Definitely, diversity can add strengths. However, when diversity becomes division, that is too far. Canada has division from federal, to provincial, to municipal governments, to news media, to social media, to individuals. With everyone divided and pitched against eachother my country is weaker than ever. All of our lock downs, restrictions, having to show our papers to exist or buy coffee, and the Emergencies Act being used... all of that insanity for more than two years and so many of the population just took it. We are so divided here it takes nothing to control us. Look at what happened to Ukraine after Maidan. They were against the government, against eachother, protestor against factory worker, then Russia came in, took Crimea, and did invasion, lite edition.

This is why folks like Coleman Hughes are pushing for a return to "Color Blind" practices.

sounds fine to me, since diversity precedes anything you aim to do with it (so instead of motte/bailey, more like "u can't grow wheat without a field" or something like that 🤷♀)
