Haha I'm not worried about completion percentage as long as they're pushing the ball downfield. Low int would be a bigger factor for me

Lifelong OSU fan here, I loved having him in Corvallis. Unfortunately, though it seemed like he was not consistent, even with his big throws. He was clutch in small situations, but didn’t seem to be in big situations throughout the season that we had him. Even with all of that, OSU does incredible typically with their running backs. And with Martinez as our main running back that season, we wanted to utilize him more than DJ’s arm. Overall, I still wish he had stayed with us, maybe we would’ve been team this season…not 5-7

Great vid. A suggestion for the editing: in the intro, the music is at times overpowering the narration until it is faded down and it is distracting. One trick to be able to keep background music at a higher level without detracting from the speach is to use side chain compression. Use the voice track to activate the compressor and squash the music track. Whenever words occur, the music is instantly reduced. This plays a mind trick where the music appears to stay at a constant volume while letting the narration come through. Xs and noles is my fav sports channel. Keep em coming :)
@XsandNoles4 ай бұрын
Cool thanks for the tip. I've cut the middle registers out of all the music and it can still be distracting but no music makes the video feel bare. I'll try this! Thanks again and let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Good analysis. It seems FSU is also utilizing a more west coast scheme with the RBs to leverage his game. Another attacking component will be the play action I feel. If FSU are run heavy, they'll have to respect it, and that will open it up more. I think FSU is going to send a message Saturday. Buckle up boys and girls, it's almost here.

Always dig how you wrap up the videos! From what you presented, I think our OL should give him plenty of time in 9 of the games. When he doesn’t have an OL advantage, do you think FSU’s personal still are a good fit to keep him working his strengths rather than exposing weaknesses?
@XsandNoles5 ай бұрын
If this team doesn't win the LOS I think those are games they lose. JT was able to bail out the OL way more than people realize imo
@fsu11865 ай бұрын
Receiver Error was a major factor that brought down JT's ratings. While DJU and JT have very different skill sets but arguably bring similar value, hopefully our receivers will be more consistent catching the ball b/c we wont have the luxury of having Jordan's ability to keep plays alive through his scrambling and running skill. I definately have confidence in him, this team and most of all our coaching Staff! GO NOLES!!!!

Love the content Kevin. The biggest concern that I have come away with is not with stats, but if he can put the team on his back when needed and make the offense go. If we get down by 10 to 14 points, like we did a handful of times last year, can he bring us back? Can he take over a game? If he can do that, then we are in the playoffs.

Would we consider Norvell’s offense a pro-style offense? DJ seemed to thrive in a lot of those under center/pistol formations and concepts - with an emphasis on the run game and PA passing - in Oregon State.
@XsandNoles5 ай бұрын
It resembles a pro style more and more every year imo. I think they technically would be a "power spread" team in years past but it's really splitting hairs. If they run more under center this year than it will seem very pro style
@drewd58115 ай бұрын
Not super worried. Coach Norvell adjusts his offense to fit the talent vs pigeon hole-ing into a system.

So in other words, we are still going to see 12 and 13 personnel but I feel we should spread them out in 11 or empty but I guess it will be 12 because we are going to have to run the ball

According to F+ the offense was worse this past season compared to 2022. I'm not t trying to be snarky just genuinely curious. Why do you think that was?
@kaydenroberts12545 ай бұрын
@@XsandNoles Our offense this past season is irrelevant to my claims about DJU as an individual. DJ wasn't good last year either. As far as Clemson's offensive regression last season there is a myriad of factors, OL and OL coaching was very poor, played with a hodgepodge of OLineman due to injuries, no real dynamic threat at WR especially with Cole Turner and Antonio Williams out nearly the whole year as well as Stellato and Brown playing injured. Cade did not protect the football and played similarly to DJ, slow, panicky, indecisive, he is young and definitely has far more upside than DJ does now however that doesnt matter for FSUs sake. DJ is a good dude so I wish him the best I just don't see a way he improves much, if any. This is his 5th year and he has not gotten better, everyone can't be great.
