That's why we really need the heavenly wisdom to decide for marriage, cause people nowadays they can decide quickly for marriage it is better to wait than marry wrong.

My divorce was finalized a year and a half ago. It saddened me to go through with the divorce, I fought long and hard and prayed for my ex morning and night, but it unfortunately did not end in reconciliation after books, couple concealing through a Christian counselor once I found one. I'll give you a little bit of background of the fight that I fought. We where that cliche high school sweethearts that got married out of high school, he was in the military so I moved to where he was stationed, but that did not work for long, his true colors showed, he purposely got himself discharged and he hid that from me. He turned abusive, verbally, emotionally and physically. He refused to let me go to church and would follow me anywhere when I left the house because I asked him to leave and find another place to live while we were trying to work things out. He did, agreed that we would seek help but he took it more as a joke. But he couldn't hold down a job so I was paying for everything, which was fine with me. But after several months I found out that he was getting involved with a gang in the town and was messing around with some hard drugs and also had a girlfriend, and later found out that I was not only paying his bills but also hers. I was heartbroken to say the least. And after finding this out I went to our counselor for a session for just me, and we prayed but unfortunately there was nothing else that my councilor could do, so it me another month of praying to decide to file for divorce. I still battle with feeling guilty for not reconciling the marriage. But after the divorce I found a church and have been attending ever since. And the young adults group there has welcomed me with open arms even though I got a divorce in my early 20's. I had recommitted my life and got baptized within the last year. Sorry that was kind of long...

Jessica Creps I know this is an old comment but, you don't need unnecessary guilt. Jesus words were radically egalitarian concerning divorce. What men refuse to see given the cultural context was what Jesus was actually doing for women! He said plainly that a woman could divorce for ANY reason minus to simply marry another man. Men could ONLY divorce if a Woman was sexually unfaithful to him. Laws protect the vulnerable not the strong. If you want further information regarding his words, comment back, you are not under bondage to any form of abuse. If people choose to follow God and be persecuted for their faith that's different but, persecution regarding gender NOT necessary to being a Christian. It makes sense to continue praying, be a friend, be kind but, having to stay in an intimate relationship is just institutionalized abuse. You absolutely did the right thing. God bless you.

By Pam saying "Hate the sin, not the sinner." she is not quoting she is simply paraphrasing. She never claimed it that it's a quote from the Bible. ~~I think that what Pam is trying to say is that we should not judge people, but to love them anyway because God first loved us nothing changes his love for us. That we should therefore love others even though we don't always agree with or condone their actions.~~ John 15:9-17, 1 John 4:7-8, 1 John 4:9-11 What shall we get from attacking other believers online? This only adds to the division, confusion, misconceptions about christianity and causes more problems. God loves us and offers forgiveness to us, that we should love one another and forgive each other because God showed us mercy and forgives us for our sins. I'm not going to lie people hurt us, but we should as believers forgive each other it may take time and won't happen over night it's not easy and we should be actively forgiving one another. God loves us and wants reconciliation with us that's why Jesus died on the cross. God hates no one, but loves everyone. God loves us all no matter what. God doesn't just send people to hell we chose to go there, by not believing in him, by rejecting him, by not accepting him as or Lord and savoir. Hell is eternal separation from God we chose whether we believe or not so we chose a life with him or a life without him and there are consequences for our sin if we don't turn to God. God loves us ALL that is why he sent his son Jesus to take our place to die for our sins so we ALL have a chance at reconciliation with him and to have a relationship with him through Jesus Christ our Lord. Below are some verses about God's love. John 3:16 Deuteronomy 7:9 Psalm 85:15 Psalm 136:26 Zephaniah 3:17 Romans 5:8 Romans 5:2-5 Ephesians 2:4-5

I wish you the best. I didn't have a choice in my divorce. A year and half after getting married, my ex admitted she had been having an emotional affair and said she wanted a divorce. I fought tooth and nail, prayed constantly for God to restore my marriage, and did everything I could think of to work things out. In the end, my ex left, refused to go to counseling together, and was in a new relationship two weeks after separating. Then she moved in with him a few short months later. I'm not waiting till she dies to get remarried because she's already dead to me. I wouldn't ask for her permission to get remarried because my responsibility to that marriage is dead along with her. Sometimes you have no choice but to let go and move on. Ask God to show you the right path and follow His lead. Marry a genuine Christian with good values and character.

The bible says you shouldn't get a divorce but if you do, don't remarry because that is adultery but if you are a widow you can remarry because your former spouse is no longer alive. I guess what God is trying to show us is we should be so committed to marriage that we should never even think about being with someone that isn't our spouse and we are supposed to be one flesh.

kaitlyn I think it's a wrong question, It's not about can I or Can't I...much better question is: Does watching of Anime stealing from you your time with Jesus?... I used to watch anime, I stopped because the new ones are all quite the same, older classic anime's like cowboy bebob, berseker, Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood are I think greater, they have great stories. The thing is that when I watched for example Naruto, Fairy tail, I could watch it for whole day, BOOM 30 episodes per day and I think its mostly not worth it, there are much better things to do. So I think it's OK to watch anime, but you have to set some limits.

