Is DHMIS's "Friendship" Episode the WORST ONE?

When I'm alone it's very rare that I verbally laugh at something out loud when watching things, even when I find it funny. Yet this episode had the one moment in the whole series that did get a verbal laugh out of me and that was when Duck said he wanted to go on the dark web to look at a picture of a skeleton. For that alone I have a fondness for it.

It was the funniest episode in my opinion. Everybody had great lines such as "freelancers deserve to die" and "your maiden name of course". Warren is such a piece of shit character and I just love to watch him. Also the ending is the best in the whole series with them fighting. It's not horror focused as the others but my God it's fucking hilarious.

Honestly, I'm not sure which is the worst but I really love this one. Warren is awful, but we do get the whole "anti-bullying teacher who can't deliver his message because he keeps getting bullied" thing which I adore. It also has some of the funniest lines in the whole series, "freelancers deserve to die" is a favourite

I think this episode was more to show their daily lives when no teachers are around so is supposed to be slow to show how miserable their lives are, but is totally fair that you disliked it or found it boring, I really liked it because had an ex-friend that was like Warren so is a bit nice to see him getting roasted, and I think Warren just call himself eagle trying to disassociate from the news saying that a worm was fired for harassment.

I feel that description sounds more like Transport, because throughout the whole episode there was a lack of teachers, besides Mr.Transport (who I love). The majority of the episode felt slow and weak compared to this.

It's not the scariest or most serious episode but it's absolutely hilarious. Most of the best jokes are in this episode. The orchard guy, the denim bit and the roasting of the eagle. It's really the funniest episode

This episode was definitely the most personally disturbing for me, and that's why it's my favorite. I don't know whether I should refer to Warren as a "worm" or as an "eagle" - he's technically a worm, but I feel like people who go along with the "eagle" joke will get triggered if I say he's a worm - so I'm just gonna call him "Warren". The reason this is personally disturbing to me is because there was a point in my life where I was in Warren's position. I wasn't as BAD as him, but I feel like I could've been if I didn't work on improving my behavior. Basically, I did have a best friend in my life who was super close to me, and she made a few other friends and introduced me to them and we all got along. But at some point, she and the others started avoiding me more and more, to the point where they even started ghosting me, and it was because they thought I was getting more aggressive and it made them uncomfortable. Though I wasn't trying to be aggressive; raging is funny to me, so I was just trying to be funny, but they all took it seriously and it turned them away from me. If I had tried to ruin the friendships that my best friend had made with her other friends, then I'd have been as bad as Warren. But thankfully, I worked on improving my behavior instead. Which ended up making things worse, but that would require even more explanation, and this is about the DHMIS episode. So anyways, I thought the symbolism conveyed in the episode was really powerful and meaningful. The whole thing about "having a worm in your brain" is referring to that little piece of worry, or hatred, or self-loathing, which is really what Warren embodies. And when he enters Yellow Guy's brain, it just gets worse and worse, to the point where Yellow Guy is left running through the darkness while the voice of Warren echoes all around him, muttering and laughing and even singing the "Brain Friends" song in a sinister voice. When things go out of its mind in this episode, the "bang" factor happens fleetingly, but there's plenty of build-up towards it happening, so it didn't cripple the moment at all. And having Warren showing up all huge and deformed and fleshy makes plenty of sense to me - some people think it didn't make sense and it was just the show's way of incorporating some last-minute gore into the episode (because they didn't know how else to do it), but the way I see it, it was showing Warren as what he truly was deep down - a monster. He's a toxic person who gets too clingy to others that show any form of friendliness to him, and if that person's other friends don't agree with Warren, then he dominates the situation until it turns the person's other friends away from them, leaving only Warren. Correspending with his own twisted logic: "you only really need one best friend". It isn't the darkest episode in the season, but it's dang close. And the ending to this episode is also the BEST.

Fun fact: There’s a detail in episode 2 that reveals why Warren is no longer apart of the OK Stop organization. It’s very quick but when Duck is reading the newspaper before announcing he was dead, there’s a headline that says: “Worm fired for harassment,” is shown shortly before he puts down the paper.

Honestly the episode is the funniest in humor and the most realistic in it's depiction of toxic friends [ at least for me ] hilarious in of course the jokes cuz a lot of my favorite moments came from this episode, and most realistic cause I highly related to yellow guy in the episode. And they did do a great job at making warren intentionally unlikeable cuz I was just waiting for him to die.

i’ve never really gotten why this seems to be the least popular in the series, this and death are easily the best ones imo, theyre the funniest, most rewatchable and most quotable episodes in the series by far. warren is one the best part of the episode for me, i absolutely love to hate him, moreso in the first half of the episode. the brain friends definitely arent my favourite thing in the world but at least the first half of this episode is my favourite part of the series

I think I prefer the creepier episodes, so this one mostly left me a bit cold at first, but it grew on me since then: things did take a creepy turn when the giant worm started chasing Yellow Guy around in his own brain, the "brain friends" bit was weirdly charming (building a bit on what we saw with the web series and Red Guy's little scenes of trying to perform little songs in the office and karaoke club), there is a bit of world-building in this one that foreshadows the weird twists of the "Electricity" finale by playing with the different "levels" of Yellow Guy's consciousness, and the self-help/self-esteem guru satire is some damned sharp and funny stuff. It's an episode that rewards subsequent viewing, I think, and I think it's fair of anyone to say that if this is the weakest episode, then the other episodes must be some really good stuff!

unpopular opinion but i really like this one actually. i love the songs, i love the computers whole role, it has some of the funniest lines/moments, and im a sucker for an annoying voice. so i do love warrens character for that. i think that transport is the weakest. i like the transport song a lot (its so catchy, and again i love the trains voice) but the episode as a whole feels a bit like a filler. and i also dont rate the death episode as highly as some people do. that would be just above transport for me.

I honestly hate this episode because it completely dashes any notions of Duck and Red being “good friends” with the violent part at the end. Like Idk about you guys but when it comes to my friends being good friends, I draw the line at senseless violence towards me or each other. I know fiction and media don’t have to always display perfect friendships, but it ruins the message of the episode and is just also really jarring in a distressing way for me. Many laugh at that part, but I get viscerally scared.
