It takes a lot of work and it takes time to be able to manage symptoms, just like any other disorder or illness. It's very hard to get diagnosed as an adult, but it is easier for females bc we are known to mask in childhood heavily and may not display like boys typically do. I know this from being a now disabled RN, and I also got the information straight from a psychiatrist as well. There are still criteria that have to be met in the DSM V 5 that is pretty specific, and she is just being stupidly stereotypical, and it pisses me off. I was diagnosed with adhd not add but adhd as an adult, and they have discovered it can cause a host of issues, but those are symptoms, not diagnostic criteria. Not being able to sit thru a movie is not enough to get an eyebrow lift towards an adhd diagnosis! There is a reason that it is considered a neurodivergent disorder. The symptoms can really suck, especially if you have sensory ones. Again, these are symptoms, not diagnostic criteria, so if she looks this up and tries to use symptoms to say she has it, I'm going to be even more upset! The reason they can't use a lot of the lesser known symptoms to diagnose is because they are symptoms that can occur in other disorders, so it doesn't help narrow it down to ADHD. So they stick to what is specific to ADHD to diagnose it, and then they can safely attribute symptoms to it. I don't think it's fair she keeps trying to benefit off the labels but does non of the suffering. I'm so sick of mental health diagnosis being a f*cking esthetic people try to collect while putting out false information by self diagnosing and sharing "their" symptoms. It doesn't work that way!

Coaching has helped me but it's so damn hard, it effects everything and I'm still waiting to get medication as there is a shortage in the UK.

@@HartKate I have to go thru shortages constantly too! Right now I'm on a smaller dose temporarily bc they are out of stock everywhere for two months already on my dose! The months I have to go without is so hard! I am so sorry you can't even get any relief! It really does effect everything. Even on medication one of the things I do bc I eat in my room bc it's comfortable lol is I often end up getting interrupted by something and I go to do it bc I can't eat if there is a task. But I will get distracted during that task by something, and after task 1 is done I go to whatever caught my attention and do that...2 hours later I remember I have dinner on my side table 😀. That happens way more than I will ever admit to and is one of the actual funnier things I do. But ya that's a good example of how it impacts things, bad parts are sensory like sound and touch like how fabrics feel especially on my hands. I use to have to work with one earplug in bc of sound sensitivity, but I'm disabled now but that's due to RA in my late twenties and a seizure disorder I developed in my early thirties, I'm 40 now. There is so many more things it affects but you of all people know what it is like.

It's one of the things to look for in crime psychology. It is never a GIVEN as indeed, for some people it's just a manner of speaking, but it's definitely a potential indicator. Amber seems to say it a lot so it does seem to be part of her baseline. However, her baseline is also that she lies all the time. LOL

Living in warzones or being trapped in an abusive relationship for an extended period of time as either a child OR adult could also cause c-ptsd!

​@@axosynapticyes, was also going to say this. it is not exclusive to childhood abuse survivors, childhood abuse is just quite a common cause of CPTSD because it's often caused by repeated/prolonged exposure or accumulation of complex trauma itself. while childhood specific trauma is a larger risk factor for people to develop CPTSD, it is not the only one. childhood abuse is a risk factor because statistically children are overwhelmingly more likely to be abused in their own home or by people whom they know/trust, leading to a development of complex trauma because the situation itself is incredibly complex, the feelings and consequently the coping mechanisms that occur when you're being harmed (mentally or physically) by the people who you rely on to keep you alive and who you should be able to trust the most, are quite complex.