Anime is a lot of fun to watch.... but in all truthfulness sometimes it can get inappropriate. Showing us things that are scared for marriage and for intimacy with our husband/wife. Besides having the self-control to limit your time on anime. I also believe it is important to guard your heart and mind against sexual temptations that can come from watching the things that you like (anime or not). 1 Peter 2:11 encourages us to control our flesh (what we see, hear, think, and pursue) because it wages war against our soul. That's often why we ask 'How did I lose my fire for God?, Why am I not as passionate as I used to be?' A better question is 'are you filling your self with the words of God or the things of this world?'. If you don't put your walk with God first then that's not where your heart is going to be. So to answer your question you can watch anime, just make sure that you are not putting your self in a position where your sexual integrity is being violated. Here is some back up from the word of God (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, Colossians 3:5 Hebrews 13:4 Matthew 5:27-28 John 14:15 )
@I_Foshow

I think that that is too broad of a question. That's like saying can a Christian watch cartoons?, or can a Christian watch movies or Tv? You are going to have to weigh its content by the spirit. I'm pretty sure that you watch or have watched movies before, so in that sense, I know you know that there are movies that are good and that there are movies that it's best you stay away from. Not all anime is bad. I like anime too, and there are a lot that I won't allow myself to watch (again). But another thing to keep in mind is Japan as a whole. Anime is just what they call their cartoons. Also, Christianity is not that popular down there, so you can't really expect them to go all out with Christian themes; and if they do so, is probably rare.

Then the question has to be asked..... is the wife being humble and obedient in "Everything" as has been commanded of her? "22 Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything." @thewatcher96
@thewatcher96 4 жыл бұрын
@Eseme Unuavworho First ascertain why the wife is getting a 'beating'? Surely it cannot be because she is obeying him in all things as is commanded of her, and is being "humble, meek, and of a quiet spirit, which is of GREAT price to God" Which ALL true "Daughters of Sarah" must willingly be living out in their 'duties' to both her Lord and husband. "22 Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything." Ephesians 5:22-24 (ASV) So, just as the church must willingly obey Christ, so must wives obey their husbands. Once this occurs, what husband would want to 'beat' his wife for that?

Very good video. I think its important when reading the bible to distinguish between general statements and absolute statements. Jesus isn't contradicting himself or Paul when he says things like "let no man seperate" he's just speaking in generalities. We see this a lot in the bible. It says things like don't lie, give to all who ask, and obey the government but later on it gives exceptions to each of those rules.

For someone who is having such thoughts as these, its hard and its frightening to really understand. I am currently battling this type of dilema. I have prayed for my marriage and my wife but it still seems that we are not happy together. I am Christian and she is not. I think in that itself is difficult. There are other personal issues that seems that she is also unwilling to change. I am at a cross roads of what path I must take. But I tell myself that God should come first and that he would want we has to be happy. I do feel like I would fail him if I were to divorce, but at times I feel like it the right thing to do. Thank you for the easy to understand explanation. My parents divorced when I was a child and I swear that it will never happen to me but it did. I have always had a dysfunctional family with my parents and then my stepfather showing up in the picture way before my parents divorce was finalized. My father divorced me along with my mom and my stepfather was always abusive towards me, while my mom allowing it. I always desired a wonderful family and my ex husband appeared, which soon we were married. I am blind and believed that horrible lies that no one could love a blind person, and that’s why I married my ex because he said he love me, wanted to marry me, and lies plus lies. I didn’t marry loving him but I did not want to be alone for the rest of my life. Our relationship was horrible sis in the beginning and it never felt right. I have never been happy with him but I learn to love him and walk on eggshells all the time. I thought that’s how men treated their wives because that’s what I’ve always learned and that it was always my fault. He was illegal in the US and I file for a green card for him, which became pregnant. We never had good communication and he often play the silent treatment, which I never knew why he was angry. He was denied citizenship a month before I had my baby. It was devastating because I depended on him completely. I thought for him in searching attorneys and in the meantime learn to becalm independent. He would say he love me but his actions were always different, when I would visit him at Mexico. I thought for him to get him citizenship for five years. Sending him money, trying to make it as a single mom and with health issues. I was Stress everyday. I was crying so much. My only friend who was blind like me past away and she was my only support at the time. My ex-husband left me with all the packages, supporting him, paying for (Immigration Attorney)‘s, parenting my daughter and supporting her plus household and going back-and-forth to Mexico. I was left with a decision making because there was no decision making from him. I was going to move to Mexico and abandon everything in the US, which there is nothing in Mexico for disabled. I knew there was no future for me either but I want my family together. I moved all my stuff to Mexico, for nothing and he was going to get a place ready but after three years I am still waiting. There was no communication, I was abandoned emotionally because he would just call to speak to our daughter and not even say hello to me or how I am but (Immigration) continued. He completely checked out of the relationship for a year and a half and I was left with the immigration decision in canceling immigration process. I sent an email to (Immigration) and I don’t know if my email affected her’s denial decision once again. I feel so much guilt from that because I should’ve left it to God and then I file for divorce. He didn’t fight for me and I was just exhausted of trying to keep a marriage that it was dysfunctional since day one. I am so broken. I feel like with no purpose, no hope and depressed. I feel such a failure and so naïve and stupid and worthless. I was afraid to be alone for the rest of my life and I am alone now anyways. 33 years old and 10 years with that man. My daughter is hurting and that’s what I don’t want for her because she wants a father and that’s what I was seeking as well. I have double condemnation for canceling immigration and taking my daughter‘s father away. And the divorce. Please I need help. I don’t want to lose my salvation . I don’t know how to fix the life that I destroyed. I am sorry for writing my whole life but I don’t want anybody to make the wrong decisions that I did. God bless

