Doordash was popping during COVID. It was easier for me to make enough money to pay my bills. Now doordash is way too oversaturated. Everyone and their grandma is doordashing. Multiapp and even get a part time or full time job too. Last year I got a full time job and I just use doordash to pad my savings or save up for travels.

I quit dashing and started working at papa John's the very last Monday of November. I doordashed for about 2 hrs back in December but it's not worth it for me anymore. About to get hired on doing tires again(outside and driving a truck) $19 an hr plus commission at the end of each month. I'm just tired of having to replace my tires and using my own car and all of the other stuff. I enjoy doing tires more but I still want to get into doing tattoos cuz I enjoy drawing and thinking of what I draw when people ask me to do them.

I'm happy my market is popping. When I got to certain areas all the orders pay $10+ those are usually 7-15 miles but it adds up quick. So I know I'm gon make bank the rest of this year! You can literally make $1200-2000 a week if you dash all day for 6 days and can take the next week off if you want. I love DD🤣

I did alot of Doordashing in 2019 before all of the covid stuff hit. One thing that makes me hesitate to get back into it is that gas prices are way higher than before and I imagine Doordash hasn't increased pay along with that, and last time I attempted to Doordash it was really hard to get any orders, because during 2020-2021 EVERYONE was dashing it seemed.

Personally it's worth it for me . If I didn't have motivation problems I would be out there 8-10 hrs a day . Uber eats is good in my market but hit or miss and GH is filled with the veteran drivers so can't get a good schedule and good orders. I can make $20-30 an hr easily on DD. I'm getting another job to transition out of doing gig work to survive .

Up here in Northern CA Door Dashing is pretty nice. $25 HR almost. The other day I got ripped $20. Just have to drive to the Red Cities and I know my cities pretty well. Good area lots of Rich people. Take orders over $10. Gas is expensive, but I love this freedom.

Like it took me two or three runs to even out. But I haven’t done any gig stuff lately so I don’t know the current market. Also have you ever thought of diversifying your content yet? amazon pulled the plug on restaurants delivery in april/may of 2019 🤔 i believe. at least here in seattle they did. after 2 years they were having trouble making it profitable (taking only 30% cut, but i hear others are taking 40%, now). plus they got sued for taking driver tips (which just got paid out last november)... and then suddenly they needed all the drivers they had at the time to focus on expanding the logistics side of the business when they transformed (logistics) operations into ups/fedex cargo van ... they could restart restaurants overnight if they wanted to, software to run the service is just sitting there on pause, but id be surprised if they did... slightly different topic, do you think doordash algorithm is designed to be addictive, some days make $100 in 3 hrs, but most days $17/hr or about? drivers get hooked solving the puzzle how to make $25+/hr regularly? 🤔 while driving most of the time for about $17ish?

Based on my area, i tested accepting all orders, i go out from 10am - 8pm .By the end it gives me my state average or higher (21.50) top dasher is mine so when 3+ peak pay comes next month im on their @$$ .

Hey Daniel! Great question, yeah I've still been making it work as a full time gig driver. Just having to work a bit smarter. It is essential that you are able to work for multiple apps... the market certainly has its ups and downs but nonetheless the persevere!!

Door dash is only good for grocery delivery. The base pay us usually around 10 to 15. Tips are good. Usually get around 20 bucks for a mile. Food delivery sucks. 2.50 plus a 3 dollar tip to waste 30 mins driving around looking up and down apartments. Nah especially with gas being 5 bucks a gal

Keep us posted on how much you make during the summer with these apps. I’m in your market so I love to compare earnings. Did you do this last summer and if so, what were you averaging a day? I’m shooting for hopefully $160-$180 cause it will be slower. In the colder months I average $250 in Minneapolis. I went out and worked 10 hours yesterday and made $175 between DD and UE but because I’m in an area where it’s 20 from one side to the other of the market it cost me $55 in gas cause I’m in an SUV

If you’re going to do this frequently, you may as well get a Prius (or similar). You’ll get 50+ mpg and it’ll be way less on maintenance costs. Furthermore, it’ll completely offset the payments if you decide to finance.

I travel 36 miles to the dash zone I prefer and then back home 36 miles again. I can just dash in my home zone with a population of ~10k just to collect gas money (borinnggg but worth it) while the preferred zone is in the ~100k range. I do have a student loan to pay off (~$30k) and want to use your strategy when you were earning $3k/week or $10k/month. I only worry about gas expenses more than my food and drink expenses. Starting to use upside and used your promo and had a 31 cent cash back the other day. I think upside added 15 cent bonus not so sure. What should I do?

No it's not worth it, even with multi-apping. My area also has high demand for deliveries. But the gig apps aren't paying their drivers enough. Especially with the rise of gas prices. They're sending me $3 orders and expecting me to drive 6 - 12 miles to get it, then punishing me for declining it by taking away the higher paying offers 👎 🗣 DECLINE‼️

Lmao that legit has absolutely nothing to do with low volume of orders. The word gets out naturally, this happens to be the #1 way the word gets spread around these days.... social media. It all depends on the economy of your market and nothing else.

@@eliesch youtube absolutely has everything to do with the lack of orders 🤣 I've been doing gig work full time since 2017 and when the pandemic hit everyone decided it would be a good idea to spill the beans on everything. Doordash, instacart. Poshmark, ebay, the list goes on. And now, my friend, the market is so saturated with people that of course you don't see orders. It's a ratio. There is absolutely no way for anyone to make a full time living if everyone in town is doing it. Yall wanted to be famous instead of rich. And now you all got your wish lmfao. Nobody can keep anything yo themselves. It's insanity

Is The Dasher Direct Support Line Horrible? I had An Atm withdrawn get retracted back into the ATM, and "After reaching out immediately, Dasher direct said they initiated the process. almost 2 months later still haven't got my $$$ and to make it worse. Called Merchant to be informed DOOR DAH HAD YET TO DO ANYTHING. Absolutly nothing has been done on there end. Now I'm Unable to call The Support Team. Literally Automation Says Prioritizing Calls Good Bye. And Hangs up. DoorDash is naht good..
