it's a nice-looking app, but Bluesky truly is a whiny echo-chamber, and so many of the users in there seem to be proud of that. For them, a cringey right-wing echo chamber is problematic (and they're right, of course), but a whiny left-wing one is perfectly acceptable, even logical and shouldn't be surprising to anyone rational. It's baffling.

No it’s not, calling it an echo chamber can be an understatement. But people are fed up with the toxicity, censorship as well as the right wing propaganda crap that had been put out since Elon Musk took over Twitter. And since people decided to join BlueSky, a lot of people are free from the negativity and they can post whatever comes to mind. At least BlueSky isn’t some kind of algorithmic type where posts don’t have to rely on an algorithm that suits for what’s trending. But still the X trolls from Twitter would continue to come to BlueSky only cause drama and toxicity again only to be banned from BlueSky. If you really think that’s BlueSky is a whiny left-wing leaning echo chamber, then why are celebrities, along with scientists, comic book artists, writers, politicians, journalists, news sites, internet blogs, gaming companies, artists, activists and ordinary people from around the world are joining BlueSky? I’ll give you an honest answer: they want a community where they truly belong, free to express their own opinion.

It's all well and good to censor what you deem is inappropriate, but support for those that look for that content is also missing. Access to mental health basics - counselling for eg. - is rarely available without red tape and money. Yes, there is content for everyone online. Unfortunately, indoctrination is easy when you've got nothing else.
