What does place do you recommend if you want to live in Asheville but don't want to be in all of the big crowds of the city.
@livinginasheville25 күн бұрын
Lots of smaller towns nearby! What are you into? If you want to stay in Asheville check out the perimeter. We don’t really have big crowds anywhere.

Asheville is definitely right for you, if you love traffic jams everywhere, high home prices, liberal loons running the city and county, understaffed police force and disproportionately high crime rate (do not take your family downtown after dark). The mountains are still beautiful, but the city has long ago lost it's attraction as a small, charming southern town.

I don't know why you think that's funny@@livinginasheville

After reading this post I did the crime research, Ashville NC does have a higher crime rate than Montgomery & Birmingham AL. SInce I live in Alabama and my home is about 65 miles from Montgomery we don't go to Montgomery at all ever, there's nothing but shootings and murders on the nightly News out of Montgomery. It's sad since I lived in Hendersonville NC for several years in the 1970's I would lie to live in that mountainous area.

Why is the **CRIME rate** so high? What’s going on with that 🤷🏽♀️
@reapthewhirlwind4166Ай бұрын
@@renewashington791 the liberal Town council voted to defund the police about 3 or 4 years ago. Then about half the police force left and they are down to how about 230 police for the whole city.

These were so nice especially the second one BUT but are there affordable condos in downtown Asheville?
@livinginashevilleАй бұрын
There are some- check out the Lyndon video of our walk and talk downtown. He bought one in the 400’s.

Glad to see Asheville is all better now!!!! People are still on KZbin pushing doom and gloom
@livinginashevilleАй бұрын
We are not completely all better. I wouldn’t say that. There are still many people in Swannanoa and up north who still don’t have homes. But we are rebuilding as quickly as we can. In many parts of town are reopened.

Asheville is lame! It’s a small town with big buildings that make no sense. I live in small town in NC with small buildings and it has more life.
@livinginashevilleАй бұрын
Big buildings boo! Haha. It’s a city.

@ I spent time in NYC, LA, and lived in DC for 16 years. Asheville is small!

You shouldn't have to pay HOA fees if you are there for only 2 months at a time you should only pay that for 2 months another ripoff
@livinginashevilleАй бұрын
They maintain the entire building and area so that can be useful if you re not there too.

Western Noth Carolina and Eastern Tennessee don't have large black populations. The area was too hilly and mountainous for large scale farming that used slaves like other parts of the south.