The number of kids I work with who say they have anxiety or are triggered when they just mean they are nervous about something. I have to explain that being nervous is a perfectly normal thing. I actually think Amber exaggerates her level of childhood trauma. Her Aunt Tammy alluded to this as a reason for disconnecting with her. We've repeatedly seen that she is a proven unreliable historian, so why are we blindly accepting that she's as broken as she claims? It's clear that she relishes in the attention and passes she receives from her victim-Lynne persona and how she's been able to weaponize it to live off of others all of her life. It's also frustrating that's she's been able to monetize a false life, promotes misunderstanding of those truly struggling with certain conditions and disorders while using and abusing so many people in plain sight of thousands. I get it - it's hard to comprehend anyone who lies and manipulates in almost every interaction because most have never witnessed an undiagnosed narcissistic sociopath or narcissist psychopath on KZbin. We tend to want to believe the best, but Amber is a MASTERFUL manipulator. EVERY statement on this video is a manipulation to try and stop the complaints and backlash--convincing us Twinkie is happy and with her (likely to hide that Emily forced her to send her back with mom or keep her locked away to avoid dog fights and elderly dog potty accidents); her promising non-monetized 3-minute videos for vlogmas (so the lazy, boring 8 minutes she'll continue to do will somehow be accepted as giving us more), and Emily being mysteriously unwell (so viewers will be sympathetic and stop focusing on her feeder kink). The problem with Amber is that her narcissism deludes her into believing she's highly intelligent and convincing when she's so predictable and BAD at lying. Amber has NEVER admitted to or relied on BPD as a justification for bad behavior until she met Alexis who was genuinely diagnosed with it. Amber has never exhibited "BPD-coded" traits like "favorite person" fixation; she has always just exhibited the malignant narcissism trait of constantly seeking out a new victim to codependently use/manipulate. Even morphing into characteristics of her current girlfriends is consistent with those who have disorders which fall within the "dark triad" and therefore merely mimic emotions and behaviors to make themselves more likeable and relatable. BPD and NPD can share some crossover traits, and BOTH can be influenced by dysfunctional backgrounds, but NPD doesn't garner the sympathy BPD does. The reality is that Amber has never been officially diagnosed with ANY personality order, which is why her timelines don't add up and she often confuses details when she can't keep up with her lies. A WLS therapist would never self-diagnose even suspected BPD, which takes much longer to suspect and properly diagnose by a psychotherapist. Especially when Amber lies so routinely to her therapists. Amber simply reads up on disorders on Web MD and regurgitates back superficial info. No one can have as many true diagnoses as Amber claims and not be locked up somewhere as a human anomaly to be studied by science. She's collected about 30 disorders so far! Amber is not hard to decipher once you realize rooting for her to do the right thing without a hidden selfish agenda is pointless. She was simply being lazy about doing "her job" in October because she knew her biggest income from views and engagement comes in November and December, NOT because she was suffering with clinical or seasonal depression. I also suspect she's earning money with Emily doing OF or feeder content on the side. KZbin mainly satisfies her need for constant attention. This therapy arc is a new fake storyline to drag out until January where she'll then "get real and raw" by crying that she's a failure and couldn't commit to consistency because of her childhood. At the beginning of each cycle she commits to a goal that she knows ambabies have been trying to get her to follow through on to sustain higher views on her channel. She can't use anything weight related because she's dating a feeder. So, all the manipulation surrounding depression was her build up to the therapeutic cycle. I knew immediately that she was cosplaying seasonal depression by how ridiculously unkempt she looked on her last video! What a miraculous recovery she's made since last week when she couldn't brush her hair, wash her face, or put on a full shirt! And just in time for the new season! We are now entering a new troll persona of smug ( I fooled them again!), therapeutic-expert-Lynn who condescends to her audience as though we need to be better educated about her latest fake disorder, must believe her detailed over-explanations which make no sense and are without verifiable proof, must quietly accept anything she chooses to do on her channel without complaint, and where she takes no personal responsibility for the behaviors that disappoint, disgust, enrage and harm others--all while reminding us that it's not really HER but the BPD. Mark my words - this season will be shrimp-gate on steroids and should receive the same response of a humbling mass exodus. There is a difference between engaging with a typical lolcow (who mainly hurts themselves) out of a morbid curiosity versus enabling the predatory behaviors of a malignant narcissist. Amber won't ever do serious psychotherapy because she knows her true diagnosis is more likely NPD--possibly with a concomitant anti-social personality disorder. That's the only true fear she has--a genuine diagnosis.

