Just get DJ stent removed today, straight wala equipment use hua tha. Local anesthesia was given. Moderate Pain for 1 minute . Then Stent is removed. No need to worry. Its a easy process but discomfort for while in private part. After 1 hr can do normal activities.

Sir, it is so nice of you giving replies to the general queries on KZbin. Drs in our city Jammu dont address the patient's queries like this. I have one question, the Dr. has done RIRS for 18mm left PUJ stone. I was pre stented for 18days & also post stented now. The Dr. has done dusting of the stone. My question is how long does it take to clear all the dust from the system. Can't we see that dust & collect for testing ? I am drinking lots of water & urinating too often, but for how long I need to be doing that ?Can that dust accumulate again to form a new stone?How can I be sure that I am stone free now? Please reply .

Oh, is it ok to keep the stent for long? I am getting this procedure done today, Got a 11mm *6 mm stone stuck in ureter, 1. Today they insert stent 2. After 4 weeks they will bust the stone with laser. And will replace stent with a new stent. 3. After another week they remove stent.

@@jaskaranbrar77 Purpose of stenting is to widen the ureter tube so that when the Dr . Insert the ureteoscope & do laser the site is easily accessible. If the stone is in Kidney & the patient is young then stenting becomes necessary. But in your case you are saying the stone is in ureter & not in kidney/ pelvis. Therefore stunting for too long shouldn't be done. 2 weeks prior stenting should be okay. But Im not a Dr. , I can only tell from my experience. It is sometimes difficult to live with a stent. Though it has no side effect as such. But it might cause you little discomfort while you pass urine or otherwise. Good Luck!
