I love how ZOS took fire damage away from all but one of Templar's abilities, changing them instead to magic damage, because it was "too OP for Templars to do fire damage". And yet it's now perfectly fine for other classes to do all manner of elemental damage. And with this new DK set, even their light attacks will cause fire damage? Meanwhile the Templar's Aedric Spear themed class set somehow sucks even more ass than the last set. So much for Sweeps/Jabs being worth a shit anytime soon. And handing NB _more_ PvP viability? Is ZOS just trolling, at this point? Sorc, NB, Warden, DK all either need to be dialed back or Templar and Necro need a LOT of work to get them up onto a level playing field with the others.

yeah the market for unneeded furniture allows people to get into housing without spending many millions on diagrams. Deconstruction would really gut that healthy part of the market while really inflaming the raw materials market which is already brutal

I been saying for years, if they want me to get eso+ they need to give me a "warehouse" with it. the warehouse would hold 1000+ furnishings, be accessible in the housing editor, that way you can either get rid of "storage homes" or at least go to them placing items you want to use in a new home in the warehouse and place them from the editor

@@huberthumphry280 Accessibility of designated warehouses in the editor would be a step in the right direction. However, I have 2 large houses stuffed full and am also using some 150 banking slots for stackable items. Many of these are luxury vendor items and antiquities that are hard or impossible to get on the open market, or not in the quantities you might want. In other words: 1K items is by far not enough. No. It would have to be a bottomless bag, like the craft bag.

@@aussie-elders Whereas my characters are busy people :). They can all PvP and do daily writs. They all have roles and different builds. Some have 100+ gear items. Playing all roles in vTrials, PvP and IA you end up with lots of actively used, situational gear. Housing storage is full with gold or Hakeijo-enchanted gear, not ready to decon. This is all to say, I have literally no room.

I was hoping for bigger storage or at least more containers. I'm not a big housing person, so I'm more interested in the Archive changes. They probably need to retire support for the ancient consoles to really add much more housing space.

Definitely need more storage. Housing aside, this game is constantly adding more sets that have so be stored SOMEWHERE. And since you never know when they'll make changes to a set and what might be useful to what classes up the road, I tend to hold on to any sets that are at least moderately good, especially any Divine stuff, since I don't want to constantly do the transmute treadmill. Seriously, I wish they would at least just double the bank slots available, it would help a lot.

It wasnt a bad housing update/feature, but it was not the hyped up, lips sealed, 10 year anniversary housing update that was expected. I think people just feel somewhat catfished. I'm happy for the console players, but i also know a lot of those players are saying the same thing.

Console player here. 6+ years now? It did not meet the expectation at all. They essentially added a search function but no actual functionality to housing in general and personally.

Why they do not do a craft bag for furnishings seems crazy to me. If they gave each account an additional dictionary (data type), it would make more sense then having each character have an entry in their inventory, that has to be kept updated with the server every time an edit is made. To me it seems like it would require fewer operations, and less storage server side, to have a craft bag for furnishings. Just a key for the furnishing, the number of crown purchased items, and the number of non-crown purchased items.

Absolutely love that Necro has gotten some attention... But they should reconsider which skills were changed. The class has needed Major Sorcery/Brutality since it was released, and I am happy it has finally got it. But it would make much more sense to tie these Major buffs to the the core damage ability of the class, Blastbones. Blastbones is a key skill in both PvP and PvE. And Skeletal Mage is a purely PvE skill. Putting Major Sorcery/Brutality on Skeletal Mage is forcing PvPers to use a bar slot for this key buff basically what we are already doing with entropy or run potions which we are also already doing. Having it on Blastbones would make both PvPers and and PvErs happy.

ZOS focuses on unnecessary functions. Is enhanced home visits really something players are waiting for, expecting? I doubt it. Should ZOS programmers/graphers focus on just that? In my opinion, it's a waste of man-hours and something better could have been done in that time.

Well, I think it's inaccurate to claim that the devs are focusing only on housing, and some people love the housing system and will love the update, so good for them. It's not important to me, but if their next biggest update were pvp, for example, there would probably be even more people complaining about that, because the majority of the players don't do pvp at all ;)

Housing tours and visits are pretty decent part of the game. I remember when everyone would travel to Dolgubon maze and try to go through it. It was word of mouth then, but it would be so much cooler to see it posted in housing finder.

Nefas, the beam is a snare so basically, it will be perma status effects, and would probably stack well with the set that boosts satus effects and the dk set looks like it would pair well with marselokk monster set 😂 both sets seem broken

As a console player I just wish they’d buff the keen eye perks because pc add-ons let pc players see resources from miles away and console players can only see nodes within 30 meters.

Do you know what I really really want that would help me out armor stands you should be able to have 10 armor stands for you can have armor sets that you craft on display and you can grab them from the armor stand anytime you need them instead of shove them into a chesttaking up space and having to search for them and your chest it’s an absolute nightmare and then you had to worry about accidentally deleting them destroying them. It takes time you might accidentally destroy them and you have to go farm them.

2024 and still no sort of combat metrics for console is insane a monetized armory system you can't even use in trials. This is why alot of people are leaving console so many addens and quality of life addons. Intsead they add stuff to the base game that nobody ask for and sweep under the rug what is wanted also to be fare it was widely stated a long time ago that servers wouldn't help pvp and long behold once they did it helped pvp so..

Yeah, I feel that. After 4 years I've completed everything on offer (except trials) twice. Normally I'd have a new zone finished in 3 days after release, but I've barely gotten half of Gold Road completed all these weeks later. I forced myself to finish Necrom. Idk, I play for story and it just all kinda feels shallow and painfully repetitive. Was hoping the new update would bring something really cool, but this ain't it.

This drama is weird to watch because I really haven't been up to date with eso news so I'm not disappointed in this patch because I held no expectations for it.

The problem is they hyped up this supposed "housing update" since the beginning of 2024. Like this was supposedly a Q3 feature they were willing to put up on the board for players to look forward to for 9 months. Q3, where in the past they have launched Zone/Dungeon DLC's, Infinite Archive and such. So based on that, one might come to the conclusion that it is actually some kind of substantial change coming to housing. But what they announced is not worthy of being hyped for most of a year. At most it's something that should be mentioned at the last minute in some patch notes as a footnote. So what seems to be going on is they have massively scaled down working on the game, and are now putting up miniscule features up on the road map as supposed "big updates" to the game.

Tbh, they should just call ESO a housing simulator as its all that they have really concentrated on for a few years now. Its an easy cash grab for them and they know it. One of the many reasons people have stepped away from eso and created skepticism of anything ZOS related in the future

I think the house browser is much bigger than people think vs EHT. Sure someone with EHT can find other people's houses, but with integration everyone without EHT can find your houses. I work on extremely detailed cobbles for my own enjoyment but I get very few visitors to them: they're listed on EHT but the subset of people who have EHT and who regularly browse houses is extremely small. That's really the weakest link in housing appreciation I think and more people might get into it in the first place with standard access to inspo

But stop talking about TESO players like a mass, TESO have many communities inside, maybe next time you can talk about specials demands from some TESO communities and how each patch or updated affect those special targets. Love this game, gonna play til they shut it down. this housing update is crap. I don't mind the opinion of pc players on console experiences but console player here. This is not what we wanted, do we want it? YEs! absolutely. As much as a starving dog would snatch a piece of meat dipped in a toilet would. We will take what we can get. 10th year anniversary expecations not met. This is another update we would expect any other year and be like "oh ok, alright yeah." It will definitely be utilised especially in community guilds that have housing contests etc. but when I walk into my home, this update plays NO PART in ANYTHING at all.
