here's my recommended starter DW games: 5 for the classic gameplay at it's peak 7 for the story (and it's very cheap nowadays) 8 for basically peak modern DW gameplay and content. If you combine 7 and 8 it's basically the perfect DW game, you can playthrough 7's story then move on to 8 for basically everything else.

Completely agree with dw 5 and its expansion xl and empires . I still play it to this day. I think dw 5 has the best gameplay so fluid and the sound is so crisp if that makes sense😅

I started with DW 4, then jumped right to 8, played 9 (got sick of it), and stayed with 8XL Complete Edition. 4 and 8 are definitely my favorites in the series, from finding Red Hare to the overall gameplay and fun both gave me.

Also, if you're starting out, it helps to know what the combos mentioned (and one he didn't) basically do. S (just mashing square): Not a bad option for focused damage against a single target. Usually there are better ones, but don't underestimate it. C1: In the PS2 era, this is your 'gimmick' move, for lack of a better term. Some are awesome but impractical, some are niche, some are useless. But always be sure to know what it is. In the PS3 era, they tend to be dubious guard breaking attacks. C2: Tends to involve knocking opponents into the air. In the PS2 era, it is virtually useless. In the PS3 era, there are a few good ones, but a lot of them are awesome but impractical. C3: Almost always a low-damage combo that stuns. Not a bad opener against officers. C4: Usually your best AoE attack. Starting your journey, learning to spam it is Lesson 1. Eventually, in DW4 and later, you will unlock... C5: In the PS2 era, it is the better aerial combo, but still more for showing off. In the PS3 era, with C2 largely taking C5's original job, they tend to land in between C4 and C6 (see below). C6: Maximum damage to a single target with significant AoE at the end.

for sure, didnt wanna get too detailed, the C6 isnt always AoE either, Zhao yun's c6 is not AoE he just jabs in some of the games

@@TheNightowlGaming Never really played Zhao Yun much before DW8. I do at least understand the appeal now. Can actually fight on horseback, and the jab reminds me of the old rapier set.

Before my dad passed he gave me his ps2 and DW5. I spent and unhealthy amount of hours playing it and it is still my favorite game to remember him by. I’m a Wei, Sima Yi type of girl😂

Amazing and I've played DW 5/already finished, I've got rare weapons and items. LED tv with PS 5... I think I need Rp. 15,000,000.00 million rupiah. Even though I want to use beautiful Chinese characters in DW, for example Sun Quan's wife BU LIANSHI... I'm also curious about Musao and TRUE Musao what they are like... and don't forget the story in the scene. I'm the one who likes the fire effect the most.. you can combo combos when the enemy is in the air, but it's still burning, then use the "heavy attack" button combo, 5/6 square + triangle, that's cool. DW 6.. not finished yet.. just got it 3 king horses+all half kings, new lv 100 weapons LU BU.thank you/terima kasih.👍😁