10000% correct!!!!! As someone’s who’s actually gone through the process of getting a PD diagnosis, her timeline of it is impossible to be realistic, she knows nothing about the symptoms and criteria which she would have to be MARKED AGAINST TO EVEN GET THE DIAGNOSIS, and the wait list to see or even just get approved for (what I’m assuming) DBT with that psychiatrist would be months before an appointment. There’s no “real you” and “disorder you” it’s a PERSONALITY disorder. Hi Mr snowflake! I recently got diagnosed with c-ptsd so I thought it might help if I explained it a little as I understand it. Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) is a form of post-traumatic stress disorder caused by prolonged, repeated trauma, often during formative years. While PTSD is typically triggered by a single, C-PTSD develops from continuous trauma. My C-PTSD comes from :My father, a narcissist, physically abused me, my mother, and my sister. My mother, a religious zealot, has also repeatedly threatened me with violence and sent death threats due to my agnostic beliefs. It's really hard to see amber talking about it like it's another pokemon to collect. I started exposure therapy and it's really hard to relive memories.

Remember when it was revealed that with Beck and Wipey BOTH tried to break up with Amber before their actual break ups and Amber just wouldn't let them through manipulation and the fact that they didn't have any where else to go/couldn't immediately leave or have any space.

No one who is really diagnosed and going thru mental health disorders wants their entire life to look like one giant pity me party on paper, let alone actually tell that to everyone around them! I still had and have a lot of blessings that are way more fun to talk about! Just my opinion but she never wanted to take meds because she never wanted to get any better because then she would have nothing to blame her horrible behaviour on or the fact that she won't/can't fails at losing weight - it's always her "mentals" fault so it's not her fault that way and she can't be held accountable.... Plus I also think most if not all of her supposed diagnoses aren't real so she wouldn't even be able to get medication for them any way. She made up the excuse that she doesn't take her prescribed meds because of her childhood trauma of her parents being addicts - that's why she won't even take a pain killer when she has a headache apparently - but yet she will drink alcohol, vape, consume THC... So those things are fine and don't bother her but taking an anti depressant (or any other kind of prescribed medication from a doctor) gives her "major anxiety" and reminds her too much of her childhood trauma of her parents being addicts... Maybe I'm the idiot, but that doesn't add up to me. None of the things she does (vaping, THC, alcohol) are any good for her and are addictive - yet meds that would help her and make her feel better she won't take... It doesn't add up.

I feel like tommy is just using amber to feel less lonely after her partner died. She has a weird deadly kink but i so think she misses her late partner. I think she keeps amber there to not be alone but Tommy resents her, because she isnt who she wants to be there. Amber is a place holder. i agree about tommy simply missing her late partner and not being truly happy with amber. if i was amber, knowing someone's partner/fiancé JUST passed away, no matter WHAT they told me, would give me pause and make me question whether or not they were truly into me or using me to help them grieve. but because it's amber, even if she has/had her doubts, she wouldn't ever actually leave bc even if the love is temporary and to fill a void, for amber that's enough.

It's hard work. Really hard work. But you can do it (Amber can't)! I'm speaking from experience, done so much therapy, both DBT and CBT, for years. I was extremely self destructive. But I'm in remission, been for years, and its fantastic. I'm stable, having good relationships, and I've learned so much! Rooting for you, and all of you that's going through this. Umballoon can go eft herself, though.

Yet back at the house with Ricky and Eric, they would all have movie marathons over *whole* weekends and have days where they did nothing but watch movies all day - and many times in her vlogs she would say she is binge watching series... Now because she wants ADHD so badly it's "I can't even get through a single movie guys!" I do think Amber probably has a poor attention span these days but not because of ADHD - it's just because her brain is bored. She does nothing. NOTHING! All damn day - she has no mental stimulation or anything to tire her brain out plus she doesn't get any physical exercise either.... Concentration and focus is as much a learned skill as anything is and the ore you do it, the better you are at it and it can take discipline and perseverance (which we know Amber sucks at) In the last 11 years she hasn't had to focus or commit to anything - she is just adrift and her brain is reflecting that... But that's not ADHD!
