Divorce is not the answer, especially if there is a reason to fight for your marriage. The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalized

why divorce on my personal side , poor leadership today we struggle with poorly groomed men who don't understand their leadership role in a home. this gives a shaky foundation and they way they demand submission amidst their lack of responsibility me is a deal breaker... submission come easy with a man that treats you right, loves and appreciates you not exploits you and thinks he is doing you a favor

Good evening Rachel, weldone here. I am learning a lot as a person who hopes to get married one day after overcoming the fear of marriage especially because what I saw, as child who grew up in a family where mum had all reasons to divorce but it was never an option for her. I literally saw and continue to see what she goes through but I join her to pray and hope for the joy to come in the morning.

Another reason for the increase in divorce maybe because of the increase in marriage between two people from different backgrounds/tribes. Each partner has a different expectation based what he/she had seen growing up - such marriages need a whole lot work to maintain and God can help the couple.

Interesting chat . . . Thank you. I wish you had brought someone who had actually experienced divorce as the answer to the dysfunction in their marriage. I can not stress how important it is to seek PROFESSIONAL support when navigating a dysfunctional relationship. I have found that many religious organizations tend to focus on protecting the institution while ignoring the individuals who are breaking down emotionally and psychologically in a toxic, dysfunctional relationship. Also, just saying, love of self is the foundation of loving others. Ref. the commandment is to "Love your neighbour AS you love yourself."
