It is worrying the amount of people that are completely oblivious to the reality of the situation. It was never a black and white fallacy, at no point, nor did it ever have the capacity of becoming so until you yourself make that perspective. But even WITHIN that idea, you do realize...Eren wanted to be stopped? At 80%? Which later proved to obviously bomb Paradis OBVIOUSLY. He wanted to stop at whatever percent. If he already made the choice and wanted to completely assure their safety by giving them a chance of stopping him which they later did, and of course the remaining population destroyed their descendants. Eren wanting to be stopped doesn't really mean they had other options. It just means he felt bad about what he was doing and wanted to at least somewhat have a peaceful outcome. But there wasn't any. What was the course of action that he could've taken to ensure his people's survival without causing any form of death or retaliation from anyone else? If he just went after Marley it would've solidified Paradise as Devils to the rest of humanity, which would wipe them out once Technology advanced enough. If he just left the world alone then they would've attacked Paradise anyway. There were already plans and attempts to steal the Founder. Those wouldn't stop just because Paradise isn't fighting back. It didn't stop Marley from attempting to steal it with the Warriors when Paradise was inactive for a century. So it wouldn't stop them now. Paradise is also abundant in natural resources that the world wants like Ice Burst Stone, so people who don't even care about Titans would go just for that. Most scenarios still lead to Paradise's destruction. Heck the scenario he picked still led to its destruction in the end. His goal was to just ensure Paradise's safety for the longest time possible. And even that wasn't enough. Is genocide okay? No. Was there anything else for Eren to do to protect his people? Also No. This outcome was inevitable, so he picked the one where they would suffer the least.

Eren didn't "invade" Marley. Notice Eren didn't attack until AFTER war was declared on Paradis and Paradis was already attacked by Marley. Are we just going to skip Episode 1? Where Paradis was invaded? There had been "peace" for a hundred years at that point. The meeting he attended while undercover was about trying to get the world on Marley side, Marley even spoke up for the eldians in Marley and blamed it all on the island devils. I feel like it was never supposed to be whether or not eren was right, but to show the ultimate horror of war, that which lies in those that are left, the trauma that it leaves in those "lucky" enough to survive, and how without proper care and nurturing to help heal from that trauma, it can lead to people who in difficult times will likely pull from what that trauma beat into them, and in this case it was that those in power must use it to hold the world around themselves down to ensure they maintain it, and even beyond that, that at the end of the day the titans will win, no matter how safe you think you are

The argument kind of falls on its own fallacy of not knowing, because Eren, after being in touch with The Founder, can see all times at the same time. The Founder called Eren into existence to be free and to free the Eldians "To you from 2000 years ago" Eren said as much so Eren can see the future so Eren does KNOW what will happen, at first I think he was disappointed and wanted to activate the rumbling but after being able to see the future he knows this is what he must do. Eren may be the one who got the first kill and is winning this war but Tybur is the one who start this war. You can see everyone from every country cheering as Tybur declares war against The Island. And in the last episode of part 2. The Government already planning to team up for the war, which is why Eren left. Eren already knows what coming, he just waits for Tybur to start the game. For Marley, they are not just Invade the Island because they scare of the titan. They want their resource( The diamond Cave) and they want the founding titan power to continue dominating other countries. Peace would have remained if they never making the Warrior break the wall. The Colossal titan pretty much becomes the guardian of peace, hopefully changing people's perspective of the titan. The problem is the 13 years life span. Problem with your plan is multifold: 1-As soon as the world's militaries figure out you refuse to attack the cities and just focus on bases, the surviving personnel would hide in the cities and use their own people as shields. Their industrial capacity would remain untouched too, unless you use the Colossals to throw stuff at them from afar...which would inevitably lead to the World's economies to collapse. Paradis and Azumabito would be nowhere close to satisfying those material needs. Remember: Colossals burn everything on their path, which includes crops and livestock. Massive famines and economic breakdown would in turn be followed by pandemics...and voila, you'll still end up killing 60% (if not more) of the world's population in a far slower and painful way. The few that remain would hate you as much as it gets. Soon enough, guerrilla movements would sprout...and that takes me to tge second part of my argument. 2-Colossals are not invincible, for well known reasons. Hange alone was able to take down a dozen or so. Once the non-eldian guerrillas figure out a 3d-gear and its tactics, Colossals would start falling in droves and the backbone of your plan collapses....and keep in mind this could happen specially at the beggining of the implementation of your "Colossal Blockade". Even if not all Colossals are brought down, the situation will devolve into a mess that would give non-eldians the upper hand again...GAME OVER. No more negotiations would solve that. Remember: you want to ensure YOUR side survives. Not both, not the other, because for the latter you just need to bend over and do nothing until they erase you from existence. You want YOUR side to survive first, and only to the extent its compatible, the other. Any decission that does not ensure this premise would most likely cause your doom.

Something to note here is that Eren never forced the Eldians into war before his "invasion" of Marley the Marleyans themselves are already declaring war on the Eldians and are trying to convince the rest of the world to join them in eradicating his people. That was the whole point of Willy Tybur's speech right before Eren killed him, he was declaring war. The only thing Eren did was struck first right after Willy declares open warfare. If anything, what Eren did was smart because regardless of his own actions Marley was still gonna war with Eldia. By striking first he was able to cripple his enemies greatly by killing their leaders and if it wasn't for Reiner convincing the Marleyans to attack Eren they would've still been lost and confused.

I am rewatching attack on titan and I have a question. Wasn’t the whole reveal that since eren can see the past present and future at the same time, he knew certain things would not work? Like at the end of season three. They could have just stopped there and been happy, but future eren already knows that Marley is planning another attack. Hence, present day eren wants to wipe away all of his enemies on the other side of the ocean to be free. My thing is the video said that if you don’t know for certain. But eren did know. Take the cheating idea again. If you knew for a fact that your spouse was going to cheat on you. Like you saw the future and you saw the whole thing play out. You try to ignore it or change certain outcomes but the same visions keeps happening in present time just as you foreshadowed. Morality is assigning value judgments, value judgments only come from subjects affected by both genes and environment. You can be 100% deterministic in everything, and still morality depends on a subject. Just like literally all value. Value is not an inherent property of the universe my friend, it is an emergent feeling from sufficiently sentient beings.

Think about the statement, “I am a good person.” What is that statement really saying? By what standard are you employing ‘good’, what does that mean? Can you trace it back to any objective marker, or simply the values of the society of which we are a part of? Independent of sentient thinking beings, is a star blowing up good or bad? It’s neither, it’s simply a process. Does money have value without sentient thinking beings? No. Value systems are emergent properties, they aren’t inherent to the universe but rather a product of complex feelings by sufficiently sentient beings. Morality is just saying what you prefer. The statement “I am a good person” simply means “I embody thoughts or exhibit behavior that I prefer to see in the world.” That’s it.

Eren was completely right. Just as predicted, the world was pissed at Paradis AGAIN and mobilised to eradicate them AGAIN. Not to mention had they not wanted to genocide Paradis the first FEW TIMES this outcome would've never happened. At least if Eren killed everyone, any future wars (which would not happen for an extremely long time as they are all one group now), would happen over resources like normal. Not a grudge from 1000s of years before due to supernatural powers. That's just such an unlikely cause for wars, at least war for understandable reasons.

It's not speculation. The ending of Attack on Titan shows Paradise being destroyed. And before you say Eren couldn't have known that would happen, he could literally see the f***ing future. Eren looked at every possible timeline and determined that the only future where Paradise survived was one where the Rumbling was carried out.
