I'm a therapist, I've had many clients work at Amazon, it's a terrible place to work. My husband and I just started door dashing on the weekends and he goes out when I'm working. I make alot more per hour as a therapist, but door dashing together is fun and not as serious as mental health issues. The freedom is really important! That's why I work for myself and my husband has the door dashing side gig

I'd say Friday thru Monday. I've noticed Monday's are busy too, I think it's because it's the first day back to work, and a lot of people don't want to cook. During the week you have to find the hot lunch spots. Look for heavy medical areas, places with a lot of (hospitals, denist offices, private practices) you'll be surprised how many of them will order food. Majority of those places are located around a lot of restaurants. Lunch time stay near fast food and sandwich spots. Dinner time stay around sit down restaurants. Hopes this helps new drivers.

I was delivering Amazon for 2 years. They wrote me up saying I was no longer meeting their production quota, so they let me go. Now doing Doordash. The best thing about DD is the flexibility. The DD payout varies from market to market. I have yet to make $1000/week with DD. That's more $$$ than Amazon/week. Keep up the great work! Being your own boss is worth it. Thank you for your valuable information on Doordash.

I’ve done it part time and only gone out 2 days… total of 4 hours actually doing orders but 6.5 hours online, I’ve done $126. I love it, my first day was in the rain during rush hour traffic and I made $40 in tips alone!! Also, I find that tips need to be higher than dash payout in order to be successful. Also, don’t sleep on the $6 orders with a short distance! Did one last night for 2 miles and payout said $6.75. When I delivered and closed out he gave me a $15 tip and payout was $18!! I dash in Chicago as well. I started in January. I have a completely different experience with downtown orders. I find the restaurants to be backed up, traffic to always be an issue, parking is always horrible and the tips not worth it. I tend to stay in Bridgeport and most of the orders are usually from the restaurants there but go 5 miles or so in any direction to deliver. I can make $200 to $250 a day taking advantage of peak pay, the catering program, and large pizza orders. I'll only ever deliver downtown if I know it's gonna be a good size catering order with a nice hidden tip. I would also suggest to the audience to keep the shop and deliver assignments to less than 5 items as time is money and you may need to make several substitutions on missing store items that cause the red card to malfunction and not read leaving you with only two options. Cancel the order for no pay or pay out of pocket and have DD reimburse you. The best days, at least for me to work are Thursday thru Monday.

When I was a teenager, I'd go cruisin' for fun. These delivery apps are gamified cruisin'. It's cruisin' with a scoreboard. It's the best driving sim I've ever played. The social aspects are fun too, keep the end customer happy for good ratings, keep the vendors happy for fast pickups, network with other drivers for useful intel. Every shop and deliver is a minigame called scavenger hunt. One of the first things I did after going full time was secure a vehicle upgrade; a new Honda Accord Sport Hybrid. Sport because time is money. Hybrid because gas is also money. Every week my score lands in my bank account in the form of dollars. What's not to love? Keep a couple of towels in your car people, you can thank me the next time it rains.

@theboy27772 жыл бұрын
@@rainypath96 When people bring up "vehicle maintence" its always so absurd to me. If you weren't going to doordash you was still gonna drive you car anyways. Dont you gotta drive to your 9-5 everyday? dont you gotta get food and go places everyday? Most I've had to do from dashing is oil change and tires. And my oil changes are no more than about 30 dollars. Taxes are easy enough to keep under wraps because your only paying 15 percent of what you made back, if your not saving atleast 15 percent of your earning that's not good even if you didn't have to pay taxes. And to where gas is concerned if i put 10 dollars in my tank that gives me about 60 miles in which that 60 miles i make atleast 40-50 dollars before i have to put gas in again.

This is how I look at it, some people have a $ to mile ratio rule set so like for me, I have a rule of 1.70 - $2 a mile ONLY IF it’s going out of my zone or away from a busy chain of restaurants, if the order is going from one busy chain of restaurants to another chain of popular restaurants sort of close by like 4-5 miles that people order from and it’s $1 a mile, I will take it because the more orders you can do faster the more you can make in 1 hour instead of waiting around for a chance of a $15 order which might not even come through…unless I’m getting a lot of higher $2 a mile orders coming through faster if that makes sense. Everything just depends on your certain market, if you live in a smaller city, like me, I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a lot of the suburban areas can pay really well. You just have to figure out what areas do well for you and your specific goals, I have a goal of trying to make $25-$30 an hour by multi apping.

Only issues I have. I live in San Antonio. Inclement weather (at least in summer) is rare. Peak pay is even rarer (except for late night/overnight hours and military bases which are off limits to me, no military id). Also, the city has a lot of sprawl. Parts of town even have popular restaurants with insanely large delivery ranges. (I.e. only 1 Carrabba's in town, 2 Cheesecake Factories. Etc, even Chick Fil A can have some ridiculous delivery distances depending on location) if I'm not careful or too picky on my selections, I could sit for an hour without taking an order if I'm not careful.

Great tip! But what do you think about using a doordash bot to get better orders. During the doordash glitch, a top dasher in my city made over 5k cause he was using a bot.

Popeyes & Wendy’s too. They don’t start to make your food until you’re there, and then they always have long line AND are slow. It’s funny how we know when we see something pop up whether it’s worth taking just by looking at the restaurant FIRST lol.

How do you get around lowering your acceptance rate by not accepting the lower orders?

9:30 Not completely true. Depending on where you are, it's all depends on customer whim, availability and $/mile offers. You can sit there declining trash offers for a couple hours straight sometimes if you are even getting orders, could be looking at a "Looking .... " screen for a long time between orders. Sometimes you can be going from drop off to another store to another drop off so far from home that it could literally take you 30+min to get back home. Yeah $20 for 30 min. Then wait like two hours for another $5 lol. That is the Luck over here in AZ

Lol I remember one time I was Doordashing in Atlanta and I was dropping off food. I'd made about $70 so far then boom boot man got me because I parked in the wrong spot had to spend everything I'd made smh
