Is Dynasty Warriors 9 really that bad?!?!

Dynasty Warriors 9 is better the empire. Now before this video old and everyone goes off on me just listen and let me right y’all wrong. 9 Empire is a good but listen why tf I gonna get artifacts on hard or chaos. While 9 got craft, fishing, all item, and more. Dynasty Warriors 9 empire is to capture a base that it. And yes I like English dub so what if y’all don’t like it switch to Japanese and Chinese or go back and play Dynasty Warriors 8 instead. Look Dynasty Warriors 9 is still cool and I like open world. End of story

I feel like the open world formula just doesn't work. Although my biggest issue is the poor half assed PC port we got. It doesn't detect my controller yet shows controller prompts even when I swap to KBAM. It's got to a point where I have to play it on the keys while it says "press RB" which = "Shift". Some games just aren't made for the open world formula and when replicated ends up disastrous. I think Pokémon Legends is a prime example of this. I feel empires is definitely the more strategic way to play but I just like fast and constant combat so I also prefer Dynasty Warriors 9. They could've done a lot better but I see the vision they were going for.

@@Meltdownlv100 dynasty warriors 9 is a “good” game. They tried something new with the open world and it kinda worked lol. But I hear orochi 4 is really good! Huge character roster but it’s not open world! I would personally go with orochi 4 first. Then swoop but DW9 for cheap in a few months!

Even though some have the same weapons and movements, you can adjust by adding fragments plus trigger attacks are different...and the Gems are awesome!!!

@@allbad4u honestly as a life long DW fan the way you progressed the story for this game irked me a bit, But I’m DW5 fanboy and loved the way you just played Characters stories as opposed to an entire army, so I’ve always tried my best to play the games this way, DW9 really improves this way and you get to focus on the specific characters you want to play as, once their story ends, start again with a new character, awesome way to play

@@allbad4u DW 3 was my first I ever played so I have so much love for it, but DW5 and 5 empires is where I put the most hours in overall out of any game (I still play 5 empires every now and then on my old 360) so yeah nostalgia blinds me to liking it the best (also the soundtrack bangs). I wish we still had the bodyguards from 3 implemented the same way, them arrow guys were OP

I'm glad your covering this subject been around since dynasty 1 and warriors 1, I played the demo and I enjoyed what I played. I will always love my hack n slash vs over 1k enemies. The only thing I didn't like is the overwhelming feeling on how big the worls map is. But that doesn't break the game for me. The camera I wish was more customizable I would like it a bit further back and auto spin! but again didn't break the game for me. I can't think of anything bad from the demo. I would like dynasty games to have much better pop in tho. I do understand there is a limit on how many pop in's there can be before fps starts dropping severely. Other than that the game is fine the characters are the same as always. This game series was never about graphics, just mindless hack n slash and cause there isn't many out there as once was I'm ok with the repetitiveness. Another complaint is how empty traveling feels. I think that's a major issue. They could have had random travelers and or merchants and towns to visit. But I completely agree the hate train was not deserved. To me the complaints were cause they tried something new and people who love this series had doubt and fear and hated just to hate.

I feel the same!! It was way over fan hyped and it sort of delivered everything we wanted! There’s so much here though!! The pet system, weapon customization, and items!! Only thing I wish is I had body guards!!

I dislike the fact that they didn’t throughly explain switching characters mid-battle. I played as guan yu and wanted to play as liu bei but when I switch it erased liu bei’s Progress from a previous game and made him skip a few chapters. This game could’ve done better

@@นัทคุงเองนะ your laptop doesn’t have a graphics card. I think even if you used the lowest settings possible the game would not be playable. Unfortunately your best option is to buy a Desktop and add a graphics card. In fact it may be dangerous to try playing this on your laptop. It will get so hot that it may cause damage in the long run. Dynasty warriors 8XE might just be playable for you. But you’d need to turn all the settings to extremely low. This would make the game look terrible. You would be best off buying a used PS4 for $200ish. This will let you play the game for far cheaper instead of buying a new computer.

It wasnt that bad UNTIL they added button prompts on bosses. Dynasty warriors is a "be overpowered and smash everything" game. Until you get their ultimaye weapon usually (in the older ones) then it got harder. Dynasty warriors 9 you can farm bandits and be lv 100 at start game so that ruins it. All that aside i REALLY ADMIRE what they were trying to do and i still enjoyed over 800 hours in it. Lol. I love dynasty games.

I'd say the backwards compatibility of the series x and ps5 could clean theses games up pretty nice, other then that I'd just stick to the PC ver or wait for empires 9, but thats just me.

If I may ask, how's the optimization in the PC version? I have a decent enough PC (Ryzen 3500, GTX 1650 Super and 16GB RAM) but I heard it's very badly optimized. My PC can run WO4U on ultra, locked 60fps. Can it run this? Thinking about buying the Complete Edition, it's about 24 dollars or so in my country.

I will add the season passes were a total rip off. Stuff u got for nothing in earlier games basically and weapons the character were already supposed to have. But still a good game overall (bloody money grabbers)
