Lovely share,from experience visiting several times as a black solo woman, traveling in the country can be a challenge,every corner you turn, someone trying to sell you something, not only trying to sell but trying to overcharge. My visit to the pyramids went smoothly because I went with a local but that still did not stop people trying to call me out, but he always put a stop to it. I think traveling to Egypt, people should just be ready to be "inconvenienced" every corner they turn. I have really enjoyed your video and appreciate the share.Will I visit Egypt again? sure why not

Yeah, but the prices are so good, even after they ask you to pay, you'll still be good. and the dollar increased again making a trip there even cheaper. Thank you so much for watching the video. you rock!

What kind of camera are you using? Since you wanted to hide it when going into the pyramid. I'm going in December and worried about my camera at their airport.
@AdventuresFactory2 ай бұрын
This is a gopro. I wanted to bring the A7siii, but you never know who you meet at the airport. DJI makes some fantastic cameras now that are barely detectable. DJI Osmo Pocket is pretty decent.

Cairo is simple.. stay in Madinaty and visit tourist attractions. Get ubers to go anywhere. That's it. You'll have a great time.

Did you ever stop to imagine how crappy the camels and horses felt? You should not take rides on them because they are not treated well.
@AdventuresFactory4 ай бұрын
I realize that, but in the majority of that part of the world, not even humans are treated well. You gotta remember that different cultures look at the world differently. In religious societies, people tend to see animals as means to serve them delivered to them by a devine plan. I would stand up for animals in the Western world, or I can be kind in there and find some food to give that animal, but I really can't do much that could jeopardize my safety. They also view that as an act of snobbery. The thought process is "How dare you see an old man or a child begging and not help them and rather go to their country and protest animal rights." It gets really tedious. It's better to spread awareness and show kindness to animals while monitored over protesting. Things can get way too complicated before you realize.

@@AdventuresFactory You can help by not participating in activities where animals are not being treated properly. For the record, I have lived in Egypt off and on for many years. There are great efforts being made by Egyptians themselves to change how people view and treat animals. Even if you don't want to say anything directly, you can help by not participating in these activities and making them profitable.

People are just living. Of course, on the media, you'll see something, but the reality is that they're chilling all night long, going from a restaurant to another, people are partying. I don't think there's much of a difference.