Well to answer the question, I'd say no divorce is not a sin. Just because you got married doesn't mean that God ordained it. I wonder why most people don't mention free will here. We have free will to do what we want. We just don't realize that our desires can't supersede God's plans and will. If it doesn't work out, then chances are God was never a part of that relationship and you were never supposed to be with them to start with. That's just my thoughts though...

I don't agree, any true Christian would NOT divorce their husband or wife except for sexual immorality or fornication! it is a sin to be disobedient and NOT do as Jesus instructed. Yes divorce is a sin. Here it is: Divorce Romans 7:2 a woman is bound to her husband til death Matthew 19:3-12 Jesus explains that from the beginning it was not so, can divorce only for fornication 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 God say the husband and wife cannot depart from each other Jeremiah 3:8 Israel backslid and committed spiritual adultery against the Lord Jeremiah 3:20 Divorce is treacherous Jeremiah 3:14 God is married to the backslider John 3:19 men’s deeds were evil Roman 8:1 free from the law of sin and death through Jesus Christ Malachi 2:16 God hates divorce Mark 10:11-12 if you divorce and marry another you are committing adultery Mark 10:1 Jesus on divorce Mark 10:11 Mark 1-9 1 Corinthians 7:1-2 to avoid fornication 1 Corinthians 11:3 the head of the woman is the man 1 Corinthians 7:27 seek not to be loose. Numbers 23:19 Ecclesiasticas (also known as the book of Sarrach) chapter 23: verse 22 Thus shall it go also with the wife that leave her husband and bring in an heir by another, for First she hath disobeyed the law of the most high, and secondly she hath trespassed against her own husband and thirdly she hath played the whore in adultery and brought children by another man. Ecclesiasticas chapter 23: verse 18 a man that breakth wedlock saying thus in his heart “who see me? I am compass about with darkness, the walls cover me what he I to fear the most high will not remember my sins”. 1 Corinthians 7:5 do not deprive your spouse of sex (less it be for prayer, fasting, menstrual cycle, medical condition) James 4:4 adulterers 1 Corinthians 7:2 to avoid fornication

I read in bible and as I agree with you that divorce is a sin by God because when married is until death do you part. However if a person is being abusive, drinking and drugs and other things that is put a strain on one person, I think would be acceptable. God wouldn't want us in a marriage that we feared or take us away from God's love. The divorce part I get confused on is if a person marries after divorce that's a no no until the other person dies. But like in your video saying ask God about it, talking with pastors or other Christian friends in ways to handle it is good. Also good thing to talk to them before divorce as well. But you explained it very well. My biggest thing is never let it go as far as wanting to hurt anyone or yourself because death is never answer and shouldn't give up on life over anyone in this world. Also with someone hurting a child, I feel needs to get away from that.

Dear brother having been sued for divorce after I was born again I will say with certainty that two born agains Christians will not seek divorce because they now have the heart of Jesus pounding within their chest. Secondly, 2 Corinthians 6:14 is not a valid reason for divorce but an explaination not to be unequally yoked with none believers this applies to all areas of a Christians life but not a acceptable reason for divorce. The difficult thing for man to come to grips with is that their heart is evil and hardened by sin. The Christians heart is soft and pliable having been given a new heart a hard of flesh (Jesus's heart). Divorce was not Gods invention but it was the hardened heart of man that invented it. God bless you brother. So divorce can be a sin depending on the circumstances just like bearing false witness can be a sin ( see example of Rahab and Jericho).
