The biggest difference I find is since cotton guard has a larger cooldown and isn’t as impactful, that means your own self sustain is so much worse. Meaning you are all the more at the mercy of teammates that don’t protect you/overextend. So you die, don’t get xp, and it snowballs.

I think a lot of people overvalued Eldegoss' healing when the real selling point is the shield at the start of Cotton Guard! Being able to straight up negate damage is basically just as good as healing it. While slightly less potent, I still think Puff+Guard Eldegoss for pure healing is a great pick!

That's exactly how I play! Cotton guard plus leaf tornado. The only thing is F2P, so all my items are no where near maxed. Eldagoss is still pretty solid! She's my main tbh.

Mr. Mime Guard Swap + Confusion. It does disgusting damage, and insta-stun. A great way to let a teammate kill

@@BigCowProductions If I ever try out Mimie, i've pondering going the Guard Swap + Confusion while using the Arena Walls as a pseudo Barrier... it'd be like having pseudo 3 Abilities instead of just 2 in exchange for positioning mattering more & being more difficult to finagle.

I've still been rocking Eldegoss and feeling fine. Sure some of my best moves got a little wind taken from their sails, but the healing and defense I can add is still nothing to sneeze at. Obviously not thrilled with it getting worse but I don't think it's all doom and gloom on the support front at all.

the only moves that got nerfed were the Unite attack (which you aren't using too often anyways) and Cotton Guard, and in Cotton Guard's case they only touched the heal and CD, when the main benefit of Cotton Guard was the shields to begin with.

I really dislike how hard they nerfed her healing but she wasn't nerfed into uselessness thank goodness. I just think it was a bit harsh and unnecessary considering she's currently the only healer in the game at the time I'm leaving this comment.

Crustle is a beast... Good thought on Muscle Band. I replaced it with Focus Band for survivability due to nerfs. you're still dead with 2+ DPS past Level 8. Cotton Guard is pretty rough with both longer CD for less healing. Cotton Spore is major increase in DPS, but your survivability goes out the window. Nerfs to all around healing was unnecessary, but Elde will adapt, survive, and overcome

I like to run Muscle Band + Scope Lens just because X-Scissor can crit and does a ton of damage if it crits.

I love that the janna build is the good one :) I played exclusively janna for years and the only reason I got into this game. I run float stone because of the chip damage and you can see the speed pick up once you get out of combat when disengaging If you ever play league you should try janna out. It’s such a fun character.

spragels on eldegoss is like watching a good Janna from league of legends, even though the assigned identity is an ally buff support, there are the correct tools in the kit to enable extreme lane bullying. Basically using the slows and speed ups to force enemies to 1v1 Eldegoss while their teammates are unable to reposition fast enough to assist, winning the short trade via a combination of shielding, healing, and poke, then disengaging with the movement speed difference once cooldowns are used.

Me and my buddies been rolling with 2 defender 3 attackers in games and weve been havin some good games, im Vet 4 and my buddies are vet 2, probably not good elo but it feels good playing it :)

would you say EXP Share is not a good option for Eldegoss after the patch? I use to go full support with pollen puff and cotton guard which i've used very well but now it seems I'll have to for a more offensive support.

Honestly it seems like right now, Eldegod is THE only poke to run Xp Share on & Xp Share has no other reason to exist any other time. The other 2 Supports are actually Sassins in disguise & the rest have no sensible playstyle for trying to avoid Last Hits for any reason that I can discern.

If I ever try out Eldegoss, i'm pondering going insane & trying out Cotton Spore + Leaf Tornado... especially as a Solo Queue Spec. :P I know from past MOBA XP how much it can suck to try to Support only for (supposed) Allies to run away from your Heals as if they're scared shitless your Heals are trying to kill them... :/

My tournament team runs two defenders. We see much success let’s you bully early game and get crucial mons fed on your team. Good way to snowball victories.

sadly here in sa servers no one thinks ''oh boy, i will play defender or suport'' people allways will run to a atacker, all rounder or speedster to set ready and play with the pokemon that they think it's cool (nothing wrong btw) . i dont care plaiyng as crustle be cause no one got a defender, i think that is lame that i gotta play defender cuz no one wants it, and i cant play with the pokémon that i want, and if i dont play defender we will get stomped and probably lose

Here's to hoping Roster Size will give more love to non-Attackers & avoid having ratio of Attackers to non-Attackers too absurdly skewed towards Attackers count. Mind ya, I love doin damage too, but I also can find plenty of enjoyment in playing 'hard to kill', 'jack-of-all-trades no major weakness', & especially 'violent support'. :D

The only difference for me when playing Eldegoss is I use Rock Helmet over Buddy barrier for defense. The reason being it gives you defense & health while when they hit you you hit them, would recommend if you solo a lot cause You can 1v1 any attacker. Plus your ULT makes you attack faster as well just as a reminder to everyone.
