate, drinking estus and all your other animations. It can easily be brought up to par with DS1 within the first two hours of the game. At the same time, hitbox problems in the game can be solved by increasing ADP. Never try to run past enemies. DS2 was made specifically to punish players coming over from DS1. Quantity trumps quality when it comes to bosses in DS2. However, there are still fun bosses in the game. Especially in DLCs. DS2 was made by Yui Tanimura, not Miyazaki. Miyazaki was a consultant because he was working on Bloodborne at the time. Hence many of the flaws in the game. However, the love of other Souls games is still present in DS2. Yui Tanimura is the person who later created the DS3 DLCs and most of Elden Ring. Some people call DS2 the "worst souls game", and that's why they tell you to skip DS2 and move on to DS3. Please don't listen to them and try it first. but I think it's a DS2 is great game despite its flaws. The content and variety the game offers is enormous. Maybe you won't like it as much as DS1, but I definitely think it's a game that shouldn't be skipped. Sorry for my missionary, I just wanted to warn you about the problems you may encounter in the game. Welcome to the Souls community.

I think, one thing often overseen about difficulty, is just how directionless and obscure the game feels. On my first run I went down basically directly down the graveyard and (given the games hard reputation) I wasted way to much time there.

I think you missed an area in the game there is a tree on the far left side of Blight town called the great Hollow you unlock a bunch of illusion walls inside the tree and progress downwards till you reach a place that I don’t think I want to spoil for you but it is the third place in the game that has music

I did find Ash Lake during my first playthrough, but I didn't spend too much time there since I didn't do any NPC quest. It was cool but empty so yeah

Between the 3 games I have around 4-500 hours played and I’ve never seen a hacker… pvp is a huge part of the experience. The anxiety is so much higher when you’re up shits creek and you get invaded by a real person. Not to mention when you’re invaded by an angel who gives you cool items and leaves. I think not playing PvP was a mistake.

Kalameets attack is dodgable, ( i did multiple times in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJm2pYFrpZifj7csi=PLINRfoB4Ew67jmt )you need to get the right timing and direction, hes probably the third best boss in the game

I did dodge that dash swipe a few times too, but it's too inconsistent for me. While I ranked Kalameet dead last, it was still a decent fight. It's just that one move that pissed me off so much, but other than that, Kalameet is a fine boss. Not in top 10 for me tho.
