Have you thought about using nanobubbles to grow both azolla and duckweed? I'm using ozonated water with good results but the dissolved oxygen of nanobubbles might be really good for the nitrogen transfer

You previously said you can't get rid of the kang kong in field 1 because the soil is so damp due to seepage from the pond. What if you kept a foot of water in field 1 and grow duckweed and azolla there for the tilapia in the pond?

Damp soil yes, but that is much different than keeping standing water replenished

Azolla is NOT great for many animals ,,, seems to be ok with cattle and sheep

Yep ,, duckweed out performs Azolla substantially. More digestible and all the trials found it could be used to replace up to 50% of feed without significant decline in growth rates. Azolla trials limited that to 10% max. Azolla trials on cattle / sheep where quite positive so i guess that second stomach is needed to break down the cell walls.

How about egg production? Which one is better, azolla or duckweed?
